I like Marduk's beard & Armor King looks great as usual.
I'm very disappointed with the direction they're taking with Julia. Feels like they're trying to make her more like D.Va but I'm just more disappointed that they completely the whole Jaycee schtick.
Oh boy, Negan. Christ, what else can be say about the guy? Honestly, he looks very straight forward & bit worse than I imagine. I'm just wondering how Gon, of all characters, was better guest character than Negan is.
My friend still follows the Walking Dead & when I showed him Negan being in the game back at the EVO reveal he was incredibly indifferent about it. He went as far as to say "If I ever decide to buy Tekken, it will be because of Akuma & that one guy from King of Fighters before Negan". I really don't know if I should be proud of him or be somewhat disappointed that Bamco's plan isn't working as well like I thought it should.
Negan wouldn't nearly work as well in MK as people are making that out to be. I'm also the guy who thought Leather Head was a stupid choice
Frank is a much better choice than Negan because at least Dead Rising has the opportunity to be silly. Frank isn't bad choice at all but there's a lot of Capcom characters that are better & I rather have.
Well appropriately enough, yes given his name does translate into "Tekken". Frankly the only reason he's a bad choice is because he's a comic book character.
Why not?
So what are people's thoughts on Julia's apparent re-tool?
It's only a few moments, and it's possible she's just hamming it up for the camera (girl has also been a wrestler, so it's not like she doesn't know how), but I admit I expect there to be some concerns over de-railing her character.
One Strip! One Strip!Might help to have more context to what she is doing exactly since I could still line up with what she has been doing already depending on the context.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaKenny would be a better TWD rep than Negan.
Don’t like the Negan inclusion. Don’t really care about Walking Dead at this point sadly. Felt too tryhard to be intimidating and badass
For the same reason why I thought Leather Head was a stupid choice. If Negan is going to be in any video games series on top of my head Left 4 Dead is the series that's best for him
Who dat & why would he be better than Daryl? Everyone knows who Daryl is
I wish I would of watched the grand finals live. Not only did a Panda win, he came back from Losers, too. That's nuts.
He always makes posts like that. He's a huge troll and you really shouldn't take his twitter presence seriously.
People were flipping out before Tekken 7 came out on consoles about him excluding Roger Jr. thanks to PETA but he was just full of shit like he always is.

Apparently the person Harada called out has been getting death threats over this? If that's true, then even if Harada is just messing around, someone else is dealing with a lot of harassment what appears to be a joke image that happened to cause Harada to come up with this tweet.

Couldn't quite parse what you were trying to say with that.
Is someone getting harassed over Harada's response to their tweet, or is Harada responding to the harassment someone was already getting?

The former. I'm going by what the comments in that Reddit link were saying, btw.

That's unfortunate. He says a lot of things people have taken deathly seriously mostly as jokes, and it's led to all kinds of controversies like this, like when people whined about Lucky Chloe and he threatened to replace her with some bald headed tough guy in the western releases.
That didn't amount to anything, but at least a dozen different publications and youtubers reported on it like it was gospel.
Good video on why Negan just doesn't work in Tekken.
TLDW: it's because contextually he's never been about fighting. He's a bully who preys on weaker survivors who can't fight back, but by virtue of Tekken being a fighting game, no one is afraid of him and everyone can fight back, so he's neither scary nor effective. Since TWD is a live action, mostly grounded show, he also has no distinctive moves, stances, or animations to draw from.
Kenny is a major character from Telltale's The Walking Dead, an adventure video game where you makes choices to shape the context of the planned narrative. He's one of the most popular and distinctive characters in said game, so as far as brand recognition goes he'd serve the same advertisement role as Negan is trying to do. And as a character who originated in a videogame he'd be an easier sell for a crossover, and he does plenty of fighting in said game.
Everyone & their mothers already knows why Negan is a god awful choice. There's only one guy on this thread that's been defending him & everyone else has been either angry or indifferent about him. Why would I need some youtuber to validate my opinion?
A good analysis can give you points that could help you better articulate your opinion.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."So, basically make you more pompous?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Pretty much.
Why else would you read reviews if not to look for more ways to talk shit?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And honestly I just like that guy's videos in general.
It is funny how hard they're selling Negan in his debut video. Given we've seen Tekken characters of all stripes dodge bullets, punch out gigantic magma boulders, take out attack helicopters and survive rocket barrages it's hard to put Negan in the same category as them. And then he's introduced having captured a dozen of them with them at his mercy.
Given I don't watch The Walking Dead though he might as well be a Tekken original to me. I can parse him as that.
Your reply actually surmised why I don't have much of an interest in reviews anymore. Thank you.

The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
I'm sure he is, but I really don't need someone to point out the obvious for me.
After Tekken Tag 2 I've come just distrust game critics in general. I'm not even all that crazy about Tekken but Tag 2 has an absurdly large amount of content & barely anyone gives it the praise it really deserves. Not that it didn't still get solid reviews but the way it was reviewed it just sounded like your typical fighting game.
Looks like Muay Thai to me. He uses his fists a lot but that doesn't mean it's not kickboxing. For a psychotic cyborg his fighting style isn't even that flashy or over the top.
