That interface looks like something out of 2012. Apropos, can someone change page types there?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe option to do that is still there within the older interface. Therefore, it's theoretically possible to do so with this "exploit". Me not being mean-spirited, I haven't tested it out, so I don't know if it would still work.
Yep, it allows changing page types
Will people making use of this exploit be severly punished and thrown into the depths of the Darth Wiki or something ? Becaus wow, that is tempting.

No. "Being able to see the old version of the site" is not a violation of anything.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI meant using it to change page types.
That is an irritating bug, not a feature. I am OK with it.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've discovered that trying to save a page edit while on really laggy internet caused by having a lot of users (i.e. college internet) will take you to the old layout once the edit goes through.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Discovered an undocumented feature related to this bug entirely by accident: If you change the URL so that it says "pmwiki_old.php" instead of "pmwiki.php", it'll show what the page would look like under the 2012-era website interface. Curiouser and curiouser...
Example: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki_old.php/Main/WikiSandbox
Same thing happens when you add "?action=history" to the Home Page's URL.
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HomePage?action=history
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!Same bug as in the first post. The actual URL for page histories would be something like https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/article_history.php?article=Main.WikiSandbox , with "Main.Wiki Sandbox" being the page in question.

I think this is somewhat related: I was trying to add an image to Hostile Terraforming as a result of an IP thread. I clicked on save, but it took me to the Hostile Terraforming page on the pre-revamp site. I refreshed, which loaded up the right page. Of course the Data Vampires had eaten my edit.
I tried to edit the page a second time, and it decided to behave itself, so I don't know what was going on there.
(Annoyed grunt)Not a bug, so closing.

On an existing page, add ?action=blah like so: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Franchise/RatchetAndClank?action=blah . You can have something other than "blah" as long as it doesn't correspond to a valid "action" like "edit" or "source". (It's also case sensitive, meaning "Edit" and "Source" is considered separate from "edit" and "source", respectively, as seen here: [1] [2])
In case you're wondering, the title of this page is supposed to be sarcasm. After all, I doubt there's any practical reason to use the old interface only accessible due to an oversight (other than to change page types), and besides, I think it would revert back to the newer interface if one were to click on the links within the page.
