…Wow. That’s sounds like an interesting take.
I doubt we’re gonna see where they go with it, but time will tell.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire. This HAS to be an April fools joke.

Scrappy being a villain is so passé at this point.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"This is something a fanfic writer would write and it won't justify the bullshit of last season nor what this season has cooking.
It's been 3000 years…Getting huge Riverdale energy from that spoiler.
I.E it's dumb, makes no sense, and feels like the writers throwing shit at the wall and seeing if any sticks.
There's less than zero interest in Velma this time. I didn't even realize season 2 had come out. There's no discussion about it anywhere.
Oissu! No, I will NOT take this insult to Fanfic writers. They are MUCH better than this.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Okay, I mean troll fic writers.
It's been 3000 years…Even that is not a just comparison, lets just say My Inner Life tier writing.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.It mostly just hits me as something someone who only really has a surface impression of the franchise would write. Like, it’s an easy low hanging fruit jab at a popular but actually not all that accurate meme about the franchise.
So it’s unsurprising, given that “only based on surface impressions of the franchise” has always been one of this show’s things.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. If that’s all true, then go figure that they veto having Scooby in the show…and then turn around and include Scrappy for yet another tired old Take That, Scrappy! joke. It’s not even clever at this point.
Even putting all that aside, having Scrappy in the show is going make Scooby’s absence even more noticeable.

"Don't worry, Lucian, we'll make it through this."Scooby is lucky to miss this shitshow, honestly.
Wake me up at your own risk.Ironically having scrappy be the villain and killing Velma might be beneficial for his reputation
Uni catThere's no "might" about it: Scrappy got REDEEMED. Or at the very least Velma was the Scrappy this time.
Robin: Don't ever ask me to dock with you again. Serious...x4 That's definitely how Velma struck me—as the Scooby show you'd get from someone who'd heard of Scooby-Doo and was familiar with it by reputation but never actually watched it.
Honestly, with Scrappy, having already been Rescued from the Scrappy Heap as a result of Character Perception Evolution, now becoming even more popular thanks to him killing Velma, I think The Scrappy and Rescued from the Scrappy Heap should probably get new names at this point.

We will see how it pans out…
I’m sure there’s a thread for it.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Apparently, one of the Hex Girls returned, Thorn, and already people are pissed how much older she is. I do give credit for Jennifer Hale returning.
Also, I kind of wish other characters from the DTV series were used again. Personally I have an idea for a reimagining of Baseball Bill and Phantom Virus/Spindly Johnny from Cyber Chase, because those two would definitely need reinvention.
Take the concept of a sociopathic computer whiz creating a sapient digital monster, and play it way less goofier.
For one the Virus would actually grow and evolve the more data he absorbs, into potentially an evil cyber god. He'd still have baseball puns as a quirk, but he'd also be smarter and take full advantage of his technopathic abilities. Think XANA with the Joker's sense of humor.
As for Bill, the issue of him putting his baseball fixation into the Virus is because the Virus is based on his own brain patterns. The creature is a psychopathic sports fan because he represents the side of Mc Lemore he's always kept hidden. His inferiority complex, his secret resentment of Eric, and the longing for power and respect he's always felt denied.
Unlike the movie, the two would be working together because Spindly sees Bill as his father and Bill would be the more strategic in developing ways for his creation to wreck havoc. He'd also plot to thwart Mystery Inc in the physical world as their intellectual rival.
"I am the lord of Purity, who tolerates no deviation." My first online storyAgain, if any of you are good for comics, there is the still new ongoing The Batman & Scooby-Doo Mysteries.
Phoebe and Her Unicorn thread: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=16104243270A34144300I'm surprised that no one noticed that Velma's second season is already out. I don't hear anyone talking about the second season. I guess season 1 was so bad that not many people want to watch the second season.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I'm really amused by how some people just call the Cyberchase villain Spindly Johnny.
It's been 3000 years…The monster girls from Ghoul School genuinely might be one of the biggest cases of Ensemble Dark Horse when it comes to Scooby. It's weird Warner never really tried capitalizing on them beyond a O.K K.O crossover of all things.
Yeah, I'm curious about why they never brought back the girls from Scooby-Doo and the Ghoul School. They were probably the most well remembered aspect of that special.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!There were SO many great characters from the movies. Simone and Lena, Crystal, Ravencroft... their stories were all legitimately a lot deeper than you'd expect from this franchise.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."At this point, I think The Scrappy trope might need to be renamed. It's kind of an outdated name by now.
"Still smarter than a bus driver."
No intention on hatewatching Velma, but people that did have found that It ends with Scrappy Doo as the main villain, who kills Velma, and then Velma's Ghost kills him, and she's now a ghost for the rest of the series if it gets a Season 3. Also, a truer more accurate version of both Velma and Daphne Cameo walking by this shows version of Velma and Daphne as if to add insult to injury how the two are basically nothing like Velma or Daphne from the past.
