First Visit:
- You have been asked out on a date. With a musket in your face, you cannot refuse.
- Heart-pounding, heart-healing, heart-fluttering excitement- Okay, this park's a dumpnote . And I liked how...enthusiastic Isuzu was being.
- Don't mess with Muffle, lest you want a good sock to the stomach.
- Seiya was a child actor, huh? Wonder what happened...
- I am convinced that Isuzu and Mami frequent the same gun shop.
Nice opening act. I'll be staying until the curtain comes down.
Mind-blowing, indeed.

Yep, just the first book, so we're in ultra compression-expansion mode here.
KYOANI YA BASTARDS AND YER TEASING ME WITH BONTA-KUN.
Seeing how I don't see any of the three part-timers being listed in the anime website's character roster, it really does look like the anime will be limited to the first volume. Doesn't help that a lot of the later side-stories would be a bit out of context, requires the part-timers, or don't seem to quite fit the tense mood that's the first volume, so maybe besides the promotional video story, they might not be of much use in padding things out.
Kinda expected Moffle to have a deeper voice, since a lot of his lines are something a man in his 30s would say. Then again I guess he is supposed to be a cute mascot character so he can't sound too gruff.
Also noticed Latifah doesn't appear to be blind. Anime original ending where she gets struck blind at the end?

So today I started watching the batch of new anime I downloaded. Starting with Trinity Seven. In a few seconds, the hack writing and Cliché Storm OP made me cry "GET THIS EIGHTH-GRADER SHIT AWAY FROM ME!". Then I open this Amagi Brilliant Park, and, from the first few frames, I can see that this is quality animation. Then the Mami Musket got my curiosity. Then Bonta-kun got my attention. Then it went on getting more and more awesome and hilarious. Every single moment was good. The pacing. The designs. The camera work. This is True Art. I'm fucking in.
Also, I thought it was suspcicious that his name is pronounced "Kanye"...
Hopefully we'll soon get enough character shots that a parody of this might be feasible:

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. And a new episode for a new week!
I'll leave it to others to comment on detail, but things slow down quite a bit to allow for some more exposition... And that ending, LOL Seiya, that ENDING.
Kurisu Takaya = Chris Tucker
Man this is getting funny as hell.
Kyoani is still doing its darndest to sidestep Latifa being blind or not. She sure didn't act blind to me, that's for sure.
I'm guessing she's just... not blind? Why would they need to sidestep it if they're just removing it? Adjust other plot points as necessary, although I can't say what those would be.
Latifa's blindness was one of those symptoms that she was dying from magic starvation. At least, that's how the manga played it.
That aside... Man, I was expecting Moffle's voice to be, I dunno, manly? I did NOT expect Kawasumi Ayako however.
In other words totally irrelevant except insofar as it makes her seem even more weak and helpless? Yeah, they can cut that out no problem.

Nah I think they are going to save it for a future reveal, the way she was animated certainly hinted at it.
But blindness just seems so much more poignant than the usual "Oh I have the cough of death and I tire and faint easily"!
Now has a page (or rather, I had the format saved months ago, but just pasted it on the site tonight). It needs filling. Especially since I'm going to be busy with more series 6 review tonight at work.
It just occurred to me that because this show will only cover the first chapter, we likely won't see Seiya's goals for the park come to fruition! :(
Blindness in cartoons can be presented very subtly depending on how the character has a handle on living that way. I only saw sporadic Avatar episodes, so it took me months to figure out Toph was blind! Yeah, I'm slow.

The first book not the first chapter. The current plot should come to a head at the end of the season, probably with them fitting filler So L stuff with the Faeries and co in the middle.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but so far aren't there a couple of differences with the anime?
We could be talking chuu2 levels of novel faithfulness at best.
Quite. Not only is Latifa's condition deliberately not played up, but the number of people the park needs and the time limit is much longer too — 100k versus 250k, and two weeks versus 3 months. Not to say that 3 months doesn't go by quickly, but the original two weeks kind of ramped up the desperation factor.
The time factor and more guests is probably the balance out that we will have 9~ episodes on this vs 1 book, we will have Kyoani filler in it possibly elements taken from future books but made to fit the current situation like the fairies treatment so far.
At this rate, if it's 3 months for 250k instead of 2 weeks for 100k, I'm not sure if they're going to need Kanie to pull off his little "miracle" at the end. They're already going at about almost 2k guests a day before Kanie came, and a quick calculation shows that they only need to average 3k a day to reach 250k in 83 days. Now, assuming the numbers in the first episode was on a weekend, some improvements are definitely going to need to be made to pull in more guests, but at least it is a lot doable than 100k in 2 weeks (aka more than 7.5k a day)

The main difference I noticed from manganese are the elemental fairies. I wonder what's even the point of adding something like that.
Eye candy as well as they sing the ending song. Bet ya money at least 1 of the upcoming filler episodes will be focused on them.
The mascot trio are the best part of the show. For one thing, they are quick to resort to violence.
I thought it was confirmed that the main plot is just going to be the first book?
