So how does going dead and blind remove the situation Ayers and Hope have on Empress at all? Hope is still leveraging a ton or so of herself on Empress and since they still have their sense of touch and balance I figure she and Ayers would both notice if she moved at all.

Here's Hierophant.

• Name: Icarus Kane
• Gender: M
• Age: 22
• Birthday: Finem 8
• Race: Half-Hawk Faunus on his Dad's side.
• Appearance: As seen on the right with his girlfriend.◊ Icarus typically wears longcoats that hide small vestigial wings and is naturally bald, but he also has a scruffy beard of feathers and distinctly hawkish features that mark him as a half-breed.
• Weapons and Equipment: Kane's Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is a sledgehammer. The shaft is about four feet long, and carries a huge rectangular head. Kane loads cartridges from industrial nailguns sideways into the head such that when he swings down he can pull a trigger on the hilt and fire a nail into his target. On people with Aura the nails only penetrate half an inch or so into the forcefield and just sort of hang there.
• Semblance: Kane's semblance is Power. This Semblance draws a sliver of his Aura out of him whenever he attacks with it on. These bits of his Aura drive into any fractures in a structure and lend his weapon extra smashing power, causing weaknesses and wounds to get massively worse.
• Personality: Kane is out there and he's proud about it. Possessed of a minor persecution complex, he sees many people as out to get him for even minor criticisms. He believes that if someone really loves something they'll get it out there and share it with the world; he's doing the same with his work in Arcana, and believes in this approach to life as the be-all and end-all of philosophy. He fights because that's the method that always gets people to listen, as opposed to the less successful track record talking has. In this way he also often sees himself as a philosopher-king or an enlightened despot. He sees Arcana's work as a gateway to an enlightened society, and himself as a figure to reach people other members of Arcana might not be able to—people who want society to stay orderly and sane after their takeover, for one thing. Whenever engaging in terror acts, he also tries to make sure he gets a good speech out that lets everyone know what's up with Arcana, what they plan to do, and how the average citizen can help their cause.
• Bio: Icarus's father was a great orator, Shawn Hove. He was taught from an early age that if he wanted the world to change he'd have to do it himself. Anyone who said they couldn't clearly wasn't trying hard enough; as a corollary to Hove's statement he pointed out that regardless of what you're good at you can turn that talent towards making the world a better place. Icarus was good at fighting, and for awhile he worked for a bunch of different people: mercenaries, outskirt farm villages, and even for awhile The White Fang. He saw Arcana, however, as a group with a little better rep that he could really see himself working with. He joined up with them a few years ago because he knew they were the kind of people who were really bent on spreading a message.
