Nintendo isn't using sprites anymore unless they want to use them for icons, like the Pokemon sprites in Sword and Shield.
Where there's life, there's hope.Maybe they could work with Square Enix to use the Octopath Traveller engine for a new Golden Sun.
Ukrainian Red CrossYeah, I was thinking something similar to Octopath Traveller, though more in the Golden Sun style.

Maybe they could do something like Arc System Works where the game uses 3D graphics that look 2D.
Just remake all the classic RPGs and crib off from Octopath Traveler’s graphical style, thanks. I’ll take FF6 and Chrono Trigger.

Square hates FF 6
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I'm pretty big on FF 5.
They already have a good template for it gameplay wise with the Bravely Default series (which I admit, I'm thinking of trying, and I kinda regret missing out on the first game).
One Strip! One Strip!A page late but my understanding is that Xenoblade 2 was made with practically a skeleton crew because of how many people from Monolith were pulled to work on Bot W.
The team that assists on Zelda now is a distinct team, but that was not formerly the case, and the only game Monolith has released since is Xenoblade 1's Definitive Edition (although they are supposed to have a new IP underway as well).

Three major releases in the span of two and a half years is nothing to sneeze at.

The plan was to work on it at the company Production Team 1 (which usually works on the Xenoblade franchise) alongside Torna – The Golden Country and a new game at the same time.
In May 2018, Takahashi-san hosted a presentation about the new game and the Definitive Edition together, and production officially started in August after Torna went gold.
Basically, the studio has worked on three projects at the same time for a while. The team was divided between DE team, new game team, and those involved in both.
Huh. I thought splitting development teams and working on multiple games at a time tended to damage game quality.
At least that's the impression I got from the many disasters of Sonic Team.
One Strip! One Strip!Depends on the team, man.
Heh. That doesn't speak well of Sonic Team then.
Of course, there were other things working against them, but still.
One Strip! One Strip! From what I understand, Sonic Team's issue is that SEGA shuffles developers around between production teams.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."That may explain why every Sonic game always seems to be something trying to be new instead of building upon what made the last game work.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Honestly, some franchises just work and sometimes only work with a particular format or development. Sonic Mania was praised and won many people over as a fast pace and fun game. Forces was more derisive and accused of forcing another 'Ow, the Edge' story.
Some franchises can find success in 2D and 3D. Some can only work in one of those dimensions but fails in the other. Some need to be innovative each game to be fresh and popular, some can spit out the same design and still be liked.
-Witty line-That seems like an oversimplification of the problems with Forces narrative-wise. The criticism is more along the lines of "they have a good premise but do nothing with it and potentially cool characters end up being a waste".
And I hated how they made Tails a weakling coward considering how previous games let him kick as much ass as Sonic. It's like they don't want him or the other characters stepping on Sonic's toes.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.Switch is up to 68.3 million up 6.85 this quarter. Revised forecasts: 24 million hardware; 170 million software.
There has been no change to the rankings in the top 10 software other than sales.
Other million sellers than the top 10 are:
- Ring Fit Adventure
- Super Mario: 3D All-Stars
- Paper Mario: The Origami King
- Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics
- Luigi's Mansion 3
- Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Yup, it's officially outsold the NES. At this rate, it might just be able to outsell the GBA by early January.
Ukrainian Red Crossiirc it's 7 million away from beating the 3DS.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Checks Hmm, more like 7.5 million, but yeah, I'd be surprised if it didn't outsell the 3DS this year.
Ukrainian Red CrossMetroid skins out of nowhere
Hades and Sakuna Of Rice And Ruin are on my curious-about list.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Unless a Successor is kickstarted with HD sprites like that Suidoken Successor a while back, I don't see HD sprites being used for a Golden Sun remake or sequel at all.
