Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtI asked this in the Ukraine thread but it's probably more appropriate here.
Assuming this actually does lead to Prigozhin controlling Russia, what might that look like? Does he have any administrative competence outside of war crimes and catering? (In particular, would he continue Putin's approach to avoiding discontent or organised opposition in Moscow? It sounds like he's pretty focused on Ukraine and the military.)
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeablePersonally, I think even if he succeeds in his coup (huge if), he'll probably lose control rather quickly.

"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"
I feel that this corrupt oligarch, mercenary chief, and ex-convict will be worse for Russia than Putin.
Still, in the unlikely event of his victory, he may end the war with Ukraine in order to solidify his power on the home front.
The good news is that the "special operation" in Ukraine is going to suffer, whoever is the winner.

Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtThe guy's criticizing the oligarchs, but he's criticizing them because he thinks Russia needs to hypermilitarize, shove the entire population into the meat grinder and turn into North Korea to win the Ukraine war, as well as some theoretically-decent but in practice not ideas like nationalizing the oligarchs' wealth "for the people."
Basically, he's spouting Nazbol rhetoric. Not an improvement over Putin.

Mind you it is good for Ukraine no matter who wins well the conflict is on. Kind of hard to keep positions when your having to fight two fronts.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Meduza: Kadyrov called Prigozhin's mutiny a "betrayal" and a "stab in the back" on his Telegram channel. Note that he'd already called Prigozhin out for disrupting the war effort over the past few weeks, despite the two's history of publicly amiable relations.

Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtWrong link.
Already fixed.
Every Hero has his own way of eating yogurtYou know the prince actually does mention that This is why you don't trust mercenaries. Their loyalty is only to the buck.

Kadirov, the Chechen leader is with Putin.
OBJECTION!historically when mercs started getting uppidy the solution was to hire another company to take out the first one,and then the enemy starts paying the mercs who've turned against you so you suddenly have a war on two fronts
New theme music also a box
Honestly, no surprise. Kadyrov pretty relies on Putin's regime to stay in power himself.
He's basically a regional warlord and the population of his fiefdom hates him.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.https://hvg.hu/vilag/20230624_racz_andras_oroszorszag_vlagyimir_putyin_jevgenyij_prigozsin
Andras Racz, a "Russia expert" from my country (Hungary, the article is in Hungarian), says that Prigozhin doesn't have much chance until the Russian elite, the National Guard and the state media takes his side.
I think he will fail too, but Putin is at his weakest right now.

OBJECTION!Yeah, but that requires looking into the Prince as more than just "Machiavellian manipulator" and "tis better to be feared than loved," no one actually seems to care about the rest of the treatise
Silence is golden, noise is platinum. Keelah se'laiI would say that the part with mercenaries is one of the more known ones.
Also, the "better feared to be loved" thing is incorrect - it's more that you should strive to be feared IF you can't be loved (and you also should avoid being hated at all costs).
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.BBC has a news video regarding Putin's speech.
Note that he blames the information network of "the West" as well. Well that and he seems to try to call for unity.

I've seen that the worse case scenario for Russia is that this encourages separatist movements across Russia to act up. Of course, people have been predicting this will happen ever since the War in Ukraine started so who knows at this point.
Hoenstly either way it's a disaster. Russia will have to pull back at least a decent amount of their forces from Ukraine to deal with this or any in the future.
And rostov is a major supply link for Russia in the war. Having to destroy it's resources will cripple that front.

Not sure on this moment. Civilians are helping Wagner contractors by giving them food/water. They didn't stop them.
