videos pandering to varying extents appeal to "SOCIAL JUSTICE has RUINED (film x)".
Someone can be right about something and still have political views you happen to disagree with.
Speaking about DotM, I can understand why it's looked as the best of the Bay films. For one thing, the heavier 3D camera allowed Bay to calm down and not move the camera so much and focus on the action. It's also the one most faithful to the G1 cartoon's mythology, even taking elements from the famous Ultimate Doom story arc. It still has Sam, the terrible humor, and it's still way too damn long, but I can understand the affection this one may have.

See, that's all well and good. However, what's wrong is that when someone's political views make them wrong.
That said, I think Gaon's point was less "this person said it, so it's wrong" as it was "this person's garbage, so don't give them a platform."
