Enter The Arena As Your Avatar -- The Spinoff!

Killer Bat gets uppercutted, hitting the ground as he falls. However, Jishuki's exhaustion shows in the amount of damage Killer Bat takes, as he gets back up pretty quickly. With Killer Bat's stamina bound to Leesarix's, he would, of course, last much longer than Jishuki.

Grinning once more, he now tries to grab Jishuki by his neck, and if he's able to do so uninterrupted, he'll then attempt to run his enemy through with his sword.

Ninten pauses, looking shocked and horrified.

"W-we have to find a way in as quickly as possible!", he immediately says.

   "We know. We're trying to find a way in and we need you to help us, seeing as you used to be one of the few people who was ever able to enter Magicant at will."   

"O-of course I'll help! In any way I can!"

Pocky, while taken aback a little by Rin's sudden, angry answer, also appears confused.

"... 'no' as in 'no, I'm not trying to ignore you', or 'no' as in 'no, stop following me'?" , he asks, after which he glances at the incoming Nanza.

Leesarix's eyes turn slate blue, and time freezes for all but himself and Terlette. He points his sword at her.

   "Save him, and you will fall upon the blade. Strike me down, and he will die painfully."   

Terlette grits her teeth.

"... Fine."

As time resumes, Terlette suddenly appears in Killer Bat's path and knocks his sword away with her own, only to be immediately impaled by Leesarix's.

   "I can also help,"    says Shadow,    "though my contributions without at least one Chaos Emerald would be somewhat limited."   

   I will be in your debt forever if you can help us save Magicant.   

   "Hmph."    Shadow smirks.    "Then I guess I am on board."   

Rin raises her head and promptly grabs Nanza by the wrist quick as a flash, pulling her hand down. In that moment, however, Rin's eyes peek out from under the shadow, and they tell a whole medley of emotions. Sadness, fear, anger, doubt...

"Leave. Me. Alone. Both of you."

Nanza blinks in a confused manner and prepare to shout something until she sees Rin's eyes, which prompt her to try to engage the situation in a more reasonable manner. She notices the doll, but ignore him for now.

Hey, what's going on? She asks, narrowing her eyes in concern.

"You idiot!" Jishuki shouts at Terlette before coughing up blood. "I could have taken this creepy shadow dude down with me, and now we're both screwed!"

He tries to weave some handsigns, but at this point he's too tired to do so. "Now what? You gonna eat us, shadow man?"

Killer Bat, linked to Leesarix and not actually affected by time stopping, knows exactly what Leesarix's plan is. As such, he lets Terlette knock the blade out of his hand so that she can then get blindsided by Leesarix's attack.

He then looks back at Jishuki, a cruel grin spread across his face once more. He holds out his hand, yellow energy gathering in it. He's charging up a Hornet Pierce, intent on using it to finish Jishuki off for real this time. He doesn't fire it yet though.

"Thanks, Mr. Shadow!", Ninten says. Botar, meanwhile, glances at Shadow as he's talking.

"Chaos Emerald? There used to be a set of seven of those here. After an evil creature named Mephiles attempted to use them and got killed over his efforts, six of them were allegedly sent back. The seventh was never found, at least not to our knowledge."

"Do you think it's still out there somewhere?"

"If it is, we haven't seen a single sign of it, and Mephiles' demise was a few years ago now."

"Ah... so it's not reliable unless we get lucky enough to find it..."

Ninten then ponders deeply to himself, remembering what was told to him when he first drank that tea.

"I already have a way to get in... I just need to remember how..."

Pocky, too, is taken aback once again.

"... okay, you are not okay." , he says, stating the obvious.

Leesarix sneers.    "I vowed that she would die if you were spared..."   

His eyes suddenly widen, pupils dilate, and he spits up blood. He looks down and sees...

Terlette's sword, sticking through his own chest. The life fading from her eyes, she manages to call forth enough will to channel Hao magic through it, engulfing him in burning light.

"If I can't save you... I'll just end you."

   "GWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAGH"   

Terlette twists the blade - and collapses in a blinding flash, as Leesarix and Killer Bat are blown away by an explosion of light.

   "Mephiles... that son of a bitch stole my face."   

Giygas visibly raises an intrigued eyebrow in Shadow's direction.    A fascinating story, I'm sure.   

Shadow lifts one finger.    "Regardless, the set I know is probably not the same one - given I can state with absolute certainty that Doctors Eggman and Wily have all seven."   

"... I don't want to tell you," she says. She doesn't look or sound too sure of that statement.

"I just... need some time with my thoughts."

W-well look then. I'll give you a bit of alone time but from a distance, ok? If I see you doing too bad or something else, I'll be coming right for ya, alright? I mean, I get distance's important, but sometimes ya need friends, see?

She does take two steps backward and raise her hands, as if to show honesty.

"Stupid decision, really..." He says with a smirk before closing his eyes and accepting his fate... And then the explosion happens, sending him hurtling away. His confused scream is cut short when he collides with the ground, the sound of multiple bones breaking accompanying it.

Killer Bat's charged energy fizzles out when Leesarix gets impaled, looking shocked, as well as in pain.

He then, too, gets blasted off again.

Ninten looks confused.

"Who are Doctor Eggman and Doctor Wily?"

"The latter used to work with Sombra and gave him the Robot Masters. I don't know who the former is.", Botar says.

"Huh... do you think it'd be possible to steal at least one of them from the doctors?", Ninten asks, slightly glancing at the monitors as he considers something...

Pocky doesn't look to be very pleased at all.

"Well, I want to know." , he states. But then he also takes a few steps back.

"If I stay at a distance for a while too, will you tell me?"

Terlette gasps for breath as she reaches towards her belt with trembling hands.

Not a moment too soon, she manages to unhook a canteen and pour its contents, a high-potency healing potion, down her mouth - before flopping onto her back.

She looks over at Jishuki. "Hey... are you alive?"

   "Eggman is a fellow mad scientist specializing in robots. His grandfather was responsible for my creation, among other things."   

Shadow shakes his head at Ninten.    "I don't know what you're thinking, but it's highly unlikely. They're holed up in a pocket dimension. We could reach it, but traversal outside the Arena puts us at risk, and I wouldn't have the first clue where the Emeralds actually are. Though... I know someone who might."   

Rin's current abrasive demeanor cracks slightly. "Guys..."

She sighs. "Alright." Then she puts her headphones on and heads into a pub.

"...I think?" He replies in a strained voice. "I also think my... everything is broken."

He doesn't even attempt to move at this point, as it would be way too painful for him to try.

Nanza nods understandingly, and then put her hands behind her back before staying in the distance, watching Rin from afar/

"A second insane robotics scientist? I can see why he would team up with Doctor Wily. I should try to jail them if I get the chance.", Botar comments.

Ninten then looks slightly disappointed at Shadow saying it wouldn't work.

"Oh..."

   "Who is this someone?"   , Giegue then asks.

Pocky does follow her inside, though still remains at a distance, as promised.

Once inside, he looks around, still curious about his surroundings.

Hub Centralis

Smitty: "Whay can't we ever catch a break?"

Smitty runs out of an alley in Hub Centralis, looking back only for Van Zant to hit him and send him flying alongside him. When they both hit a wall, they leave a comically large explosion in their wake, The Arena respawning them somewhere else upon impact to spare the grisly details.

Out steps Segata Sanshiro, dusting his hands off after his "hard" work.

Segata: "SEGATAN... SHU!!!!"

Somehow harmless explosions go off behind him before he goes back in, pulling a large Sega Saturn out of the alley and putting it on his back.

Segata: "Clearly, a back alley isn't the best place to play Saturn undisturbed... I need to find a better spot."

Terlette groans. "If you can sit still a sec..."

She rolls over on all fours and shakes her potion canteen to feel how much is left in it. Then starts crawling over to Jishuki, painfully slowly. She's in good shape statistically, but also very tired and sore.

"Here." She tries to tip it into his mouth. It tastes like cough medicine, but just a drop will be enough to fix at least one bone.

Shadow closes his eyes and leans back.    "His name is Segata Sanshiro. It's... hard to explain who he is. But many people from across the multiverse know him, even if they've never met him. He calls himself a fierce warrior and an avid gamer."   

   You can't be serious.   

Shadow sticks out one finger after another as he counts.    "Goro Majima, Zenkichi Hasegawa, myself and Sonic, Schezo Wegey, Draco Centauros, Kenshiro. These are all people within the Arena from all sorts of worlds, some more powerful than others, and they all give their respects to Segata. He seems crazy, but I think he knows more about our worlds than we do."   

Rin sighs. "I just..."

She hesitates to continue.

She also enters but stop whistling. She does nods to Rin, but say nothing for now, and give her some space.

"Goro Majima?", Botar wonders aloud, surprised to learn this.

"That dude sounds pretty awesome!", Ninten says, smiling with childlike glee. Giegue actually appears a little surprised to see him this gleeful, considering that Ninten hadn't been all too relaxed until he came across Lucien again.

   "... and this Segata Sanshiro can be trusted?"   , Giegue eventually asks as he looks back at Shadow.

Pocky stops in his tracks, looking at her and, perhaps surprisingly, not making any sort of comment, giving her a chance to continue at her own rate as well.

He graciously accepts the medicine, and lets it do its thing. While it works its magic, he asks "So what was that all about? The whole fighting?"

He decides to close his eyes for a little bit and focus on gathering chakra while he waits.

"Ngh... That was Aeleris, my fiance." Terlette does a Sword Plant and struggles to her feet. "Until that thing lurking in his shadow possessed him, apparently. I was lucky enough to know he had been turned to darkness by a vision from a friend of mine, otherwise I might've blindly approached him and died. It was thanks to that vision that I knew to keep that potion on me as a failsafe."

Giygas glances at Botar. He limits telepathic communication to just the two of them and asks,    What significance does that name have?   

   "He's completely honest about his goals, morals... it's honestly really dumb, but if you can convince him you play the Sega Saturn game console, or are a character originating from a Sega game, he will trust you with his life and soul."   

"I feel like... like I'm not real." Rin stares into her hands. "My entire existence is a multifaceted lie, and..."

She looks at the others. "Would you even understand if I explained it?"

Yeah, I get what you mean, it's that... huh, silver-haired girl, right? She says, trying to be careful with her words and leaning forward.

After gathering enough chakra, he weakly moulds some signs to cause the chains to snake over to himself, going underneath his body and positioning it upwards. While he's grimacing in pain, he does seem to be doing somewhat better. "Do you have some sort of plan to seal that being away for good?"

Botar, like all Order of Mata Nui members, has mental protection against telepathy. However, that doesn't mean he can't be reached through telepathy at all, but rather that he can choose what those using telepathy can see and hear through it.

As such, Botar allows Giygas to hear his responding thought, but no more than that.

"Our prisoner, Ken Tahn, seems to have taken a liking to Goro Majima. If you want to see him, just cast a glance at the monitors."

Should Giygas do so, he'll be able to spot Ken Tahn◊ in one. He seems to be dancing a little, probably to entertain himself.

Giygas may also note the big (but not complete) resemblance to Ninten.

Speaking of Ninten, he looks confused.

"I dunno about... being from SEGA games or anything, but I am a gamer.", he says. "If I can get my hands on one of these Sega Saturns and play a game on it for a while, do you think that'll be enough?"

"I don't know." , Pocky honestly admits. "But we'll never know if you don't try."

He shrugs.

"Maybe talking about it will do you good. I won't tell anyone else."

"I don't, but I suppose I'd appreciate help if you have a plan in mind. My strategy for an unsealed evil usually boils down to 'kill it so it won't have to be sealed ever again'."

Giygas casts a bemused glance at Tahn.    Intriguing...   

   "I certainly think it will,"    says Shadow.    "But the point of all this is Magicant, right? We should only try picking up Segata if we conclude that getting the Emeralds from the doctors has to happen first."   

"Don't... talk about it like that."

Rin takes a seat, pours herself a drink, and sighs, staring into her reflection in the glass. "I'm not really human. I'm a flawed, broken attempt at a prototype replacement for humanity, created in the digital age. 'Muse' isn't my title - it's my species."

Her brow furrows. "I only learned this when I was kidnapped by some transhumanist dickwad. I didn't even know human blood was supposed to be red."

"I'm only good at sealing into my own body, and considering I don't want that thing inside of me... I've got nothing." He comments with a slight shrug. "I suppose I can try practicing some sealing jutsu when I get the chance to, though."

Man, I honestly don't give a shit about being a reflection or anything. You have feelings, emotions, you know how to kick ass...

She kinda lean to the side.

What makes someone a... huh, person is that, in my opinion. Doesn't matter if you're human or not. If you're sapient enough to know pain, joy, all those things, you're real.
