Ever want to see Rick and Morty do a take on Lone Wolf and Cub?
That's Rick's actual Japanese VA by the way.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! And Mortys even if he doesnt say much.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Number 2 on trending. I found it very mediocre and unnecessary even by Adult Swim standards. It's just there and oozes frustrating anime tropes.
The CG looks pretty bad, too.
It does capture how CGI usually looks in anime shows.
And Rick and Morty isn't going for stylish CG. Something only a few anime has actually achieved.
Like the studio that made Beastars and Land of the Lustrous, aka Zootopia if the animals had real predator-prey issues that don't serve as a perfect 1:1 to human issues and what if rock-boygirl suffered crippling despair as they get broken and put back together over and over thanks to evil Moon People.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I normally drop links and move on but, for those who didn't watch because it was a giant thumbnail in the middle of the page I am telling you - that Whitney Avalon song for Rick and Morty is really good and if you like this show you will get a kick out of it. Don't push it into the "maybe later" bin.
No other contribution to that channel is necessary - but do treat yourself to that song.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Studio DEEN isn't corespondent with with CGI nor is it regarded for it.
Well, don't that beat all?
Return of Snowball! Return of Tammy!
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! There's some The Bus Came Back in that trailer that I really didn't want to see. Viewer beware.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Wish this hadn't been posted on April 1st. Can't tell if this is legit or a prank on their part.
Disgusted, but not surprisedHey new clip.
Damn this is out of season. Guess its always Christmas somewhere in the multiverse.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."What.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Wow was this off the rails.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."No, it was clearly on the rails for the majority of the episode.
Improving as an author, one video at a time.Well...that's gonna take a couple viewings to process.
I can't believe they used the return of Snowball and Tammy, and them meeting Evil Morty, in an out of canon gag. As in I literally can't believe it. I wonder if it's going to be foreshadowing somehow.
Also, I tried the website. It doesn't work.
Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? What was up with Rick's strange behaviour at the end of the episode, with him praising Morty for buying a product? Am I missing the joke, or is it just totally random?
I assumed that, like the praying part, praising capitalism was something they felt Rick would never do, with the lazy reference to covid19 killing the economy as an added bonus to be timely.
I figured it was a joke about all the merchandising and such like that Rick and Morty have been used for.
As for the rest, I don't think it was foreshadowing or anything. Quite the opposite; I'm fairly certain they were just trolling the fanbase.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. And well, it is a little lame if they're just never going to bring back Tammy or Evil Morty at all after setting them up so blatantly.
This was absolutely trolling the fanbase. Normally I might be annoyed by that. But in the case of Rick and Morty, I'm fine with it. At one time I was kind of invested in the evil Morty stuff, and Rick's potential character development. But I've come to realize that this show is at its best when its just focusing on wacky sci-fi adventures with no long term repercussions, and I suspect the writers came to a similar conclusion. They seemed to announce their new mission statement at the end of season three. I don't remember the exact lines, but it was the final scene where they said that it would be "like season 1, only more streamlined"
I remember on one of the DVD commentaries Justin Roiland actually said that he doesn't like bringing stuff back for follow up stories, because it seems too "fanficish" to him. While I certainly don't think that line of thinking should apply to all shows, I'm fine with it being used for this show.
It seems obvious that the whole point of this episode was to make fun of people who are obsessed with lore, and continuity, and want everything to "matter". Which is arguably kind of cynical, but at the same time I do think they kind of have a point. Although to be fair, people might not have gotten so worked up about that stuff if they hadn't set it up in the first place. Like that scene with Tammy and resurrected Bird Person in the first episode of season 3. Putting all that aside, I actually thought this episode was pretty funny. Although the guy cut in half was dragged out too long.

To me, it feels like the show runners have no personal investment in the show. It's not a passion project they spent their life trying to bring to the screen, it's just 'that thing that pays the bills while I try to get my cartoon about a world of talking dogs made'. They (Roiland and Harmon) take the show's success for granted and don't really care about it or than fans because it's just a profitable side project for them.
I think that's unfair assumption to make,it's not that they don't care it's that Rick and Morty is this big thing now and they have to keep making episodes for it,so there's pressure on them to delivor
New theme music also a box
A musical look into Beth's problems with a ton of neat visual references.
“You’re asking how I am but you’re phrasing it like it’s a demand”
The amount of time I’ve had my father do that exact thing....
“You’ve only said a hundred things that make me wanna puke, you’ve made sure, this is not an even match up. To change your mind it’d take a tactical nuke.”
Like, I’m sure that like has a lot to do with the show, but out of context it just feels so real for a self centered father....
