On another topic: Do you wish a modernized version of Dante's Inferno or something completely new in terms of hell?

I definitely like the idea of a nine-tiered hell;◊ it lets you make each layer vastly different from one another and cover multiple interpretations simultaneously. Let's go to Stygia!

I love jerk-ass angels, just don't get too caught up in the Judeo-Christian mythology. I'd rather this not be a setting that flat-out confirms one religion.

Well hard to do a dante meets Die Hard without confirming that kind of mythology. Sorry to disappoint.

Then emphasize All Myths Are True, because dante's idea of hell was nine layered aswell. Ah well, I'll base myself on Dante and Judeo-Christian myths regardless. Easier to meld. This wasn't a deep discussion on the nature of hell to begin with. Since we have the fourth player, let's start this romp.

Ok. So question, our corpses still have their gear. Do our afterlife bodies still have it as well? -totally isn't going to loot my own corpse for duplicates of my equipment-

Did our clothing die too?

You have a spectral duplicate of your gear. You can try to loot but... you will only phase through the real thing.

Trivia: Sabaoth means "host" or "Army". I thought it'd be more fitting than Hell Police.

Hell Police sounds pretty funny though.
