But geez, I wish someone did an English dub for that OVA. I know someone already did, but I'm guessing people want to pretend that never happened?

To talk about something Getter Robo-related, I'm really considering getting a Super Robot Chogokin (SRC) figure of either Shin Getter 1
or Classic Getter 1 in the near future.
Shin Getter 1 looks imposing and badass, but I'm concerned about its size and the prices it's going for on Amazon.
Classic Getter 1's starting to grow on me, but I think I'm gonna have to see some in-hand images before I make any final decisions.
Anybody having any thoughts regarding the upcoming SRC Classic Getter 1?

@SRC Getter-1: It's actually pretty good. Way more articulation than the Revoltech Getter-1, has green plastic for the glowy/reflective bits, and an interchangeable Getter Beam aperture for the gut.
Shin VS Neo, while a fairly basic OVA, has been pretty good to watch.
Devolution is nice but needs more chapters, also FRAGMENT OF EMPEROR. I suspect the Fragment itself can transform into an actual Getter, but will not do so until the current Getter in-story gets wrekt.
Where do the Dino-Getter figures come into play? Some unelaborated alt. timeline?

Not sure. I don't know where to find any Getter Robo manga.
That being said, the link I put up earlier in the thread seems to be dead. I'm assuming it's Stoner Sunshine because... well, it's Stoner Sunshine.
Since I said I'd like to put up the entire fight anyway, and since it turns out a clip of just that one part isn't on Youtube anyway, here we go bitches!
x2 Now that you mentioned that, I’m not sure myself if there was a localization of the original manga series. I may have missed it while browsing the manga section in my local bookstore, but I could be confusing it with Devilman who, I believe, just recently gain english releases due to the popularity of the recent anime.
So basically the only way, at least from what I know of, to enjoy this series is read scanlations from sites or but a raw copy of the volumes and hope your Japanese is good enough (side note I should FOR REAL, learn Japanese especially since I browse on sites like Pixiv and watch NJPW).

The reason I asked is because I wanted to request my local Comic store to order some Getter Robo manga, but if none of it's been translated and localized yet then I don't really see much of a point. I would love to be able to read a physical Getter Robo manga, though.

Yeah, as far as I know, the only way to read a physical copy of the series is in the original Japanese language. And unless you know Japanese or just want to collect them to be that asshole who say “Yeah I Spent over $50 For This Old Ass Manga” (the latter of which actually fits in line to my reasons why my next eBay purchase will be that), I say the only way to read the stories is through translations found on the internet.
Honestly this makes me wish that Netflix produce a new Getter Robo anime in a similar vein as Devilman Crybaby, because chances are that will influence manga publishers to release English translations of the original, G and Go.
Getter Robo Devolution just released its first volume, with the second set later in this month.
