We should have seen this coming. When explorers don't get enough funding (and they never do), they find other ways to profit.

I love Trond. It's too bad we won't be seeing much of him for the majority of the story (once the team is actually out in the Silent World).

Question: has anybody else noticed the Fridge Horror involved with the thought that Emil is basically being hurled into the Silent World by his aunt and uncle to either sink or swim (with the likely expectation for him to sink without trace)? Worse: do his parents (if alive) actually know? Just to compound things, said aunt and uncle are also quite willing to chuck their Finnish cousins (by whatever degree) under that particular bus, too?

How many on that academic board are tossing their various extended family and work-place Black Sheep into this project?

It has been noticed and commented on. I think Trond is the only one of the backers who didn't decide to just toss some naive and trusting relative into the jaws of the silent world.

Having said that... he seems to be operating under the assumption that it's OK as long as his representative makes it back with loot, sod the rest.

How is another question: Sigrun behind the wheel of Catank for extended periods? Never going to work unless she's been paying more attention to how Tuuri drives it that she seems to be doing.

There might be hope for Emil learning... On second thought, maybe not. <_< Wrapping it around a tree might all too easily happen. Even at that slow pace.

Only 90% of the latest chapter left until I start waiting for updates. I dare to say this comic is purr-fect.

And speaking of purr-fect, who else thinks that Lalli is a cat/human hybrid?

Since it updates 5 days a week I kind of sort of expected more discussion hereside.

Most discussion actually happens in the Diqus comments. You can spot the troopers, though.

I am guessing that the book Lalli found will turn out to be the important one. Also, most of the books are probably in Danish.

It will be most unfortunate if that book turns out to be a hardcopy of The Best of I Can Has Cheezburger.
