By the way, I would agree that Dabi is the most idealistic member of the league. Spinner talks like an idealist, but really that's just fanboyism- he's trying to imitate Stain as closely as possible, and it seems to be more about 'that guy was really cool' than 'I agree with what that guy stands for.' And Toga, meanwhile, is mostly there because nobody would tolerate her serial killer ways anywhere else.

Dabi, though? He's not with the league out of loyalty, or because he has nowhere else to go. He's there because he believes in the cause- he's the reason Shiragaki has had to talk like an ideologue lately.

Spinner seems the most likely to get killed next, because his admiration of Stain is similar to Deku's about All Might. It's mostly blind fanboyism, and I don't think Spinner fully understands the type of person Stain is.

  • Single (?) agent: Hero.
  • Double agent: Hero secretly working for the League.
  • Triple agent: Hero pretending to be a double agent.

Spinner has his own beliefs, he was unsure about attacking the police during the Yakuza thing because he didn't understand how that was supposed to be apart of making a more just society. He's a Stain fanboy to be sure, but it's not just that.

Back to recent events, I'm pretty sure we're done with the Todoroki family drama for a bit; this was just to set up more things for later, but was still pretty good. I do wonder if Dabi calling Endeavor by his real name is going to stick with him, it's doubtful that happens to heroes very often, might make him wonder about certain things. Dabi seemed really frantic about it too.

He also seems pretty adamant about calling them "TODOROKI Shouto" and "TODOROKI Enji"…

Something I didn't notice at first is that Dabi also has the burns/scars on his back too.

I wonder if those burns and crafts are from him trying desperately to get more powerful with his fire and it resulted in immediate disaster

Or that it went horribly right with a price for blue flames

Well, I could see Hawks dying later on now. I'm not going to say it's terribly likely, but I'm not going to discount the possibility either.

Not really sure what happens next. We've already had a breather arc before this, but I don't think we're going to do anything super serious one right after this either. Which probably means the next arc will be a school arc that's not super dangerous, but is still important for the students' progression.

@Slimcoder Well guys with burned marks and scars tend to be smexy as hell. Why do you think so many teenage girls on Tumblr & Deviant Art would make fanart of Jeff the Killer?

On Hawks, wow he ia definitely pulling an Aqualad here. Lets hope he doesn’t get placed in a coma by a telepath.

And on the next arc, well that is a good question. I would say it won’t be a big story changing event arc like the current arc but not a big break like the Cultural Festival arc. I definitely can see it being something related to school, but the question is what exactly?

Technically Aqualad was only a double agent. Hawks is a triple agent.

My previous statements aside, I still can't help but hope for some shipping/relationship development stuff soon. Because for some odd reason I've become more attached to shipping here than I usually am for this kind of thing (or really, most media).

[up]That's not how that works. He's a hero by day, positioning himself to be secretly working for the League, but really still working for the heroes. Triple.

Being on one side (for Hawk Hero) is not being an agent, just normal behaviour. Switching to the other side (League) and spying on the first (Hero) is simple agent, pretending to work for the second side (League) while still being loyal to the first (Hero) and spying on the second is double agent. So as far as i understand Hawk is a double agent.

Yeah, triple agent is someone who is actually working for third faction while pretending to be double agent for two factions [lol]

Anyway, I disagree with Hawks reveal being rushed, because it would be really cliche to end chapter on the reveal and then drag it out until "Oh my god he was actually good guy!" reveal

EDIT: Actually decided to take wikipedia's stance on what tripple agent is:

"A triple agent is an agent who has been turned into a double agent, who is then wittingly or unwittingly turned again against the rival organization or nation that initially turned them into a double agent. "

So Hawks would be triple agent if he defects to Villain side, as long he is still working for Heroes he is double agent

Actually that makes Hawks a triple agent from the Villains perspective. They think they've turned him into a double agent working against the Heroes, but he's actually working against them.

I think the fact that the Heroes know what he's doing means he can only be a double agent for them, or something, it's all very confusing once you start getting into the I Know You Know I Know

Things could still get ugly if Hawks gets set-up by the League and arranges it so Endeavor catches Hawks red-handed while interacting with Dabi in the underhand dealings.

And if Hawks is forbidden from telling anyone about his double-play, what can he really do that won't bust him to either the hero side or the villain side in that kind of situation?

As said, things could still get ugly here... and dangerous.

Being on one side (for Hawk Hero) is not being an agent, just normal behaviour.

Yeah, and normal behavior is being an agent. Most double agents aren't really double agents via that line of thinking.

I think a thing is that Hawks is not a main character

It doesn't make much sense to drag out the reveal that he's actually working for the heroes for reals when he's not going to be showing up all that often

By doing it this way we get insight into what the adults are doing about the league of villains

dou·ble a·gent

noun

noun: double agent; plural noun: double agents

an agent who pretends to act as a spy for one country or organization while in fact acting on behalf of an enemy.

Hawks is pretending to be a spy for the villains, but is actually working for the heroes. By your definition every spy is a double agent, which is wrong.
