Just had a thought; I wonder why Street Fighter has never had a true Dream Match game like KoF or Tekken Tag Tournament. Was it just because Capcom was much more averse to recycling assets in the main series games? I'm not sure I could accept that since they were just fine with re-using assets in the Vs games. Poor Morrigan had the same damn sprite for nearly 20 years. :V
The closest they've come to a Dream Match was probably Ultra Street Fighter IV - more so than SFV despite having more characters, because it feels more story-heavy and that affects which characters were brought back, plus there's much more of an emphasis on newcomers.

IIRC, SFIV as a whole was designed from the start as a special "SFII reunion game, plus a couple new guys" game, because it was also the series' big return after a long absence. That's why the DLC made sure to get everyone else from the SFII roster, plus a few fan favorites from the other titles, into the mix as well.

Alpha 3's console port was more or less that with all the Super Street Fighter II characters imported without new sprites, and they'd done so many crossovers throughout the 90s featuring every popular Street Fighter character in some capacity that they didn't really need to otherwise.

I think we've seen what happens when they import 3D models with MvCI. The anachronism might be more acceptable with sprites, but they never got the old characters looking as polished as the new ones and people took notice.

This generation really racked up the man spare bodies and clones that Bison made. He now has Cammy, Decapre, Abel, Seth, Ed, and now Falke. Seriously, he's technically a father of six now.
Seriously, I also think that Capcom needs to add some more red hairs, brunettes, and raven hairs who are Caucasians. Because it's getting noticeable how they slap blond air on every European or American.

Dude wtf hard mode Boss Gill in this game is even harder than 3rd Strike Gill.
He's Perfect Play A.I. even on level 6. Takes off 40% with his combo and never drops it. He makes lvl 8 Bison look like a chump in comparison.

As pointed out in the Switch thread, V is supposed to be a Sony exclusive, but then again deals like those tend to have an expiry date. Maybe that's happening here.

Back on topic. On Rose's connection with [Dictator] Vega/Bison, the former suddenly acquired the good half of the soul of the latter when he killed his master and became evil. This allowed Rose to use abilities she never really learned and it's why [Dictator] Vega/Bison became weaker in Street Fighter II, chronologically after Street Fighter Zero/Alpha 3 because when he possessed Rose, he was merged with the good half of his soul and that stayed despite getting a new body in between both games.
