New trailer:
So the Cupcake is gonna kill people
The Spring Bonnie suit looks awesome
The First manI'm slightly disappointed the trailers come straight out and explain the ghost children thing, rather than leave it mysterious. Not much, but just a bit.
I know everyone knows all about that already, especially everyone who would be going to this movie, but I was hoping the film itself would play it bit more suspenseful and build up to The Reveal. If it's straight out explained straight out in the trailers, it's probably straight out explained straight out in the movie itself.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Unless this ends up being a Ruby Gillman-style "wait, they wanted that to be a twist?!" thing.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonGoing by the first trailer, the twist might be that the animatronics are not wanting to make Mike's sister "like them", but in fact trying to get revenge on their murderer.
oh hey how are you doing?I think the twist will just be that 'Steve Raglan' is the killer. And that Spring Bonnie is not a 'normal' animatronic.
The First manHold on a second about the Springtrap moment I recognize that moment. Did Shaggy Afton just do the Ghostface knife swipe thing-
....you cannot convince me they didn't know what they were doing-

It's funny. For a guy whose career making role was a villain, and who is so damn good at playing villains (at least, imo), Matthew Lillard's only played a couple throughout his career.
I mean, he's also really damn good at playing Shaggy, so I'm not complaining, but still.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Per Jatinder of box office pro. [Five Nights at Freddy's] has more tix sold than 'Halloween Ends' and 'Scream VI' had on its first day, COMBINED."
Hoenstky feel as far as films coming out this year. This is one really being understated box office wise. It's a defining genration z horror franchise. And add in cameos from the guys who helped make it big (Dawko, markiplier, Matt) and we could be looking at a really good score.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."It does boggle my mind that Universal would also put it on Peacock. Then again, how did Halloween Kills do with Day and Date? I remember it doing really well.
I feel like FNAF will be the most successful movie of the fall for sure.
It's been 3000 years…If it goes well at the box office I can tell it will do well considering they planned sequels as a trillogy.
I am interested in seeing how Lillard would play Springtrap.
The First manIt's weird his two villain roles I know him from are so wildly different
Like he's a cold machevillain mastermind in Karas and an Ax-Crazy Laughbly Evil psychopath in scream.
Which you think we'll get as both would fit an interpation of Acton.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I read that as Kars from Jojo.
Mileena MadnessI still think they kind of shot themselves in the foot by making it PG-13. That said, worked out for the first Happy Death Day movie though—and to a lesser extent, the second one mainly thanks to fan-following.
FNAF has never been a particularly visceral horror franchise. It's always been a PG 13 series, which is why it's generally popular with younger horror fans.
The way of killing of choice of the animatronics basically censors itself, by design. Afton's a serial killer, but almost entirely offscreen.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Being PG-13 was the best idea the filmakers could have gone with. The franchise has a pretty large younger audience the film would struggle to appeal to if it was rated R. And the only 2 parts of the franchise that have gone into R rated territory is Frights and Tales(Namely the latter, where the plot of the epilogues is Mimic slaughtering a bunch of teens in hilariously brutal ways) and neither are what the film seems to be drawing from. So PG-13 is the wisest idea.
The First manAnd cut off like most the audience ? Most of the audience for these games are kids and teens.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I wonder how it's going to do the springlock scene, considering the PG-13 rating.

Just have him get springlocked with only small ammounts of blood leaking from the suit. By the nature of a springlock suit, most of the gore will already be hidden by the suit itself.
The First manFive nights at Freddy's contimues it's winning start.
12 million Thursday previews. $12M Thursday previews would be the 2nd best horror previews ever, only behind the first “IT” ($13.5M in 2017). That's massive. I did see someone speculate on the peacock day release hurting it but I don't expect that. It's a defining generation Z franchise (kids and teens love it) so the hype is real. (which you know would be a worry if peiole you know had that streaming service.....lol).

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."So the games are T and not M? Then yeah, that totally changed everything. The fanbase seems very huge and there's definitely longevity, so in that case, gonna be a big hit if Day and Date on Peacock doesn't hurt it.
It helps that all the major five nights at Freddy's youtubers who helped make the franchise bug have been helping with advertising. Well mostly all (Web Video/{Markiplier ironically the most iconic isn't since he's Sag Afrta but hat Mahe chnahe with the sag strike winding down).
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
Again, we see the logbook Mike has during his time as a security guard. And in it he references stuff from Sister Location.
