Good News; All of the Build Features are unlocked from the start, no more day-by-day nonsense!
Bad News; You cannot transfer levels from the previous "Super Mario Maker"s for Wii U nor 3DS.
That's too bad. Porting older levels would allow you to remake them more easily with new features. But maybe they were worried about bugs being brought over.
That's more understandable. They may not want old code clashing with new.

The Night version of the music sticks out like a sore thumb on non-U/3D World levels. I hope they patch in the ability to use whatever music you want, assuming that's not in there already.
It is rather amusing that it'll use that serene, gentle nighttime music for the stages that have more difficult gimmicks.
So its 2019 and Nintendo is still doing Local Multiplayer Only with friends? Wtf....

Well, they did change the dumb "one unlock per day" thing in the original game due to backlash, maybe there's hope they'll patch in the ability to play online with friends.
Also, good to confirm that SMB 3's "forest" theme is in fact pipe maze levels like World 7.
That being said, I'd like it if Super Mario Maker 3 added a proper pipe maze theme for all styles, with SMB 3 style then receiving a normal forest theme similar to World 4's aesthetic. I know it's a bit early to be thinking about that, but it'd be cool.
It really should, the original NSMB had a pipe maze looking level...
And it was ONLY used one time in the Vs. mode.

Holy crap, the themes for Gusty Garden Galaxy, Delfino Plaza, and the Super Mario 64 Slide are in!

It's for system era music.
Those themes being like that makes it very unlikely that they will be DLC theme for those games. Is there a Mario 2 one?
Oh shit, that puzzle of using a moving block to shove a Thwomp over was pretty cool. I can see those blocks being fun.
