I'm actually happy that a divorce happened rather than a deal with the devil. I'm hoping the divorce happened because Peter's ego as Spider-Man was getting to him. After all, he was a comic, a Christmas album, and a popsicle. If that doesn't inflate your ego, I don't know what will.
I'm glad that, judging by the music video, the film kept Miles' Venom Strike.
One of the things I kind of dislike about the shows is their weird tendency to get rid of that ability, even though at best that makes him functionally redundant. At worst he's given such an overpowered ability that he can't be used consistently.
EDIT: Oh, the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon did keep that ability. Nvm then.

Actually, older Peter, as per a few articles, divorced MJ because she wanted kids and he didn’t.

Well this is certainly better than Mephisto.
It does add the touch of realism that Peter has problems like anyone else & they are no easier for him to solve.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I think he has it in the newest cartoon as well.

‘My ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.’Boycotting? Because clearly when people get married, they STAY MARRIED. -_- I mean come on, you didn't see that shot in the trailer of a forlorn Peter looking at a photo of MJ?? Did that not ring any bells?

I wouldn't be surprised if during an ending montage, Pete and MJ patch things up when he goes back to his own universe.
Divorcing because of something like that seems wildly out of character for both of them.
Also Peter is totally going to die. He has both the mentor thing and the picture thing.
This song needs more love.@Cross: He does have it in the new show, but the show tweaked it in such a way that it causes literal EMPs against machinery.
Naturally, such a powerful ability is either conveniently forgotten about, or Miles just doesn't show up in most episodes.
I was under the (mistaken) impression that something the shows liked to do was ignore how the Venom Strike works.
My two cents on the spoiler stuff: Honestly, I don't mind it that much. We have a Peter in the film where everything went kinda right for him before he sadly passed away, and then a Peter who had everything go wrong and struggling to find a reason to keep going.
Boxofficepro are predicting a $17 million to $27 million opening weekend[1]. How does that compare to previous animated films?
That's ... decent? What is its budget again?
The budget isn’t known at the moment to my knowledge
Well imagining that the total international gross will be way above that in the long run, I'd say it will be a hit.
Cinemark promo, isn’t in English

...... what is its title there?
It translates to the English title
New song from the official soundtrack released by Republic Records
Regarding the MJ-Peter divorce. Since the older Peter is implied to be the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man I can buy that, since I don't think the romance between Spider-Man and MJ ever worked in the Spider-Man Trilogy. I mean they were a terrible couple in 3 , and even in the comics, there was that period of separation between MJ surviving that "crash" and mid-way into JMS' run that led to the last golden years for the marriage before OMD.
The problem is that once you go into the direction, without any surviving family such as Aunt May, or any connection or any possibility of romance, since if Peter divorced MJ because he couldn't keep the double life together than it's hard to believe that he could do it with any other civilian girl, so it's only Black Cats and Captain Marvels from then on. So Peter basically becomes Rorschach, a full grown hobo with no friends and family or anyone to stop him from being Spider-Man full-time. So obviously it's something no one will ever do in the real comics.
That's the only logical conclusion you can take when you go there. And I think doing that with Peter Parker in his 40s is a good touch since the whole idea is for different Spider-Man to stand out in the Spider-Verse.
Astro City did something like that with Jack-In-The-Box. I won’t spoil it because well...Astro City is really good.
I know, I love Astro City.
Sure explains his lack of money to pay for those fries.
Divorce is certainly better than annulment via Mephisto. For one thing, it can actually happen. And it doesn't retroactively change the past or be seen as an act of selfishness. Honestly, it kinda makes sense to have this Peter Parker be the ultimate loser to help contrast him and Miles Morales.

A divorce is something neither character would ever put each other through, so no. It's just more anti-marriage/Peter's a loser propaganda b.s
