The school have hero management courses, right? There hasn't been any students from that course yet.
I'm pretty sure the primary reason that Endeavor and Bakugo are so divisive is because their specific brands of assholery, namely domestic abuse and bullying, hit way closer to home for most people because of how realistic they are. Most people haven't been the victims of having their city leveled by a giant fireball or having their whole family slain by ninja.
I would love to see some of the actual hero classes. As in, classroom stuff related to the profession rather than the field exercises. Stuff like how to properly fill out your Hero Insurance paperwork and file a claim when you cause collateral damage, how to do the hero equivalent of a police report after capturing someone, etc.

Reaction Image RepositoryVegeta was also an abusive father and people kind of ignore that :C
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Vegeta did kind of mellow out on that front after the Cell Saga. Kind of.
Disgusted, but not surprisedProbabaly cause the negative effects it should have on his son & wife are rather nonexistent.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Very least the one time I can remember Vegeta actively hitting his (present day) child was a sparring match he overreacted to.

There was also that time he knocked Trunks out (and Goten too) to make sure they wouldn't interfere when he blew himself up in a (vain) attempt to stop Buu.
And while he tried to make excuses for himself after hitting Trunks in that sparring match, his reaction made it clear that even he realizes he fucked up.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHence overreacted.
Part of Izuku's training is learning to be his own person. Trying to copy All Might's catchphrase won't work; he'll just come off as a fanboy pretender.
I'm aware of why Endeavor and Bakugo might hit closer to home for a lot of people, but I also think the line of though that assumes the things the actual villains do aren't the type of things that actually happen in real life is mistaken.
Serial killers are real. Mass murderers are real. And, ironically, often enough they get the same "they're just misunderstood/had a bad life" treatment that people actually give the villains of the story.
Which isn't to say that I don't think the villains can't or shouldn't be pitied or sympathized with. It's just, well, I don't like the way some people try and use their pasts as if that somehow makes them less villainous, because it doesn't.
Whatever happened with Dabi and (probably) Endeavor doesn't change the fact that the former has remorselessly murdered who knows how many people now, or that he has no plans to stop.

I'm guessing it's because the people who make those excuses for real life mass murderers and serial killers usually haven't actually lost anyone to a mass murderer or a serial killer. It's still not personal enough for them.
Disgusted, but not surprisedSo I was going to mention some things that would make you lose further hope in humanity, but I'll just go with "the extent to which some people like and idolize real-life serial killers is terrifying" and call it a day.
There's even a term for it: Hybristophilia.
Disgusted, but not surprisedHuh and I was reading the page for that Zac Efron movie where he plays infamous serial killer Ted Bundy & it mentions Netflix telling people to stop being attracted to him.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."God i'm having flashbacks to people arguing Bakugo's bullying is worse than mass murder. And yes, in my experience it's bullied people who react so strongly.
Investing in stories is fine, but such a strong reaction to fiction cannot be healthy.

I mean, I've been bullied in the past too. But I'm still able to keep a sense of perspective.
Disgusted, but not surprisedTo be fair it's Zac Efron, of course people are going to be attracted to him. Many already were.
But he is playing a serial killer rapist (At least I recall Bundy was also a rapist) who got away with his crimes for a long time especially due to his good looks.
So people still attracted to the character even after the movie are kinda missing the point especially when they take their attraction too far via desiring the actual real life murderer.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Humans love crazy.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. As far as I'm aware, Bundy already had plenty of fangirls back in his day.
As did Manson and Breivik. Yeah, the murderous cult leader and the guy who shot up a summer camp got groupies.
Some people just like crazy and evil.

Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's not true that All Girls Want Bad Boys, but the ones that do, they like them as bad as they come.
The people that get obsessed with serial killers usually come in three flavors
1) They think they can fix them. These people usually notice that the background of the serial killer is sympathetic and think that if hypothetically if they had a good person in their life they could change them. I notice this is a very common attitude towards Dabi in the MHA fandom.
2) Violent folks that want to copycat. Ted Bundy for some reason has incel fanboys for example. I guess the best example of this in the fandom might be Stain considering how many idiots I saw back in the day that wanted him to actually kill Iida for making an understandable mistake out of mourning
3) Shippers, just shippers. These people think that by pairing someone whom does horrid shit with an hero or whatever character they choose that love will fix them. Dabihawks is a very popular ship in the fandom due to this

The fan-tendency to Leather Pants villains does amuse me.
Makes me want to experiment by creating a villain character & see the concept work in action.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I like the idea of a PR arc. It's something I have been thinking about for a while. Like, maybe characters will get some minor redesigns to make them more marketable and etc.
