For context, the link goes to a tweet by @PlayOverwatch featuring a Meganekko Schoolgirl D.Va skin.
D.va... Does not look right in that, and I can't accurately describe why.
For a skin what is supposed to "break the Internet", I feel cheated on.
Though one of the replies does give flashbacks.
Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! The mech design is nice. Otherwise its typical waifu bait.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireThe mech looks nice. Glad they finally made a skin that makes it look more like an actual mecha. The costume looks a bit off: the hard shoulder angles do not really mesh well with most of D.Va's character animations, and the shape and the coloration of the glasses make them disappear in her face, making them feel like an afterthought. The glasses being same pink as the mech would've gone a long way in improving this issue.
If it drops on me, I might use it. Not spending my hard-ground credits for that, though.
The internet breaking skin should have been a striped dress that actually appears different colors on different systems.
D.Va in a schoolgirl outfit?
About damn time!
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Well if they wanna break the internet then maybe put her in....... I guess a wedding dress.
That’s prolly something that get you feeling possessive over your waifu.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I so want to see Mercy in that skin too.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. There's something about schoolgirl outfits being played for fanservice that deeply unsettles me, if I'm honest.
TV Tropes's No. 1 bread themed lesbian. she/her, fae/faerSomething else than the obvious issue that the usual wearers of such outfits are underage?
....Out of all things they could of gave him? What?
I think it works. His jump pack becoming wings? Makes a lot of sense.
The concept isn't bad, but I'm somewhat iffy on the result. Dropping the glasses would've helped.
His glasses are integral to a handful of his animations, so they can't really just drop them.
Kind of a Halloween design, but I wont complain. Gargoyles are one of my favorite types of monster.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireOh right. I think they actually show him correcting his glasses in the reveal video. Silly me.
About the D.Va skin, who said it was "internet breaking" again? Was it just Blizzard hyping things or was there actual, somewhat measurable outrage over this?
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Misleading hype and dissapointment.
Just like Doomfist

Uni catI dunno, I think at least Doomfist kinda sorta met the hype.
In that it became one of the all time most broken Heroes ever, like right below the season 1 Mccree tier. ):<
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Good Doomfists feel like they dont have cooldowns at all.
How the fuck do you have that annoying uppercut always available!
Uni catI appreciate the idea they had with him, which was to put a fighting game character in an FPS.
Right now I started to watch The Rising Of The Shield Hero.
The story takes place in a RPG-verse where shield is treated like crap, and the main character suffers big time because he can only use shield.
After years of playing Overwatch (and watching Marvel Cinematic Universe), I find that premise so alienating. Like, right now the meta practically revolves around Reinhardt and Brigitte, shield users.
Also, because the MC cannot use offensive weapon, he resorts to using his barefist and then having other companion to do DPS on monsters for him.
I'm like, dude use your goddamn shield and bash enemies with it, it might even stun them. XD

Anyone ever think to themselves, "D.Va just looks way too old?"
