"You, uh, y-you don't get out much, huh?" said Morty conversationally, pulling his shirt up around his head in an attempt to shield himself from the tropical downpour. "This is, it's rain. It's gotta, gotta be a lot colder before you get snow." At that point, a scrap of wet paper fell on Morty's head; Morty winced and chucked the paper off the balcony and into the jungle below. Something with too many legs scuttled past and ground it into the dirt.

"And, uh, where I'm from it's not supposed to rain paper. But y-yeah, snow is, snow is nice. You can, uh, make snowmen and throw snowballs and... stuff."

"Oh yeah, snow sounds fun now in the middle of this hell jungle" muttered Rick, "But oh, just you wait until this jackass shoves us under a glacier for fun or something. We're probably gonna have to eat one another to stay warm."

"That's terrible, Rick! We're, we're going to get through this fine, okay?"

Alice had spent her night awake in the library, reading books in solitude for the most part, but as time passed she saw the world around her begin to blurr just like it happened when she got transported into the city. Did that mean that she was being brought back? No, it couldn't be that easy. Instead, she soon found herself in a library made of wood. She left her books, except for her Grimoire, on the table she was sitting on and headed downstairs where she met everyone else.

She said nothing as she looked at the jungle that the outside was now, plus, it was raining and she had no umbrella. Worse yet is that the librarian wasn't there anymore, so she couldn't even ask her for an umbrella if she wanted to leave.

She sighed "I knew I should've gone looking for materials yesterday..."

Ben looked out, somewhat frightened, at all the dense forest that surrounded the now-wooden library. He began to think for a moment— there were others who didn't sleep in the library, what if they were in danger? He frowned, getting ready to go Hero in order to search for them, but that idea was stopped, at least for the moment, when he heard Rick and Morty speak up. He blinked, then turned towards them. "Rick, Morty, good to see you're here. I think some of the others are still lost in that huge jungle. I'm gonna go Stinkfly and see if I can't rescue some of them," Ben explained.

However, before he could slam his hand onto the display, he faintly heard a strange sound that sounded like a cross between an insect buzzing and the propeller of a helicopter from one of the doors outside. The sound grew louder, coming closer to the door that Ben was standing in front of. At once, a robotic-looking dragonfly creature erupted from below the wooden bridge that stood over the chasm, and Ben shouted in surprise. Luckily, it flew right past the door, moving away as quickly as it appeared.

The Previous Day

Josuke had gratefully accepted the tea from one of Alice's dolls(...OF all things, that was shockingly the least bizarre to him by this point.), and immediately started drinking it down, even if it was already too hot. If anything, it seemed as if he was trying to burn his tongue.

"Ugghh....Great tea." He said, with an emphasis on 'Great'. "Now I don't have the taste of spider on my mouth..."

With that accomplished, the Stand User stuck around, listening in on Legion and Alice's conversation. Since he just seemed to plop down in the middle of it, he didn't really understand much of it, only learning a bit about Legion's background. He did, however, hear Alice mention finding a book about her home in the library...

...That made him think, a bit.

...But maybe he should wait until tomorrow for it. It was starting to get dark, and he was starting to get sleepy...

==> To Be Continued

Josuke, Library in the Jungle

The pompadoured teen awoke in the lobby of the library, seemingly put down there in his sleep. It seemed that a number of the others had as well. The teen wasn't all that shocked to see that they were still here; as cruddy as it was, this all seemed too real to just satisfactorily end as a crazy dream. He sighed and started to pad his hair, simply to make sure it was in place. He would have styled it more but...looking around, he figured he probably wouldn't find a mirror sometime soon.

The library seemed to now be completely wooden, with vines encircling windows and openings. It also felt a lot more humid, the temperature and the rain pattering outside probably having something to do with that. All of this was truly bizarre to Josuke, having never dealt with a shape-shifting world before.

Seeing the old man and grandson duo already up and running, as well as a number of others joining them outside, Josuke approached.

"Oy! Wait up!" He called out, joining them.

"Good...morning..." It was momentarily after he went outside that he realized how the rain would affect his hairdo, the neatly done pompadour now sloppily [[ drenched across his forehead.

"Shit! I already hate this place..." He glowered, trying ineffectually to keep his hair up. Then a piece of wet paper fell directly on to his face.

After spending a few minutes looking at the outside jungle, Alice just sighed once more before proceeding to open the door to the outside and calmly walk off on her own. She then summoned her dolls, who all pulled what seemed to be a small shield and got above her with their shields pulled up as some sort of improvised umbrella.

Agarth during his search had found O'Neill's Pub and Restaurant. He looked at the sign and found the word pub.

"A tavern, maybe i can find someone in there i can ask, and see if they know why..." Agarth preceded to stop and look at one of the plants, which had a eye on it."...There are plants with eyes. I must have either accidentally had a drink, or I have finally gone crazy, and hopefully this is all a dream." Agarth then entered the pub.

"Paper...?"

Mary looked at the falling white stuff carefully. It was, indeed, not snow, but wet paper.

"Awww, too bad," the girl stated in disappointment. "I really wanted to see snow. I read you can do lots of fun things with it."

She looked outside once more, and began thinking. She wouldn't be able to make snowballs with paper, but maybe she'd be able to do something with all that rain and plants and paper... but first she had to go outside.

"Let's explore!" Mary exclaimed, already starting to head outside. However, right before stepping out, she stopped. "Wait, my things!"

With that said, she turned around and rushed back to the desk she'd been drawing on, where she began to stuff her sketchbook and crayons back in her color-changing purse. In only a matter of minutes, everything was inside the bag, so she quickly closed it and returned with the group.

"There we go! So are we going to explore? I think we should explore. It'll be fun!"

When he entered, Agarth would see Plague Knight toiling away above a metal mixing bowl with various cooking tools and utensils along with various chemicals. The Knight looked up when the warrior entered.

"Ah, perfect timing!" Plague Knight approaching Agarth. "You look like a big, strong warrior! I need help in procuring some equipment!" He then guided Agarth over to the back of the bar. "I need you to rip that out of the bar so I may use it for later." He pointed over to the drink dispensing machine fastened into the counter with a hydraulic dispensing hose.

Ben crossed his arms. "I dunno about you guys, but I need to go out there and see if there's anyone else in danger. That jungle's way too big and there looks like there's huge bugs out there too. Speaking of huge bugs..." He readied his Omnitrix, starting to turn the dial and pressing hard onto the face of the watch. Another bright green flash, and Stinkfly stood there again, his wings readying. "Stinkfly!" he shouted, lifting up into the air. "I'm a hero, and I know how to fight. Besides, I can just fly over the jungle! Well, off I go!" Stinkfly exclaimed, and he flew out, buzzing above the dense jungle.

Morty screamed and dove to the floor as the gigantic biomechanical insect swooped low over is head. Hesitantly, he picked himself off of the floor as the huge orange thing receded into the thick foliage. By all accounts, it didn't seem to acknowledge the existence of any of the humans.

"Oh man, that's a-*urp*-a bIIIIIG one," Rick observed as he leaned against the wall. "You, uh, you probably got the right idea there. I'd probably, uh, stay off the ground too," he continued as the preteen transformed and prepared to lift off. "If w-w-we're getting bugs the size of SU Vs in the air, you can bet that the forest floor, it's -oh man- it's g-g-gonna look like the worst B-movie you can imagine, Ben." Rick mulled this over for a second than took a swig of alcohol.

"Don't know how good your vision is in that shape, but, uh, watch out for giant spiders or spider equivalents. If you see drops of moisture *urp* h-h-hanging in the air, that's your tIIIICket to death-by-sp-spider-town, population you. Don't, uh, don't try and pollinate any unfamiliar plants if, uh, Stinkfly does that thing. You *urp* never know what kind of weird stuff you'll pick up in these multiversal mishmash jungles. Also some of these plants, yeah, they're crawl- they're moving around. They'll probably bite back." Rick's bloodshot eyes twitched as he spoke, although it sounded like he was describing all of this from memory. "Just, uh, just be careful where you land... and don't breathe in any spores too deeply. Just, uh, just putting that out there too. Life experience."

"Aw jeez, Rick. H-h-he'll be fine, won't he? I mean... he can turn into... an a-a-lien, he can turn into a whole bunch of, uh, aliens. Good luck!" he shouted to Stinkfly's receding form. "Just, uh, just be careful!"

It was at that point that Mary, Josuke, and Legion reappeared. Most of them seemed intent on exploring the newly-rearranged city. "Yeah!" said Morty, gesturing to Rick as Mary spoke. "I mean, couldn't we, you know, go exploring?"

"Okay, yeah, sure," said Rick as he chugged back another shot, belching leisurely. "Let's, uh, let's go exploring. W-w-w-we can find, some some specimens for my lab! We can go, we can go find a nest of bugs, and we'll, we'll dissect 'em, and I can make st-stuff outta their DNA."

"Hey, wait. This, uh, this sounds like one of your adventures, doesn't it?!" Morty winced at the thought and pointed an accusing finger at his grandfather. "Promise me, you know, promise me th-that nobody's gonna die, okay?"

"Y-y-yeah, pe-peop-*urp* people are probably gonna die. You ever seen a nest of angry space bugs, Morty? I'm gonna be blunt with you guys; they're not- they're not gonna be rolling out that welcome wagon for us. And, you know, if we run into some queen bug? Man, you try having 837 *urp* kids every day and trying to keep your temper."

"Aw man, Rick. I mean... this is... I dunno..."

"Just being honest with you. I mean, what, you want me to tell you everything's sun-sunshine *urp* and rainbows? We're stuck here, we've got no way to escape, we might as well make the best of-of things. Tin man, little girl, Josuke," said Rick, pointing to all three of them in turn, "...let's go on an AAAAAAAdventure."

Not wanting to run off by herself, Undyne hesitantly decided she might as well stay at the Library. Beds were important, but friends were more important.

So she tried to make a pillow out of books. It wasn't particularly comfortable. Growling to herself, Undyne stood up. Screw it, she decided, I'll just keep watch. Sleep is for the weak.

This seemed like a good idea for about ten minutes, after which her eyes began to droop. Fortunately Miss Tairee conjured up some sleeping bags. She grabbed one, dragging it right next to Ashe. Before she went to sleep, Undyne stripped out of her armor, dropping the pieces on the floor with in a pile. She doubted anyone would steal it; it was fitted specifically for her body, so she doubted they could use it anyway. She laid down, throwing one arm over Ashe's sleeping form.

"Night, cutie." She whispered, smiling to herself.

Undyne awoke with a yawn, stretching. "Mornin' already?" She looked to see Ben was already up and transforming, turning into that fly monster to try and locate some of the others. Rubbing the sleep from her eye, Undyne strode out of the Library and into the middle of the jungle.

She blinked (winked? It was hard to tell without another eye there) as she registered that.

Well shit. Not going into that mess alone. Or in that clunky armor. She muttered. Though I am liking this weather...

She smiled, stretching her arms some more, enjoying the feeling of rain on her skin. While she waited for Ashe to wake up, she began doing push-ups, one hand planted on the ground and the other behind her back.

"From the looks of it, it is a futuristic beverage dispenser," Plague Knight explained. "Uses a combination of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to siphon drinkable liquid from the tank here, into the hose, and out this mechanism with the various button as the triggers. I wish to convert this device as a portable weapon that would allow us to traverse through this now forest realm with ease! I was in the middle of concocting a special plant pesticide that would allow to instantly kill any plant lifeform upon contact! As soon as I make enough to fill up this tank, we shall head out!"

"Acknowledged," agreed Legion. "I will draw a weapon for the safety of us all."

The firearm Legion drew was rather organically shaped, a far cry from the utilarian, boxy aesthetic of the Widow. The geth pulse rifle was far better at close-quarters combat than the Widow - something that Legion deemed was far more likely than extended-range battle.

Rex had gone to sleep a few hours after talking with Miss Tairee. Had she given him one of the books or not? He couldn't remember and he didn't care either. They had already dealt with the guy and more information about his world would probably be useless given the number of universes they had pulled people from.

Rex didn't even hear Viktor yelling but a mosquito flying near his face woke him up.

"Uh, what's the matter guys? Don't speak so loudly. It's like, wait... What time is it?"

He noticed that he had been transported to a sleeping bag while he was asleep and a creaking noise was heard as soon as Rex tried to stand up. The library was now made of wood and more importantly, there were vines and leaves taking over the building. He then put on his jacket and ran to where the rest of the group was. Ben had already turned into Stinkfly while Legion advised the rest not to explore the jungle. He had to give it to the robot, that was the most logical course of action.

" Please tell me you guys already figured out what's causing this and how we can fix it."

Everyone was discussing some kind of beverage dispenser while Undyne trained and Rick decided to experiment on the new local wildlife.

" I'm going to assume the answer's 'No'."

Danny looked away from the window of the library to see the others awake. Josuke was up, the robot dude probably never went to sleep, Undyne seemed to be doing some morning pushups or something, Ben was already outside, and Plague Knight was off doing something. Probably. Maybe they're doing something else in the jungle outside? The girl that was with Alice now seemed to be talking to some kid that Danny was sure was with their group before. Wasn't he with that drunk pharmacist? Speaking of the drunk pharmascist, he started calling out something about adventure. While it was tempting, Rex and Ashe had yet to awake, and Danny seemed to be on decent terms with them and Undyne, so he decided to stick around the library for now. Besides, it was a jungle out there...

Then, as if on cue, he heard Rex speak up.

"And you would be correct."

Angua stirred in her sleeping bag and opened her eyes. Huh? All she could see was paper with words on. When she noticed that one of the words was "laser", the events of the previous day came back to her, and she took the book Morty had lent her off of her face and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She groaned and muttered "Great. Just when I thought this damned city couldn't get any worse, this happens." Inwardly, though, she was a lot more freaked out. The entire bloody city turned into a jungle! With wood buildings and vines and insects the size of the bloody Tower of Art and everything! What, are we in Howondaland now? She went downstairs and walked over to Rick, Morty, Legion, and the rest. "Any idea where the others have gone off to?" She frowned slightly and looked down at Mary. "Well hello. I don't think I've seen you around here. What's your name?"

Viktor looked more closely at the jungle, it seemed most of the plant were the carnivorous type, and he was certain the wildlife outside would be extremely aggressive too, it would be a wise idea not to enter there.

"Hrmph. This trick the strange being did to us will set-back my laboratory creation for a while.." Viktor said to himself before he walked to where Rick, Legion, Morty and the others were.

"I shall follow you if you plan to leave, besides, staying here will not help our situation in any way"

Viktor said, before looking at Mary's over-eagerness to explore before shaking his head in annoyance and frustration.

Such naivety and happiness, it will be her end eventually...just like it was for me Viktor thought to himself before speaking to the Girl with the purse.

"Child, Understand that whatever will be outside will not be in any way friendly and can and WILL try to end your life. In no way shall this be or will ever be "Fun", So for your sake, if you truly wish to come with us, stay behind us and do NOT try to wander off unless you have someone to follow you, lets your foolish happiness will be your end"

Viktor said to Mary, rather blunt to the point.

"Yaaay! Adventure! Adventure!"

Mary wasn't really sure what the whole adventure would even be about, but who cared either way. An adventure was an adventure. They'd walk around, see lots of cool things, and probably have lots and lots of-ohh new person!

"Hi! I'm Mary!" the girl replied to Angua, clearly thrilled of meeting someone new. "What is your name?"

Then some other person came to talk. He was nowhere as fun as the other people were, talking about how dangerous being outside was and how she should stay near the others at all times.

"Of course I won't wander off by myself!" the girl stated, rather offended. "What's the point in going outside if I'm just going to be alone again? No, I 'm not having any more of that. I'm not gonna go through it again."

At that point Mary pretty much just started grumbling things to herself in a very low voice, grasping the straps of her purse tightly. However, her upset state only remained for a few seconds before she suddenly spoke up again, with little to no trace of anger left in her voice.

"Hey, where are we going first?, by the way?"

Yesterday, all of Gon's problems seem so far away

Gon decided to search for a suitable area to stay for the night. He hit a good place when he searched a seemingly high-end serviced apartment with no one inside.

The assassin at a whim decided to hit a random floor. For this case, it's the 7th floor since Koreans deem it to be good luck.

He went to the elevator to head to his destination, picking out a room that wasn't locked. He didn't have time to hit the showers, so he took off his boots and lied down in the sofa.

But now they're here to stay

When Gon got up, he went to take a look outside.

What the hell?

He noticed that the buildings in the area were now made of wood.

Can this day get any worse?

Thick plant growth was sighted from the closed window.

I need to gear up.

He looked at his sidearms and they appear to be okay.

I don't these a couple of pistols will help me survive.

Inside the library

The sky and 'sun'light outside were still morning orange, despite there being no sun to normally create such an effect through the atmosphere; heck, at this point who was to even say what sort of atmosphere this place had beyond the edges of the city. The 'cloud' that was above the library dropping rain and paper on it drifted on, leaving the building and wooden walkway to dry with papers plastered around haphazardly.

With the buildings all changed into the style of tree houses, it was hard to guess what building was supposed to be what at a distance; there were a few that were easier to figure like the large apartment or office buildings, but the rest was anyone's guess.

Those out on the walkway that went around the edge of the library could see partially into one of the crevices below the jungle plants, where some sort of giant spider/crab thing the size of a large tank was slowly crawling up the edge to inspect the plants curiously. It looked like maybe it was just as confused about this situation as they were? It was a giant spider/crab thing, so it didn't exactly have a face that had emotions they could read. After getting up to the edge of the crevice, it started poking at the plants with four large claws, as if just seeing what they were and what they did. With a loud groaning of wood, a large tree maybe thirty feet away from the creature shifted its trunk around and then promptly slammed its upper half into the creature, crushing down some of its front legs and about half of its body with an extremely loud crunching. Large vines suddenly roped down from the leafs of the tree and started wrapping around what was left of it, the creature helplessly flailing its remaining limbs in an attempt to get away as the tree started to rise back into its normal position. From the brush nearby a few large, thorn covered vines shot out and grabbed at the creature's limbs on the other side, and started pulling the other way. With the sound of more crunching and some flesh tearing, the limbs came off and were pulled into the brush as the rest of the creature was slowly pulled up into the tree. Other large bugs that had started to follow the spider/crab hesitantly promptly fled back down into the crevice and into their hiding holes.

Not a minute later, and there was now no visible sign of the creature anymore other than some spots of orange blood on a few of the plants near the crevice.

Behind the group, with no more fanfare than the usual quick blur, Miss Tairee appeared back at her desk. After looking around and seeing that most of the group had left their sleeping bags, she started typing away on her machine. A few moments later and the sleeping bags that had been left empty disappeared in another blur.

Out in the city

Flying around above the city, Ben could see groups of people here and there walking about on the walkways; they looked pretty lost, confused, and some concerned, but it didn't look like any were in immediate trouble that Ben could see.

There was however a buzzing sound coming from behind Ben, and looking back he could see a large, strangely shaped wasp with some spikes on its abdomen chasing after him with an aggressive intent based on the way it was thrusting its stinger in his general direction. While trying to catch up with Ben, it flew just over the top of one of the large plants; its pursuit was then halted when said plant chomped a massive mouth onto the wasp, swallowing it whole instantly.

It seemed that the plants were not to be trifled with, and even flying around Ben would have to be wary of them. Below him one of the large vines covered in thorns shot upwards and took a swipe at Ben, missing just under his legs.

Alice was just going on her merry way when she heard the sound of the tree moving and then looked at the gruesome scene of it slowly and painfully taking a creature's life. Alice couldn't look at it for too long before forcing herself to look away and wincing at every crunching sound and the flesh being tore away. Even after it stopped, the puppeteer was still in place, shaking a little bit and looking completely nauseated.

"... Stay away from the plants, that's the rule here." she said to herself, letting out a sickened groan then looking at the sky "... Better take the high route in this case."

She then shot up and began flying, her dolls still covering her head from the rain as they followed right above her. Once she was high enough, she began glancing around searching for any sort of shop where she could get doll materials.
