[up]I know that, at one point, she was planned to be introduced as Glomgold's second-in-command, but that role was very much taken by Owlson in Season 2.

I'm not sure that it is a good sign that her favourite character is Daisy. Then again, there isn't exactly much choice for young female role models in most Duck stories.

I'm curious as to Zan Owlson's role later on, considering that she's shown on the big poster, which suggests that she'll at least bury the hatchet with the McDuck family.

[up]She said she'd start her own business. Perhaps the Duckburg Billionaires' Club will finally have a fourth member?

Well, Zan never seemed all that evil to begin with, if at all. If anything, she tries to stop people from being villains, so aligning with the heroes would hardly be a huge step.

Yeah, I know she wasn't particularly evil. She seems basically set to become part of the ensemble cast.

Though I admit pretty early on I thought that she was gonna be an antagonist due to working with Glomgold Industries, only to turn out she was basically the opposite.

I thought her dynamic was pretty fun with Glomgold as a result, and I'm disappointed we're not likely to have a dynamic like that again. XD

Yeah, it was a fun dynamic, it's a shame it will be dropped so soon.

I wanted to share this wild idea I had for a DuckTales character who'd also be a Shout-Out to another work; A Grasshopper of Japanese descent who's actually as big as the ducks and dogfaces, and taller. He's also a Henshin Hero who's a masked bike rider who defeats his foes with kicks. For an added bonus, the design of his suit could be reminiscent of the currently recent Kamen Rider Zero-One.

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.

Plot twist: Owlson comes back as the only sane billionaire in Duckburg, but in a fit of irony ends up with an assistant who is a complete crackpot.

She could have a somewhat unhinged focus on proving she's the only functioning adult with a fortune.

I sort of don't want her to straight up become the only sane billionaire in Duckberg.

I'd like to see her get close but to eventually realize she needs to at least take into account the craziness that happens in Duckberg.

A grasshopper sounds pretty out there even for this show. I think that would be too far outside the scope of the setting.

[up]We already had a grasshopper / cricket, but it was a supernatural being (the Ghost of Christmas Past) rather than a regular person.

Oh yeah, that's right. Though that one worked mainly due to the connection to Jimminy Cricket, who had already been paired with Scrooge in that specific context. I think introducing an entirely new character like that without the context of Disney's "A Christmas Carol" adaptation would be a much harder sell, though.

[up]Agreed. Now that I think about it, all regular (non-supernatural) people in the show have been so far: 1) birds; 2) carnivorans (dogs, wolves, tigers, bears) or 3) pigs. The toad-people in "The House of Lucky Gander" and the horse characters (Manny, the kelpies) have all been supernatural beings.

When have we seen wolves and tigers?

The stock character types for Duck stories are pigs, dogs, ducks, and the occasional non-duck bird. Though I have seen some authors (I think Barks as well) experiment with other species, they tend to stick to a fairly small range of mammals and birds.

[up] The Russian guys in the pilot episode were wolves and we see a tiger in the golf episode.

We're also confirmed to be getting Kit and Molly from Talespin (who are both bears).

Don Karnage is also a wolf. And Taurus Bulba is confirmed to appear in Season 3, so the list of fully anthropomorphic species will be extended with bulls.

If we're getting more TaleSpin content we may also get Shere Khan, a tiger.

*Sigh* We miss you Tony Jay.

[up]Depends on whether they're allowed to use characters based on The Jungle Book.

And indeed, TaleSpin had a much more broad range of anthropomorphic animals than Duck comics did. Bears, tigers, wolves, dogs, foxes, monkeys, rhinos, hippos, rabbits, the occasional vulture, and even one snake.

I'm kind of wondering if/hoping the Moonlanders will be integrated into the background after the Season 2 finale.

[up][up]True, there were Taurus Bulba's three henchmen (a goat, a ram and a donkey), Tuskernini (walrus), Megavolt (rat?), Grizzlikoff (bear) and Moliarty (mole). I'm not counting Neptunia, as she's treated as a fantastic fish-being rather than a human, or Stegmutt, who is implied to have been a duck before getting turned into a humanoid dinosaur.
