I was never an Elliot main but I don't recall him ever having that "catching set up" like Gen Fu does. Is this something new or did always have that back in 4?

"6" is rated M for Mature, everyone act surprised.

Even Earth Defense Force 2025 got rated mature they just throw that rating around for giggles.

So, you guys think that we'll get anymore new characters for 6? I'm thinking that the base roster will have a least three more newcomers, making for a grand total of five.

I'm hoping. Nico's at least something new to DOA although she's veering into robowaifubait territory. Diego is a pretty milquetoast addition.

Both of the newcomers are cool, don't get me wrong, but they really just seem to be archetypes that DOA is checkboxing more than wildly creative fighters.

We have a trailer for both Nyotengu and Phase 4.

Of all the characters to see again, I never expected Phase 4. But I did enjoy her fighting style.

I don't why I'm surprise that he just straight admit that Nico with an anime intent in mind.

If this is really the launch roster, I gotta say I'm disappointed that we didn't get more Ninja Gaiden characters. Right now I find our 2 new characters to be very lackluster & not nearly as good as DOA 5's newcomers

They did say they were just going to focus on characters tied to the DOA story continuity on the first launch. The Ninja Gaiden and other cross over characters will probably be released if there's a DOA 6 ultimate or whatever later

And that's why I'm just not excited for this game. Everything is just feels like "DOA 6 is here" & that's about it. After DOA 5's story mode, I don't have any reason to look forward & see what happen in 6's story.

I'm getting the game, but it just isn't going to be day 1 buy

Doesn’t look like it’s been mentioned, but there’s an online beta going right now for PS4 till the 14th. Short tutorial, ranked online only, available characters are the ninja quartet and Diego.

I'm honestly sad that this'll inevitably get patched out in the final release of "6". It's too funny to me.

I love how they admitted maire/honoka and nico are shameless fanservice tropefiends for animu nerds.

I actually don't hate marie rose but that just confirms how trash honoka is. For creeps who want underage girls with woman's boobs. Shallow, low effort garbage made to pander to otaku.

I freakin hate Honoka.

Diego was made to appeal to the west and Nico the east..or more accurately, the otaku market. It's interesting to see how taste differ between regions. But I think it presents proof the otaku market for better or worse seems to be the safest horse to bet on, at least as far as the asian market is concerned.

I assume "vet" is used liberally. In the Smash Bros community I've heard Snake being called a "vet" despite only appearing in Brawl and Ultimate.

Over Momiji sure, but after seeing him in Nico's trailer & Honoka being in the game I figure he would be in the game regardless.
