You can always just put it off until later like I did.

I guess having only one low level dude and a bunch of high level ones (so Lin and Elma) works pretty well.

By the way, the only squad mission seems to be Global Nemesis.

Even if I apparently am brought up to the proper level for the battle, it's still kinda a big step for me.

Maybe I should just see if I can buy or make these level up Augments instead.

Finally beat Ga Jiarg. I had to put a bunch of sockets on my melee weapon to put a bunch of humanoid attack augments on just to make a real dent in him, only to find out that his Skell fight is even more bullshit. Then I had to buy a second Skell for Elma so she could do meat shield duty.

But who cares, I got flying Skells!

Wait, you mean you didn't already have everyone in Skells?

That's because most of your income comes from your Revenue. You seriously should be maintaining your Data Probes and occasionally pausing to optimize them.

I honestly didn't know this game had Heart-to-Hearts until now. I was in the Industrial District finishing up a mission, and someone had some info that turned out to be a location for Elma's. Then I found one for Irina's right afterward.

Is there something that you have to do before they'll pop up? Because I swear I've been through those areas recently and didn't see the info.

Nope. The character just can't be in your party at the time. They'll appear at certain places during certain times of day provided your Affinity with them is high enough.

Alright, makes sense. Guess I need to wander around NLA more often.

My enjoyment of the game increased greatly when I started doing that after chapter 5. Kinda wish I'd been doing it from the first chapter.

There's only five each right? I've done all of Elmas heart-to-heart by chapter six then.

On people thinking X deserves the trope Mary Suetopia. Those people have not done the affinity mission A False Hope...

Or the many racism quests. Or just walked around NLA and found the humans intimidating the Ma-non (and later the Tree Clan). Or paid attention to the Wrothians...

Bah. There's a reason I nuked that one.

So, just got my first Skell. I can buy a whole set of level 30s right now, but currently I'm using just the one to grind every playable character I've unlocked up, with a second pilot in the level 20.

Considering that the "Mary Sue X" pages are now Flame Bait, it's not to be included anyway even if the game's setting fit.

Also, I apologize if I sounded impatient in my last post. I'm at level 26 now after playing 32 hours and I was thinking I was lagging behind the progress of the average player because this is the first RPG in a very long time I play, and I was getting used to the gameplay mechanics. Now I feel more confident in regards of the game's overworld, though I wish there was an easier way to explore Noctilum (those Simius are everywhere, and they hit hard sad).

So I finally got a second, upgraded Skell for my main. Handed my first one to Doug as we built bro points for Soldier of the Harriers. Doug went from The Load to Memetic Badass. Once I actually could do that mission though, I handed it over to Elma instead. Things just got a lot easier.

And thanks for letting me know that I should get a whole team of Skells. Which chapter was it for it to be essential?

And am I the only one who doesn't really want to work with Boze (since he's a copy-paste Partisan Eagle, where Lao and myself already occupy)? Got his second affinity mission out of the way quickly.

Damn I just learned I could have saved the one Orphe and let him use that drop of Senirapa Water to survive. His death is a tragic loss for both humanity and Orphe.

Does anyone know what chapter the quest concerning the bomb shows up? I know I have to learn how to disarm it first.

That particular choice shows up in the Murder Most Foul quest. The piece of information you need was said by an NPC near the southern end of the Administrative District, near the repair center.

On the subject of exploring Noctilum:

You just gotta Solid Snake that shit. I was incredibly intimidated for quite some time by the high level Simius there, but once I buckled down and pushed on ahead I never got attacked by them once while getting my Survey Rate up.

[up][up]He's asking when that quest becomes available. I stumbled into it around chapter 8 I think.

So I did Gwin's Affinity quest where you help the dude with the cat. Got Ultraslash.

Can't upgrade it cause I keep using up all my battle points. Need to remember to update my collectopedia soon. That will help.

Gonna do some more affinity quests before I go near Chapter 6 (aka, the Tatsu fucks up so bad he destroys any good will he might have chapter).

Trying to upgrade my weapons and armour right now, and may start using augments as well. Might as well I figure.

Okay. I beat chapter seven recently and have been doing the quests that popped up since then.

But thank you both for that. I just don't want another accidental death. I've avoided those so far.

Also nice to see the city filled with Orphe once the water got spread. I also like that one of the new ones and the Nopon brothers joined BLADE as well.

[up] Some heart-to-hearts only happen depending on what animal (cat or dog) you have out as well. Just to let you know. Those optional quests to get pets should be available since you beat it.

Oh, during Elma's second Heart-to-Heart, when Elma asks you what kind of pet you prefer, make sure to tell her you're an Elma person.
