Yeah. So far I'd say that this one and Qadira are my two favorite redesigns. Nuna's original design was cute, but kind of generic and without much personality so this is a major step up for me.
Also didn't know about that sizzle reel before. Really glad that Ren and Yan are confirmed, they were two of my favorites.
Remember that Vasco redesign that everyone hated for looking nothing like Vasco? Well, in the face of overwhelming feedback the devs decided that the fans were right and decided to make old Vasco his own (non-playable) character, with the new design now being a different character named Latigo.
It's nice to see a game company that listens to its fanbase like this.

Huh, that's pretty neat. Digging the decision to just make it another character too, rather than throw it to the trash.

Now that we're approaching the end of 2017 (and the start of 2018, of course), I find myself more and more excited about this game.
Don't know much about the development lately, but I do have a question: does Anja absorb the Incarnation while they're still, like, alive, or can she only do it if they're dead or dying or whatever. Any word on what's so different between them and any other person? Or is that all plot stuff we still don't know?
From thewebsite
If it was concerning souls/dead people, surely it woud be mentioned.
And this here from a forum that gathered info based on dev streams, enjoy.
Incarnations will have their own side quests, which will involve character growth. When inside the Inner Realm, characters might be able to view each other's past lives using Iddhi. Ajna will not be able to enter her inner realm in certain areas or situations.
Zebei, Razmi and Tungar are not the most important incarnations with regards to the story. They were chosen for the prototype so as to have a diverse group of silhouettes and they demonstrate different combat mechanics. They are also popular designs within Lab Zero. Dhar would be one of the more prominent story related incarnations.

Dhar as an incarnation interests me.
Like, he's clearly her enemy when they first meet.
I have a message from another time...Not only that, he killed her father. Gonna be tons of Teeth-Clenched Teamwork from that direction.

Warning huge info dump incoming. Don't open the folder if you don't want to be spoiled on mechanics or characters
Looked and it doesn't seem anyone has posted this yet but Lab Zero's updated the battle system and given us a peek into it.
You can read more about it here.
There's also a bit on why the Backer preview's taking so long.
But for those not willing click the folder for a rundown on all the changes made and shown since the Prototype:
First, here are the changes shown from their anime expo panel since no one seems to have posted that.
The vid is here This first third is about indivisible. I'm watching the vid again as i edit this so Changes will be posted in order as they come up or as i remember them (any relevent new info from later in the panel will be edited into the bullet point)
Anime Expo Changes:
- Ajna now has a slide....and when doing a slide from a boost you go right back into boost. Other moves (shown at various points) include: A dive kick, can cling to walls(she'll slide down though), an actual Dash (You can Dash attack enemies into battle), a Helm Breaker style ground pound that breaks floors (you have to earn this)
- All weapon platforming functions have been mapped to a move set (bow is it's own button for example) so no more weapon switching
- There are 2 super-bosses in the backer preview one is the revenge of the cat (one of them grants the ground slam)
- On Supers: Every characters super is different depending on iddhi level now. You don't spend all iddhi at once now. And you tap the super button 1-3 times for what lvl super you want (Eg Razmi's lvl 3 is a highly damaging fire column that goes up and comes down on top of the enemies (though if you did it after using her slow attack while still next to the enemy the column going up hits them as well)
- Just Defends are a thing now....performing one means minuscule damage and tons more iddhi..Also you can't die from the lowered chip damage when you pull a Just Defense off.
- Characters have specific gimmicks with their attacks (For example Dhar's Neutral(?) if you hold his button during each strike of his combo he brings earth pieces to do extra damage to the enemy)
- You can block outside of battle so it's harder for enemies to get a free hit if you see them coming. You also don't seem to get dragged into a battle if you block the attack. If you block at the last second you'll counter them (this will put you into a battle though)
- You can now block in battle with a character anytime without using meter (you can't block grabs but will be explained in the newer update you can escape em) Party block still costs meter though
- If a bunch of enemies are attacking at once they will come one at a time instead of all at once. (There was also talk of new indicators but those changed with the new update below)
- Battles have been sped up and your action pips refill faster than in the prototype
- It was an option in their debug menu but it looks like you might get 5 action pips in total
And here's the new update from a couple days ago:
Changes from the Above Video:
- Enemies now have an indicator show up with a line pointing to who their target is (though we do not see an indicator for full party attacks)
- The line's color is to show what type of attack is being used: Red-Standard, Yellow-Grab(you'll likely time the block button to escape grab), Black-Unblockable (Magic attacks among other things....There will be characters who can block these attacks)
- There's a bit of Slowdown when starting a fight to allow you to Mentally switch over to a battle mindset. There's also a hold at the end to to allow you to return to a platformer mindset though the vid doesn't show it.
- There is also a hit counter/Damage counter in the upper right corner.
Changes not shown:
- Juggling enemies will give double the iddhi
- Not Mechanic specific but the build will be localized
Ok that's me done. I'm really getting into this now. Can't wait for the preview build to come out.

Sorry for the double post but there's an update on the backer Preview (along with a animation showcase for NAGAAAAAAAA RIIIIIIDEEEEEEERRRRR!!!) here.
Basically it took them a while to get up to Sony and Microsoft's Certification standards and they plan to submit on the 17th. And if all things go well we should see it by next week.
Also if you have pledge via Backer kit they will be charging you on the 20th...Also if you haven't filled out your Backer kit survey yet please do so otherwise you will not be able to get the preview....

Naga's animations might be my favorite yet. He's so flashy!
And gee, releasing a hype-building preview the same week as Mario Odyssey sure is a bold move...

Sorry for the double post, but Kampan was just shown off on stream. For those keeping track, the confirmed playable Incarnations are:
1. Zebei
2. Razmi
3. Tungar
4. Dhar
5. Thorani
6. Latigo
7. Yan
8. Naga Rider
9. Phoebe
10. Baozhai
11. Nuna
12. Lanshi
13. Qadira
14. Leilani
15. Kampan
16. Sangmu
17. Ren
18. Ginseng and Honey
Given that the devs stated the final game will have 24 Incarnations for your party, that leaves six slots for Kushi, Narssus, Kaldi, Toko, George, Antoine, Zahra, Tenoch, Tatanka, Kogi, and Hassam to duel it out over.
Update on the Backer preview....it's ready
It'll be coming this monday november 13th at 12:01AM pacific time. A Post with details on how to claim it (along with some new Speedrun contests) will be posted around that time....
The Preview will only be one area known as Ashwat....and the 3 incarnations from the prototype will be returning and will be joined by 3 new ones: Dhar, Ginseng/Honey, Qadira
This is an improved version of the E3/Anime Expo demo so there might still be some changes i haven't documented from the post i made.
They made Tenoch into twins and showed Antoine's redesign.
According to Lab Zero's forum, that means all playable Incarnations are confirmed.
1. Zebei
2. Tungar
3. Razmi
4. Ginseng and Honey
5. Dhar
6. Thorani
7. Latigo
8. Kushi and Altun
9. Yan
10. Naga Rider
11. Phoebe
12. Baozhai
13. Antoine
14. Zahra
15. Hunoch (and possibly Xiboch)
16. Nuna
17. Lanshi
18. Qadira
19. Leilani
20. Kampan
21. Sangmu
22. Ren
23. Backer Incarnation #1
24. Backer Incarnation #2
25. Backer Incarnation #3
The devs have also hinted that Kogi is a non-playable Incarnation who runs the cooking mechanic in Ajna's inner world, so the characters in limbo are Toko, George (who was possibly combined with Antoine), Kaldi, Narssus, Hassam, and Tatanka.
I'm glad Kogi's still in the game. I'm really digging Antoine's redesign.
They released the backer kit yesterday. Nuna is new best character.
Okay, so the official playable Incarnation list has been confirmed. Does anyone have any opinions on what we should do with the now-deconfirmed Narssus, Kaldi, Toko, George, Tatanka, Hassam, and Kogi on the character page?
I know that Kogi is going to be an NPC involved in a cooking mechanic.
While that's been strongly hinted at, it's probably best to see how that'll work before we add it to the page.
Just split them from the playable Incarnations to their own folder/section, maybe call it Unused Incarnations or something. If some of them end up being used as non-playable NPCs instead, then place them with the rest of the game's notable NPCs (or create a section for non-playable Incarnations) when applicable and perhaps make a note in their descriptions that they were originally planned to be one of Anju's party members.
Anyone seen this yet?
Split the page as per your suggestions. We can update it once more info on their final fates is released.
THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER
They released Nuna's updated design. I like it.
