Up to what part did the anime adapt anyway? And if they do decided to make another anime I sincerely hope it's higher quality.
It ended at the beginning of the Galo invasion. They basically sniped and shot at the intruders for about 15 minutes before the show cut off for who knows how long. It's a shame that they didn't include Katori Squad's intro since I really wanted to see the color of their uniform.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.Oh man, that's a weird place to stop. Well, like I mentioned, if they do the anime again they should up the quality. Galoupoula Arc is on par with the Large-Scale invasion honestly.
New chapter out! End of the the match against Ikoma and Ouji units.
Kuga gets taken out!
Good news everybody, World Trigger will be coming back in SJ on 29 October
…and move to Jump SQ from December on. Which makes you wonder why they don't just move it right away.
Anyway, good news for the fans!
But man, it's quite eerie how the activity on this thread abruptly stopped after the last chapter.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I believe Ashihara planned out the upcoming rank fight as a weekly thing, so it's already setup with that format. Either way, it's so good to have the series coming back.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Another (assumed) reason is to finish volume 19 with chapters released in SJ, so that volume 20 can be a fresh start with chapters released in Jump SQ.
Hey, this was one of my favorite Jump shonen back then! This is great, I had given up on it returing...
I never gave up hope. But when I saw the update in my feed, I think I leapt for joy. I suppose the move to Square is to give the mangaka extra time per chapter so he doesn't have to work himself to death quite so quickly.
Seriously though, this manga is one of the most underrated ones out there at the moment.
"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."It's really nice to have manga back on a regular basis. Two chapters per month is not bad.
I'm not arguing against Ashihara-sensei having the right to focus on his health above all else.
I just worry that a monthly pace isn't the best thing for a manga about strategic battles. Every month I forget who was in what part of the battlefield, what sidearms they had available, or even who was teamed up with who. This thread should be called "What the heck does Meteor do?"
We're still getting the same great battles and loveable characters, just slower.
Finally posted DB Scarlet Mirror: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13689952930A49781400&page=97#2423Don't know, Fullmetal Alchemist did it ok and it was pretty tightly plotted, with a lot of characters and plot threads that kept mixing, disappearing and reappearing later. I think the author just has to adjust to how the pacing of a monthly manga works.
So, just caught up with this. I feel that it's kind of a one-trick pony as a manga — the characters, plot, designs and worldbuilding aren't particularly outstanding, but the fights are really good. Worth reading on that alone, though the fact that it's 6 years old and the "main" plot thread of getting to the Neighborhood hasn't even started yet is a point against.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Remember there was a huge ass hiatus and that the author could have easily just callled it quits.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Right, it was in hiatus for like 3 years right? Surprised it managed to come back, though binging it all at once all the author comments about his shitty health should've been a tipoff. It's monthly now, correct?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah, it's just that instead of the typical 40-pages monthly chapter, it's two Jump-length chapters each month.
I love it, but I agree that the tournament arc has gone on for too long and the story is way more interesting when the actual main plot gets involved.
I haven't actually started reading this series yet, just skimming the latest chapters out of curiosity because I'm aware of the behind the scenes stuff like the monthly shift.
But how long has this tournament arc been going on, both in chapter-count & year-wise (with and without the hiatus years)?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Over 100 chapters (86 was the first chapter of the arc) and 5 years in real time.
100 chapters...... Goddamn.
Why is it so long?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's actually a pretty good tournament arc, getting into each opponent team's strategy and characters, and forcing the protagonists to face losses and grow from them, so there are pretty good reasons why it's so long.
It's just a less interesting premise than the other arcs.
Mainly because the arc covers 8 matches. The author loves to go into details, introducing the opposing teams, lots of pre-, during and post-match discussions on the tactics of the various teams. There are also some events that take place in between matches.

Yeah it's not the only thing going on but it's still the backdrop. And each match is what, 3-8 chapters or so? Not counting preparation, post-game and in between chapters.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Despite everything World Trigger scored itself a very comfy Top 15 score in the list of 100 Greatest Manga!

I really hope the anime comes back one day. Despite its bad decisions in adaptation Im not a manga guy.
