I assume he was talking about the old EU.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.x3 - The Republic Commando series that Travis wrote IIRC was a big offender.
I was indeed. No matter what she wrote Star Wars related it was always Mandalorians: Good! Republic: BAD! Jedi: Worse!
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw., Not to be that guy, but he did say the new continuity, which has so far been a nice balance of "Mandalorians are cool warriors" and "Mandalorians are self-destructive warmongers."
I'm wondering how much of the Mandalorians we'll actually see and how much of it will be this one Mandalorian going on adventures himself?
Also I'd love to see Sabine or Bo-Katan pop up here.
Legends the cover story for the Death Star was them trying to carve up dead planets for materials, which sounds like a better use for the superlaser. Canon-wise is there a cover-up story for what's essentially a terrorist Manhattan Project?
Was the the story they told the galaxy, or the story they told the chief designer? I recall it being the latter.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI thought the (Legends) chief designer was a Mad Scientist that Palpatine literally, actually, no-seriously-its-canon fed to space-piranhas after the plans were complete?

You are correct. Galen Erso is a saint in comparison to Bevel Lemelisk, although Bevel had to endure being revived and killed by Palpatine over and over for the Death Star’s destruction as punishment. He evidently died so many times that he told his New Republic firing squad to make sure and check that he’s actually dead before they killed him.
At least Galen only needed to die once.
Power of Thor!So we think.
Turns out the ghost of Galen Erso was actively haunting the Death Star 2, ultimately rendering them unable to close that big honking hole in the side in time for the Rebel attack.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.@ Parable: More the story they told the galaxy at large on where so many of the resources were going to so nobody tries to stop the Death Star's construction
In retrospect, the idea of the Mandalorian being “Kung Fu, but Star Wars” could actually do a lot to fill in the little things about Mandalorian culture and how the public treats them, even more so than Sabine did. It’s not about “Mandalorians rule, Jedi drool!”, as much as it’s about experiences shaping people.
You think he was asked to grab the pebble?
In sad news, Ray Park announced he was renouncing his honorary status with the 501st Legion as a result of some bad experience. Notably, Daniel Logan backed him up on this sentiment by stating he had some issues with the group and a lot of people coming to their defense are members themselves.
Power of Thor!Goddammit, can we have one part of fandom that isn't toxic?
Geez, wonder what they did to have two actors denounce them?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."From what I can gather, Park never said the specifics of what happened, but a lot of people have reported that a member harassed him over his appearance in Solo. A lot of members have come out to support the two and have noted there has been an increasingly toxic element of the group, a large part of it having to do with members who are extremely obsessive over screen accuracy to the point of pestering people for not getting names or small details right. This all really saddens me given this supposed to be a charity group and both Park and Logan have always been very laid back and thankful guys.
Power of Thor!Well I guess it's good to know it's just one faction, rather than the whole group, but that's probably damning by faint praise.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Sometimes this fandom makes me sick.
Its every fandom that goes on the downswing.
Even so the last time I saw a fandom lose its mind to anywhere near this degree was when the canon couples in Naruto were revealed.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Same thing happened at the end of Bleach.
There’s also the Voltron fandom which has a really insane section.
As well as the Sichuan sauce people.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Bleach was way tamer than Naruto though.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Well Bleach did have the benefit of a having dwindling fandom.
Less people to go crazy.
Star Wars problem is that it’s too big meaning proportionally there’s more psychopaths in it.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
x6 When has the new continuity done that? The only stories that prominently featured the Mandalorians were on The Clone Wars and Rebels. I never got the sense they portrayed the Mandalorians as inherently better.
