Plus it be good for the other students to actually fight villains.
Sure its good that Ochako is becoming a Judo master but we should see her using those moves on attacking villains, not her classmates during exercises.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."She disarmed and pinned Toga during the forest battle
Heart of StoneOn the topic of Toga's sexuality, Horikoshi has apparently basically confirmed her as bisexual. So that's a thing. Not sure if he's intentionally going for the Depraved Bisexual trope or not, but I could see some discomfort with that.

Since he mostly successfully averted Unfortunate Implications with Magne by having a heroic trans person in Tiger, I think that just revealing any heroic character as LGB by making MiriTama canon would fix that.
I mean, that article itself notes that it's might not necessarily be sexual in nature, or even romantic as we'd normally think of it. Like I said before, it's more that she develops some sort of obsession with certain individuals and it just doesn't happen to be limited by gender. I'm not sure that would really equate to bisexuality, as it's normally understood (especially because if we're being technical, I'm pretty sure that it would make her pansexual, as I doubt being nonbinary would reduce her obsession at all).

Reaction Image RepositoryShe is Hemophiliac.
She’d love Yharnam.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah, I'm not too eager to classify Toga as "bisexual" as we conmonly know it. She's clearly not right in the head, and her "obsession" might not be the same thing as the average person's "love".
Depraved Bisexual exist for a reason
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Now I want to see a fanfic where Toga becomes a hunter and goes to Yharnam.
...She would definitely fit right in.
I get why people might dislike it, but it just makes more sense from a writing perspective to not limit her potential vicitms to just half the population.
People don't dislike that trope for her persay, people dislike that trope more for the fact the vast majority of bisexuals in media tend to be that trope which negatively stigmatizes bisexuals IRL.
Some people either associate bisexuals with that trope or think they don't exist and are just in denial of being straight or gay. Hell even the LGBT community is known to sometimes be discriminatory towards bisexuals (and transgender people but thats a whole different can of worms).
I think the author is going with the wrong terminology. Shes an hemophile. I don't think what gender she prefers has anything to do with it, she just really likes blood.

Yes, some people think that bisexuals are only pretending to be bisexual and are actually closeted homosexual people.

Disgusted, but not surprisedThen there's the people on the opposite end of the spectrum.
When asked on the topic of Toga being bisexual, I've seen one person respond with the words "I hope she isn't because that would make this manga more degenerate than it already is."

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."He can't be using the wrong terminology when he didn't use any terminology, he just said she "falls in love with certain people" and it doesn't matter whether they're a boy or a girl.
Whether that means she's attracted to both, or is just gender blind because blood fetish, I could see arguments for both.
Edited by LSBK on Apr 22nd 2019 at 12:44:01 PM
I mean, there exists an argument that says the distinction between 'bisexual' and 'gender blind' isn't an enormously important one.
"Canada Day is over, and now begins the endless dark of the Canada Night."Huh, I'm curious. Does that person say anything more about the "degeneracy"? Tiger and Magne?
No it was just about the Toga thing. The thread is titled "Is Toga bi or pan sexual?" so it was straight to the point.
The first several posters you can easily describe as a combination of homophobic & looking for any reason to crap on the series.
Ya know what for fun let me post some of the comments from there.
"Do people actually care what a "FICTIONAL CHARACTER'S" sexual orientation is? Man we've gone downhill as humans if that's the case."
"Why would anyone care about that? — This is one of the reason why the 'bnha' community turned into one of the worst communities there is atm. 16 years olds forcing themselves to be pansexual or whatever to be different or 'extra' in a way. Besides the fact that in general I have nothing against those people but this is just screaming for attention in my opinion. (Sorry if I hurt anyone)" Oh yeah look at this one, gee like saying sorry makes up for blatantly horribly insulting people (sarcasm).
"She's neither. She being revealed to be so would feel very forced and out of left field."

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Good to know alt-righters are in this community too. God that is the most canned examples of homophobia (or I guess biphobia?) disguised as concern trolling I have seen in a fandom in awhile.
Kind of amusing to me as the art side of BNHA, which is the side I usually stay in, is drowning in LGBT ships.

It's the internet; neither of those things surprises me.
As M84's sig says. I am not surprised, just disgusted.
It's depressing, actually.
Since the haters are choosing to project their hatred towards a specific aspect of human nature upon a fictional character just to get an outlet for their own selfish beliefs, it just spreads a bad mood to others that they can keep to themselves.
Love is far more than mere physical attraction after all, and Toga, (imop) is a pure spirit that loves others purely as well, regardless of who or what they are.
In terms of the four loves, she would be pegged in the category of "Agape" (Since her love is stronger than "Storge", deeper than "Philia" and purer than "Eros") and since she is in love with "Love" itself, the question of her sexuality becomes moot, since she doesn't seem tuned that way towards her objects of affection.
She's a "soul" in love with "souls".
(Yes, this is all a personal opinion of mine, I know it, but I find the subject interesting.)

You have an interesting view of purity there. Though I suppose it works in the same way it did for Harm

Aah, the Imnotbuts, a fascinating alt-right variant.
Otherwise… I read the character file linked in the article, and Horikoshi doesn't use the technical term "bisexual". Just "danjo kamawazu?" ("regardless of gender?")
And I mean… I don't see what's surprising. She was very clearly into Ochaco too.

Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I mean we have a page for Pure Is Not Good.

I hope we go back to the internships after this. Now that Bakugo and Todoroki have their provisional licenses it seems like a good time.
And I want some of the others to start theirs, even if we never really focus on them.
