It's not a heal per se, it's just meant to keep him fully functional. He still suffered damage, if he takes enough he'll run out of energy to patch himself up

"What was the meaning of THIS?" he roars.

Not losing any speed, in fact, gaining it, he slides under the blades, At his speeds, though, there isn't much room to move around with the arrow chasing.

@Konk: When did you get here, again? This thread has been breaking the sound barrier on a regular basis ever since the politics started up. :/ You've been here since... I almost wanna say you were there in v3, but I'm not 100% positive.

EDIT: It was never this fast this often in v3.

-The draugr keeps shooting at Mami, while his atronach moves to cover him from potential return fire-

Rooftop

(gaze remaining intent on Impulse - as if willing the arrow to keep pursuing - Archer conjures another pair of the same blades and tosses them)

(they seem to magnetize with both each other and the first pair that's still in midair, intent on creating a swirling pseudo-cage of swords to trap Impulse so that the slower but still explosive arrow can hit him)

Mami dodges some of the arrows, deflecting some with her rifles, as she continues to pluck them from the cloud following her and fire them at the Draugr. With all that spinning movement she's got going there, she looks as much like a dancer than a warrior... but it's working.

Wtf is that other thing? The one that's covering him?

"Actually, it's quite simple."

He snaps his fingers, and music starts to play, seemingly out of nowhere.

"You thought I would be too weak, and in some ways, I was."

His sword starts to glow, getting ready to perform a Radiant Strike. The long-ranged beam attack I'd mentioned earlier.

"But I had something your other slaves lacked." He points to his head, and utters, "Knowledge and foresight."

He gets a running start, and takes a swipe at Sombra, the blade extending greatly and turning into a beam of pure, radiant light.

"NOOO!"

As he speeds up to ridiculous proportions, he disappears in a flash of orange light.

——IN DA FUTURE——

He's lying on the ground of the facility, dead. Apparently, the arrow had gotten him.

(sees both his arrow and his target disappear) Tch.

(disappointed, he dematerializes - not being around in da future so see that his arrow did indeed connect)

Impulse can time travel?

In future, please don't. Although you probably guessed I'd say that.

Am busy clearing trees. Might be off for a few minutes.

Maybe time shenanigans should be on the list of things to ask first about. I can't believe we didn't see that already, but as seen in Destroy The Godmodder, they can become really Mind Screw-y, really fast.

All speedsters can. I'm not ever gonna use it for combat situations, though.

In a flash of orange light, Impulse's corpse appears in the facility. Apparently, the arrow had gotten him.

*checks the note at the end of the OP, adds "anything to do with Time Travel" to the list of What Not To Do At a Stoplight Without Asking Me First*

EDIT: Did that first thing after posting that, Micool; kinda surprised me it wasn't already on the list.

BTW, for reference, the list says "includes but are not limited to, so no trying to weasel out of things.

@Pastry: If you must, and assuming it doesn't make any difference.

"No. NO!" the shadow king screams as he is engulfed by the holy blaze. Due to his dark nature, this attack deals tremendous damage to him, especially given the damage he has already taken from several PK Loves and other miscellaneous attacks. What remains of him is in no condition to fight and sinks into the ground with all due haste to recover.

He's not dead, but pretty much as good as. It'll take him some time to recover from this defeat. But rest assured, he will be back. And he will have learned from his mistakes. But you can be proud of this victory over a character who I would say is pretty darn high level.

Suddenly, several shots ring out from the out of nowhere and Mami would find that she is currently under fire by an enemy hiding in cover.

Yeah, it won't. Though you probably should have added that "time travel" thing when I brought in Booster Gold. Here, let me flashback, for you...

Ventus-Vanitas: Forget this! Booster Gold goes back in time, in an attempt to kill The Blue Novice when this thread began.

FTR, Anolis. You usually don't need to make it known to me you posted, unless it was hours ago or something. I check every post, I just spend a lot of time writing/coming up with ideas

Luckily, the first few wreck and blow apart several of her rifles, and she takes this warning to jump away, looking around for the would-be sniper.

Impulse respawns.

"That was not crash, arrow dude! NOT CRASH AT ALL!"

Said shots were actually pretty close and most likely came from one of the nearby windows.
