True. It would probably need PS 5 levels of cooling, and even then, with 8K only being a novelty right now and not really that commericially available, thats a long way out.

It's tangentially related to Nintendo, but the Go Nintendo owner has just reappeared and posted for the first time in a while. It seems they had a very traumatic experience that left them completely away from everything for that duration and they are unsure if they'll go back to normal on the site due to the experience.

Here's the post. They didn't go into detail, but it's the full post on the matter.

Nintendo is planning to turn its dormant Uji Ogura plant and the land around it into a Nintendo Gallery to showcase historical products with Nintendo planning to finished it sometime before March 2024.

God bless working from home. This will be the first E3 I can actually watch live in years.

For me it's the opposite: that's right when my shift begins after a few years when Nintendo's been pretty accommodating scheduling their presentations on my days off.

Oh well, shouldn't be too hard to sneak to occasional glance at my phone.

It should be noted that this is Nintendo's regular time for E3 Directs, so it's likely your schedule has changed since the last one in 2019.

I'm gonna be on a medical leave from work, so I'll be able to watch this live like I usually do.

I work all sorts of hours so don't I know it, haha.

For me it might be the first E3 in years I don't catch live because this year I have weekly discussions with my graduate studies supervisors that coincidentally also happen on Tuesday afternoons. I could maybe ask to reschedule, since the current schedule is just a time that we decided worked, not the only time in the week that would work.

I’ll be able to watch it on my lunch break. Wait. Never mind, I’ll have to watch it after the fact.

Graduate school summer break! I'll be able to watch the whole thing!

The Direct is ending right before I need to leave for a long drive. So that's nice.

I'll be able to watch it live, provided that I'm awake of course.

Asssuming E3 2021 is when we'll be hearing about the heavily rumored Switch Pro, I'm only saying this: I would really love it if it was called the Super Nintendo Switch, if only for that small burst of nostalgia.

They should cram the short trailers and announcements in that 40 minute window, then use the 3 hour Treehouse for gameplay.

The E3 direct is "focused exclusively on #NintendoSwitch software". I feel like they worded it that way specifically to quash all the rumours about new hardware.

Is this the most notice Nintendo have ever given about a Direct?

Checks I'm working days that week and I get home about half an hour before it starts, so I'll be able to watch live. And I'll look into setting up a group Zoom chat if anybody wants to watch together.

Technically yes, as far as I'm aware. They usually give two weeks advance notice for E3... but this is the first time I can think of where they've used the Direct branding for E3. Usually they call it something like "Digital Presentation" or "Digital Event" instead of a Direct.
