Haha, sorry, just a typo.
Optimism is a duty.Didn't they make the Violet-Violent pun already in "The Split Sword of Swanstantine"?
Anyone think it stings seeing that Disney XD has been airing less reruns of the series this year compared to how much they aired it from 2017-20? Kinda shocking considering it's one of their most successful Disney cartoons in the modern age. This gives flashbacks to when Star vs the Forces of Evil got less reruns in late 2018-2019 before being taken off the regular schedule both on Channel and XD just a few weeks after its finale aired (only returns for the occasional holiday episode and occasional small marathon) unlike how they still air the wazoo out of Gravity Falls and Phineas and Ferb.
Maybe the reruns are not as successful as we think? I don't know.
Optimism is a duty.So how do you all think Lena ages (if she does)?
On one hand, a flashback in Shadow War 15 years before that episode does imply she looked the same when she was "born" but considering how Frank said Lena wasn't lying when she told Webby she got her sweater from the Featherweights, it may have only been cause we were seeing it through Webby's imagination and perspective for the flashback.
Further confusing things is that Frank also said Lena's only about a year older than Webby (and Webby cannot be 14 since she's too short unless the final batch proves me wrong) and that she isn't immortal either.
My take is she was stuck physically being 13 for 15 years and when she got out of the Shadow Realm without Magica controlling her in Friendship Hates Magic, she's started aging normally (or Violet and her just used a spell to make her age normally)
So Magica's shadow is a teenager?
Huh. I guess Magica really is a kid at heart, then? Who knew?

Optimism is a duty. Here's a Random Rings short where Cricket from Big City Greens calls up Launchpad from Duck Tales.
Looking at minor characters from the show, I realized that the jade tigers Liu Hai conjures are exceptions from the "non-anthro animals have Black Bead Eyes" rule that is otherwise fairly consistent in the show. I wonder if that's because they are magically conjured beings rather than proper animals.
Man, I wonder if Pluto would've had black bead eyes or normal eyes if he appeared on the show.
In other news, their currently mixing the finale and prepare for epic music.
Frank's answering asks for the show again so give him all the asks you want now.
And one he recently gave is on Drake's age in that he's apparently four years younger than Donald and Della meaning he was 32 by the end of season 2.
I poked him muhahaha, also he worked on season 3 of Kid Cosmic
New theme music also a boxSo Daisy will be making one more appearence in the final episodes.
Nudged him, too
"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."How old is Daisy supposed to be compared to Donald?
Well seems like they always sorta planned out a three season story according to Frank.
So maybe the show ending may really have been his and Matt's choice after all.
Ah, that's nice to hear. Guess that's one clarified thing now

"Bingo! If two species hate each other, they will wipe each other out on their own."Odd that they made Donald and Della so old. They always come off as twentysomethings to me. But then of course that would not fit with the triplets.
Were Donald and Della always twins in canon? I'm not sure.

Optimism is a duty.I asked ages ago about Della, and he noted that the thing they set in mind for how much of a Fish out of Temporal Water Della would be when she returned were smartphones (IIRC, his response was that they decided Della disappeared the day before the iPhone was unveiled), so their age probably had something to do pinned timeframe.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Della Duck was first mentioned in Donald Duck comic strips in 1937 as "Cousin Della". The second time, and first mention on screen, was in the animated short "Donald's Nephews" (1938) as "Sister Dumbella". So i think twin sister was dt17 thing?(edit: ah in "Richest duck in the world in life and time Hortence introduced them as twin )

Donald and Della were twins since that Life and Times with Scrooge Mc Duck comic where Hortense states they're twins.
Frank also gives more insight in an ask question regarding if they ever considered a season 4:
A: When we were lucky enough to get the order for Season 3, we immediately went into “wrap things up” mode. We weren’t naive; we knew the likelihood of more than three seasons on broadcast TV these days is incredibly slim, especially for a 22-minute serialized adventure cartoon. And I’d had the experience on “Wander Over Yonder” where we never got to finish out the big story we had planned. There were a couple of big story threads we had from the beginning that we wanted to be sure we delivered on, so even before we had an inkling it was over, we wanted to build to the end of those stories. Which is why you can divide the three season of Duck Tales into Past (the kids discovering that they’re part of this epic family history and uncovering secrets), Present (Della and Louie trying to figure out where she belongs in the middle of this functioning adventure family), and Future (the first word of Season 3 is literally “Legacy,” and so many of the stories have focused on who these characters want to be going forward; hence the introduction of Daisy for Donald, Launchpad finding his place in St. Canard, Lena becoming a defender of magic, etc.). Whenever we talk about the possibility of revisiting the Duck Family down the line, it’s always with the understanding that this giant chapter in their lives is done, and we’d want to figure out a new status quo.
Also looks like we're about to get one crazy Huey and Beakley interaction in the final batch with this OOC Huey line: “COUGH UP THE INFORMATION, BENTINA!”
Odd, it never felt like they were wrapping up, quite the contrary, actually. I guess it depends on the context of knowing the show is ending.
Optimism is a duty.Well they are wrapping up several arcs like Goldie's in Forbidden Fountains of Foreverglades, Penumbra's in They Put a Moonlander on the Earth, and Lena (sorta in the sense she's no longer tied to Magica even in magic) on Phantom and the Sorceress.
Establishing a new status quo can feel like getting ready to go for the long haul if there's no immediate sense of finality.
Fresh-eyed movie blog
I'm not sure whether I should link to Saturday Night Live or Tiny Toon Adventures in pointing out it's "Violet's", not "Violent's", since the latter did exactly that joke in a parody of a bit from the former.
Also, didn't we already go over who the competition is?
