Grimlock; Robot mode

The Library; I'm back! But only for the weekend

His guess, for once, was right. There were indeed zombies outside and the shooting was because the various inhabitants were trying to defend themselves. At least that was something he knew about, even if it's not by much. But he was still winded yesterday and his processor decided that rest was more important now as he drifted back to unconsciousness.

...

He was startled awake by the familiar voice of Plague Knight apparently questioning Miss Tairee about his contaminated potion. She answered him in kind and Grimlock couldn't help notice something was missing, or rather, someone. Mary was gone. His first reaction was to look across the immediate vicinity. When he found no sign of her, he then decided to search the whole library. To say the least, he didn't know there were about four floors.

Arriving back at the second floor, it was only then did he notice that they were barricading the entrances and windows. He nearly forgot about that. But still...if Mary was gone...maybe she was back in her home, like—who he assumed to be—Sawyer? He hoped so. He'll go ask Miss Tairee before he'll go help with the barricading.

He went up to her desk and was about to ask normally until he remembered that people wanted to go home and a few didn't like Miss Tairee. If they found out that someone she cared about was sent home, they might think it was because she wanted that to happen. Then they would be mad.

So instead, he kneeled down close to her and whispered, hopefully only loud enough for only her to hear, "Miss Tairee? Is Mary back in her home?"

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

Pet Shop — Bowel Explosion

Rex heard a shot coming from down the street. A guy in armor tried to kill one of the zombies with his rifle but that only made things worse because the zombie exploded on his face.

This apparently threw the zombies into a frenzy since basically everyone of them charged after guy. Meanwhile, Sadness activated one of the buttons on the tank's panel and shot down a few zombies.

Rex was both surprised and glad that she had somehow repaired the tank since he had shut it down yesterday.

"Well, maybe giving weapons to small children is a good idea. Sometimes" the horde of zombies didn't stop charging at the guy, though and Rex was ready to giv ehim a hand "But the guy still needs help"

Rex got out of the pet shop and built his motorbike to try and grab the guy. Besides the smell, the biggest issue right now would be dealing with a horde of zombies that were completely focused on the armored guy. At that would make them get away from the shop

"More importantly, if I just let you go, you'd talk about that pretty lady that tried to kill you, and my reputation would be - "

Seiga would not finish that sentence, as Sophie, expecting the blue-haired woman to try something like that after showing control over Yoshika's trajectory, brought her hand up to block the jiangshi's incoming divebomb. In nearly a split-second, Yoshika's trajectory was minutely altered to miss Sophie; at the same time, Sophie dashed past the jiangshi, her hand flat and held forward like a powerful rapier thrust, glowing with visible eleth that would send the jiangshi skyward. Sophie's momentum then brought her closer to the incoming 'zohm-bee' crowd, and they began shuffling towards her in response.

I need to get out of here. I need to find out where I am. A particularly fast zohm-bee managed to close the distance and attempted to catch her in a bear hug; she quickly ducked low, the zohm-bee's momentum carrying him stumbling forward. The purple-haired girl slid out from underneath as the zohm-bee fell, before somersaulting into the air over the rest of them as they approached. She landed a meter past them; with the zohm-bee crowd now placed between her and the two hostile women, Sophie took off in the opposite direction, arms out at her sides as she ran.

"This will do until I can scavenge for better ones."

Gon picked up the double-barreled shotgun and the accompanying 12 gauge shells.

"Where's the main threat right now, L.T.?" Gon asked Lt. Wells for any new details that he may possibly know about.

Odd Town, Special Payload
Okay, Seiga was just having bad luck today. That's all. She still had no idea why or how she even showed up in this city in the first place, and now she just managed to fail at murdering a girl that was so short she could probably be called Stubby Susan. Her actions as she was running away made Seiga feel a tinge of panic, not that she showed it outwardly. As the girl wrested herself away from a zombie, it also made her feel another emotion: inspiration!

This girl could probably dodge Yoshika all day, so the hermit temporarily took her back to her side as they flew in pursuit. They ducked low over the mob, and Seiga said to Yoshika, "Grab a couple of the zombies!" Yoshika felt the need to say something along the lines of "Wha-" before Seiga added a clarifying "Just do it!" so she refrained. She skimmed low enough to grab at one by the collar of his shirt, which immediately tore free, and another by its outstretched arm. It didn't seem to particularly enjoy this turn of events, and dug its claws deep into Yoshika's limb. Yoshika certainly didn't mind this, beyond the fact that it would probably mean Seiga would probably have to spend time cleaning her up in the near future, and that was monumentally boring.

Seiga called out over the rush of wind as they got right onto the girl's tail, "Now, throw it as hard as you can!" Yoshika wound up with a spin, and tossed the unfortunate zombie with surprising accuracy straight at the girl. The jiangshi suddenly accelerated in another attempt to grab at her, and Seiga herself also tried to jump her and pin her down. The perfect three-pronged, all-flying jetstream attack! If this didn't do anything, the two of them would have to get desperate.

"Right then, let us go!" Plague Knight said to Lune and Garret, and the knight set out of the library into the now dilapitated City with his two traveling companions presumably following.

"We should stick to being out in the open," the knight started to explain, "as while the undead tend to be rather stupid with only a few smart enough to wield whatever they have on hand and swing it around wildly, they can be surprisingly very sneaky and hide in dark or secluded spaces, waiting to pounce. This way, is any try to sneak up on us, we shall have the advantage.

"Right now, our first goal is to head over to the supermarket and obtain as much supplies as possible," Plague Knight continued. "Mostly water and liquids, as thirst is far more important to address than hunger."

Zelda frowned. "Well, if it helps...I don't think he'd actually hurt you over it. He'd probably just ask to see it, take a look at it, and then give it back to you. Maybe he'd be able to upgrade it even if he could figure out how and had the right materials. He's a little eccentric, but generally speaking he's a well-meaning man. Most of the people of Skyloft are good, or at least they're above hurting others if they're not the nicest people around."

But you weren't above it, were you? some voice in the back of her mind questioned. She did her best to ignore it. It was telling that Ben didn't seem to judge her for her actions either, or at least didn't care enough to question her about them. Viola didn't seem to either, although she did seem awfully eager to point out that she was functional.

"Though there's something that bothers me that your worlds think of it as a weapon before anything else. Considering everything it lets you do...wouldn't it have many other uses other than just another way to hurt people?"

She self-consciously raised a hand to her own ears when Ben pointed out that the humans he knew had rounded ears instead. "Well, um...before now I never really noticed the shapes of everyone else's ears. Since everyone in Skyloft has the same kind of ears I do, I guess I didn't think to check." She let her hand fall and shrugged. "Let's just go with what Viola said and just take it for a difference between our respective worlds? It's not worth raising a fuss over, really."

"So you can be useful after all" Lieutenant Wells muttered as he saw Juri helping with the book shelves. He started getting to other work, then Gon walked up to him and got a glare from the soldier in return.

"You? Just where were you yesterday soldier?! I can't have members of my militia going AWOL as they please and still expect to be treated as equal members!" Lieutenant Wells scolded Gon. "The main threat is the monsters menacing the city; second to that is dehydration. If you'd been paying decent attention, you'd already know that!" the soldier continued, shaking his head in just general disapproval overall.

Meanwhile, Miss Tairee glanced her eyes up at Grimlock then looked around for a moment to see if anyone else was close enough to hear. Once confident that they wouldn't be overheard unless someone was packing super hearing or a sensitive microphone, she angled her head up to whisper back. "Yes, but it wasn't my idea. My boss picked her at random to be sent back early" Miss Tairee whispered to Grimlock.

Scuffle with the charger

"What fucking library?!" the man yelled, getting his carbine up as Cole covered him and then started firing short full-auto bursts on nearby zombies. With some still getting a bit worryingly close, he jumped and took off with his jet pack again, landing on the edge of a nearby rooftop.

The charger tried to follow Jack but obviously couldn't since he was up in the air, grunting in pain as he started to blast away at it but not yet going down; it was a tough one. It turned its head as it heard Cole yelling and running at him. It didn't charge again, not yet having recovered its energy enough to try a second time, but it did promptly swing its large-as-a-tree arm at Cole in a backhand motion when he came close. Hit or not, it would not long after succumb to Jack's barrage of ice and go down. In terms of significant threats, that left only the zombie with the tentacle like tongue, which was moving back into a doorway down the street from them and letting out another loud moan before shooting its tongue out towards Jack.

Seiga and Yoshika versus Sophie

There were some rather close gunshots just ahead of Sophie at an intersection ahead of her, then she heard a woman yelling. "Save your ammo for something that's actually a threat!" Then someone walked, or rather slithered around the corner right in front of her: A woman who was human from the waist up, but had the body of a large snake from the waist down. Aside from her simple shirt all she was really wearing was arm bands that had the word "human" written on them and then crossed out. Being right in front of Sophie and only just looking over as Seiga chucked a zombie at the former, the woman didn't have time to get out of the way.

Ben crossed his arms and shook his head. "As cool as that'd be, that's not possible. The Omnitrix is stuck on my wrist. I can't take it off even if I wanted to," he told her. When Zelda told him of the possible non-weapon uses, he thought for a moment.

"You're right... there could be a lot of things that this thing does. It's just, so many people want power in my universe I guess. I mean, I use it for fun too, but I have to use it to help people who can't help themselves." He shrugged. "Whatever. It doesn't really matter right now. Once we're out of the city we can deal with that. And it doesn't bother me about your ears. I was just pointing it out."

Cole didn't get any indication from the creature's mind of it's intentions, but something that size could hardly be called stealthy. He didn't hesitate to drop into a quick slide, scrambling a little on a patch of ice to keep himself from toppling off balance, but managed to get under the swipe with nothing but his hat getting knocked off, skidding before coming to a stop on one knee, daggers to either side.

The man they'd saved seemed confused about the notion of the library, which did have Cole confused for a moment before remembering that there were newcomers entering the city all the time...he'd been one of them, after all.

Before he could deal with that, though, the thing with the long tongue appeared again, lashing out towards Jack. "Watch out!"

Cole stood quickly, shifting the grip on one dagger and drawing back to fling it hard towards the zombie. He didn't have any expectation of it doing much except distraction, but hopefully that would be all Jack would need to be able to get out of the way or fight back himself.

Once again, he was right. It also meant that there was no way to influenced who went home first. He nodded at Miss Tairee and quietly said, "Okay. Thanks." Then he stood and was about to make his way to help with barricading until he noticed Zelda. He nearly forgot what happened yesterday. He wondered if she was really fine. He felt a little bad about killing bad guys, how muchmore for Zelda, who killed a friend?

So he made his way to them and sat down on the floor nearby. At this point, they were talking about the Omnitrix. That reminded him of something.

"Hey, Ben. Wanna scan me now?" he said.

As robot mode, he had fingers and they weren't too large to touch the watch and accidently hurt Ben.

Ben perked up and turned towards the Dinobot, smirking slightly. "That'd be fun," he told Grimlock, moving his arm up so that the Omnitrix's faceplate (currently red) was facing towards him. "All right, now I think you just touch it. Be gentle though, I don't want you to break it or anything." He winced back a little, not sure if it was a good idea now that Grimlock was now up, towering over him even though they were both at normal size.

"I'm also not even sure if this would work, anyway. You're a robot, aren't you?"

As she was facing ahead, Sophie immediately spotted the snake-woman emerging from around the corner. She's going to get hurt if I dodge, the purple-haired girl thought, before quickly deciding what to do next.

Sophie skidded to a stop right in front of the new stranger and spun around, now clearly seeing the three-stage attack being used against her. With only a second to react, she flattened her hands, both glowing with charges of eleth... and then she all but disappeared -

- for a split-second, before reappearing and striking the incoming zohm-bee projectile with dual skyward chops and sending it into the air flailing helplessly. Suddenly, Sophie's foot started to glow instead, and she rocketed back down with impressive force, catching the zohm-bee underneath her... and hopefully Yoshika underneath it in turn.

If she managed to pin the jiangshi down, Sophie would immediately follow up with another two-stage attack: a left-aimed kick with her right foot to fling the zohm-bee and Yoshika to one side with her unusual strength, then finally a right-aimed kick with her left foot to catch Seiga in the stomach and send her into the wall.

"Yeah. But...well, Denny sometimes calls us alien robots. And I still need to eat stuff and wasn't, like, built by someone else like those robots in the movies," he said.

He then very carefully touched the faceplate with as little strength as he could. To Ben, it wouldn't be too much force, actually feeling about as strong as a person's hand lightly tapping him. He hoped it'll work.

The library— Omnitrix, roll out!

Ben winced as the giant Dinobot touched the face of the Omnitrix, expecting a crash or a large amount of force, or a snapping sound or something. Instead, there was a light tap, then an unusual beeping sound coming from the Omnitrix. His eyes snapped open, and he whipped the Omnitrix towards his face. The red face of the Omnitrix flashed yellow a couple of times, then it turned back red, showing a silhouette of a humanoid, somewhat mechanical-looking figure.

"Whoa," Ben muttered.

Ara Haan & Eun (Library) - Ragtag Bunch of Misfits

At last, Ara arrived to the central building of the city, and I have to admit that I found the situation rather... perplexing. Outside the building were a few people, walking around aimlessly. Although people was not the proper word to use in that context, because while they did resemble human beings, they were truly far less than that. Which meant that, regardless of where they'd come from or how, it'd be better if Ara kept her distance. At least for the time being.

Ah, but she had noticed them as well.

'Eun... are they...'

'Do not worry about them for now, Ara.'

'Right... we have to figure out where we are.'

With that out of the way, she leapt from the rooftop she was standing in, and made a quick dash through the air towards the building. it took her only a couple of moments to reach it, and a couple more to get inside. And then... she froze where she stood upon seeing the most bizarre group of individuals she had ever seen in her life. Although, in all honesty, it was the most bizarre group of individuals I had ever seen as well.

"..."

Truly there were no words to describe it.

Sky above the streets - Sorrow

Caro could only stare increasingly in horror as she heard the tragic tale of how everyone in Sans' world had been just ... killed by a human child. That ... explained the way he had been acting about Mary. He had thought he was seeing the situation repeat itself in this city, hadn't he?

Any thougts about her memories of Fate were gone from her mind for now. This ... was far worse than anything that she could have imagined. She didn't know what to do. Everything was too horrible for words and what could she possibly say about it? If she hadn't been able to reach out to Zelda, how much more true would that here, with things this worse off?

She hadn't even realized she had started to cry again until then. When she spoke, her tone was broken with sorrow. "B-But ... T-They just ... Everyone? That's just too ... I-I mean, we had a madman t-trying to destroy our world last year, but ... A-At least we managed to stop him and somehow ... it sounds less horrifying than .... That."

It took a while for her to collect herself. Once she was a bit more calm she said, "'I ... Don't have any more questions ,thought if there is anymore that you need speak of ..." She couldn't even look at him at the moment, so instead she trained her eyes on the ground below trying to find any signs of people in trouble.

On the way to the Grocery Store.

Lune listened to Plague Knight’s plan and just nodded. These zombies are pretty easy to deal with, but you should never let your guard down around them! They might launch a sneak attack at this very instant!

Lune quickly decapitated one of the offending party with the Divine Blade. As it turns out, it was an anthropomorphic turtle with rotten-smelling skin. That was a pretty unusual for a zombie. What kind of world has anthropomorphic turtles?!

However, there was a sickly green mushroom with fangs still charging at Plague Knight. Guess fate has dealt them a bad hand unless Plague Knight can think quickly on his feet.

Being kicked in the stomach by anyone, let alone a kung-fu wizard like her, is something you never get used to. It had been a few dozen decades since the last time Seiga had gotten a foot planted square in the belly, and for her it was just as fresh as ever. Even worse, it had been even longer since the last time she had been thrown into a brick wall. She wasn't able to see where Yoshika and her payload had landed, but she assumed it was "anywhere but where they should've."

Shaking her head as she got up from the ground, she looked forward and saw that her target had just avoided collision with some kind of...Medusa, or Naga, or something? It had been so long since she had even heard them mentioned as anything but fiction that the definition eluded her. Despite the sudden realization that another non-mundane being just happened to pop out of nowhere, Seiga realized the need to cover for what had just happened. She pulled out a classic technique that had worked many a time before.

With not a second to spare, she screamed, "Get away from her!" Pointing at Sophie and clutching her side, she continued, "She just tried to kill us! She's a psychopath! Get away!" Yoshika dazedly looked up from her side of the street, having similarly landed against a vertical surface, and was quick to notice her master's outburst. As the zombie which had landed on her lap started to groan and feebly try and claw at her, she brought down her elbow on its skull and removed its brain as inconspicuously as possible. She then clutched at her shoulder, and though her performance wasn't as convincing, she added, "Oh, god, I think she just broke something! Help me!"

Sky Above the Streets - return of the crying

Sans couldn't help but feel a little bad for making Caro cry again, even if he couldn't quite see it. Clearly everything he said hurt her quite badly, it was a very depressing tale after all. Maybe after this they should take a break, if only so Caro could recompose herself.

"maybe it's the fact that in your case it was just an attempt, in mine, they actually succeeded even if it was in a smaller scale," Sans shrugged, trying to keep himself composed

He then began looking for more trouble and in the corner of his eyesockets he spotted something, it looked like two teenage boys and a teenage girl trying to fend off the same shadow creatures from before. The girl was equipped with a steel pipe while one of the boys was equipped with a pistol and the other with... a stick.

"hey caro, i found some people. let's try the same combo again," he said, pointing at the group he spotted.

"It is you making assumptions madam" Lieutenant Wells said to Juri, turning her way with a dull glare. "I know you are not one of my soldiers, and I don't take issue with whether you'll help or not. What I do take issue with is you both not helping and running your mouth. Most folk are polite enough to only do one or the other" the soldier went on, and seemed like he was going to say more when suddenly some new woman dashed into the library. He quickly drew his gun and aimed at her, as did many of the other militia members.

"Who are you?" Lieutenant Wells asked of Ara in a neutral tone.

The fight, if you could call it that, between the new arrivals

The snake woman needed only move back slightly as Sophie promptly and succinctly dealt with everything that might've gone crashing into her. Some other figures came into view around the same corner she'd arrived, all of them non-humans; prominently there was a two headed ogre, along with some elves. After Seiga's victim act, the woman's eyebrows lowered.

"What is going on here?" Silanea asked, green energy starting to swirl around her arms as she held them slightly out at her sides, combat ready. A couple of the people in the group had firearms, which they also brought up and ready.

Karkat - Finally Getting 'round to it

It took Karkat quite a while to find the library again. The fact that the city never wanted to stay the same after every two seconds didn't help him. Man, why did he have to be the one that got stuck here? Dave probably would've done a much better job than he is. Terezi, Kanaya, even Gamzee would—actually, scratch that, he probably would've killed everybody. Multiple times.

As Karkat walked, he noticed a legless zombie following him, but it wasn't moving very fast, and he didn't have the energy to kill it. He just kept on walking, and eventually he found the library. Finally. As he got closer though, he noticed that it was in shambles. The windows were broken, and the only thing blocking them were some (poorly placed) bookshelves. Dust covered every inch of the place. All of that was probably due to today's conditions. Damn. He went over to the front door and knocked on the wall. UHH...MIND IF I COME IN? ALSO, THERE'S A ZOMBIE THAT'S BEEN FOLLOWING ME AROUND FOR A LONG ASS TIME, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME KILL IT? MY HANDS ARE KINDA FULL WITH ALL THE SHIT THAT ACTUALLY KEEPS ME ALIVE, SO...

Sky above the streets - Rescue

Sans had spotted a group of survivors, apparently being attacked by the same shadowy creatures from before. At least there she could make herself useful, unlike just now with Sans, where she felt she just couldn't help at all ...

The adreline rush caused by the sight of the situation ocorring with those people allowed her to compose and steel herself, at least for the time being, for the upcoming battle.

"Alright, let's do this!" she began to cast her spell again, with the Summoning Square once again appearing both under them and on the ground below the creatures.
