Here now, fully recapped. I gave one of my coworkers a ride somewhere and then home, but I'm not feeling that tired so I didn't rest in bed as long as I normally do. I'll try to start working on a post soon, but I'm not quite sure what I want to post yet, and it might take me a while to type up once I do; in the meantime I'm going to check up on a few things.

Just a heads up, I won't be here for a bit while I catch up on some marching band stuff. If things go well I'll be able to return by this Saturday, but if not then maybe by next weekend.

Oh yeah I forgot I was going to mention in my last post, speaking of the end of this in-game day: My current thought is that I'd like to do the transition sometime this weekend/early next week, depending on how much longer it takes to wrap up the cinema scene.

My connected flight home got delayed, so I'm gonna be a bit getting back until a bit later tomorrow, afternoon to evening. After that things should get back to normal for me.

On the bright side, the airport at our connecting location compensated us with free hotel rooms and I'm back in my native time zone.

Well, I've gotta get going for tonight. I actually meant to be gone a good while ago but I got caught up messing with a game and didn't realize how much time was passing.

Anyway, tomorrow my shift is scheduled to end an hour earlier than today's shift did, and I know that the coworker I sometimes give rides to is off tomorrow so I should be able to come straight home.

And with that last post, the movie is done and the characters free to do what they want. Man, that was a lot of words. I apologize for the monster posts you had to trawl through. I probably won't be doing something like that again, anytime soon.

I'm also realising I missed a chance by bringing Baby Tooth into the city with Jack. It could have been fun. Oh well.

Here now, fully recapped. Not that tired but was feeling rather exhausted so I rested for longer than I did yesterday. Anyway, I'm gonna start working on a post in the near future but it might take me a while to type up; just going to check on some things first.

I'm back and I'm back early. Thankfully, I don't have to catch up on much because I managed to keep up with this on our school's computer.

I'm also a bit surprised about the activity—or rather, lack of—on the discussion thread.

@Alleydodger: I actually really liked those posts and read them carefully, even when they were long.

Got a little caught up hanging out with a couple of my friends that I haven't been able to in a while.

Posting on phone before work. Forgot to say last night, I don't actually know if Grimlock trying to call the phone would work. It certainly seems like it should be possible, but I don't know how difficult or what kind of knowledge it takes on the part of Transformer.

I think Locoman could actually answer the question better; he seems to know a lot about Transformers.

From what I know of the fiction^* I really more collect the toys , tapping into communication devices is more the forte of specialized characters, like Soundwave and Laserbeak. Regular Cybertronians do have standard communication capabilities with each other, though I've rarely seen them use it to directly contact human comm devices. It may take outside assistance (from medics like Ratchet, or a tech whiz like Wheeljack) to allow a Cybertronian to 'call' a cellphone properly - especially in the current fiction (which our Grimlock hails from) where Cybertronians' bodies are much more 'organic' in function than purely mechanical.

To use a comparison from the Prime series: a Cybertronian's transformation cog (the biomechanism that allows them to, well, transform) is as near-impossible to properly replicate as a human's liver. Similarly, a Cybertronian might need the assistance of a tech specialist to add cellphone-capable communication to themselves like a human would need a doctor to give them an appropriate hearing aid.

Yeah, this is a thing that's happened several times in the Aligned-verse - not with Grimlock, per se, but the ability to tap into human phone networks using their communications systems is treated as a built-in thing across multiple Transformer characters.

At the very least, Bumblebee does it a few times in the RID series, so...

So would we assume that PRiD Grimlock would have that ability too? If not, maybe we can handwave it so that he got it added to be able to talk to Denny and Russel more easily.

Welp, I just got back from seeing Suicide Squad! It was...okay, I guess??

I've been working on making a video game lately. So far, the player character goes flying everytime he hits a wall

@Syrika: I have no idea if I'll see the movie but I was surprised when I heard that Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody was apparently used in one of their trailers. bit of a queen fan here though i still need to listen to all of their songs

@Grimlock contacting cellphones: Personally, I didn't think it'd connect but Grimlock would've tried to know if he could. But, since it seems that there is possibility he could, whether by handwave or not, I'm fine with it too. and it makes things easier too I do think he could connect with the walkie-talkies though since Strongarm was apparently able to listen in to radio stations.

Except Silver Surfer doesn't go flying, he just falls down dead if he stubs his toe
