I assumed they were joking, but the lack of a Sarcasm Mode tag gave me a double take. I hope this doesn't require Mod Intervention.

Anyway, if you're looking for Daring Do fanfics, how about Daring Do's Bipedal Adventure?

Yea I was joking. I wasn’t aware of those tags other that Sarcasm Mode which is potholed everywhere on the wiki. Whoops. I’ll be sure to use them from now on in case I wanna indicate something.

Imo a lot of the complaints RWBY gets range from exaggerated to outright false, or in some cases "My headcanon was ruined!" {IE People thinking one character who we knew almost nothing about was a morally grey revolutionary, but when he turned out to be a complete asshole they blamed the writers instead of getting over their headcanon}. Not that there aren't legit issues with the series, but all the critical stuff makes it sound like it's the worst thing ever when it really isn't. For me the good outweighs the bad, and I never got angry at the show's flaws or felt the desire to quit.

I also wouldn't take most of what's said on the RWBY thread here seriously either. Most of the people there just seen so focused on hating the series over every little thing it does that I wonder why they're still even watching it.

You should still avoid such comments, though. Just because you pothole it as Joking Mode does not mean it's not a personal attack. I'm pretty sure that is in the rules as well.

The ironic part is that back when I first heard about RWBY, everyone was praising it constantly. I'm guessing that something happened a couple years into the show which soured a lot of fans on it.

Now that the fic is published and the trope page is up, it only now occurs to me that we should have called it Daring Do and the Bipedal Adventure (or even Daring Do and Her Bipedal Adventure). To combine our "Character's Adjective Adventure" title format with the usual Indiana Jones / Daring Do title format.

I didn't write any of that.

I don't think it makes much sense that way, since the Indiana Jones/Daring Do title format is about the MacGuffin or location they encounter. Putting something abstract like "adventure" there just sounds weird.

By the way, the photo that Scootaloo sees at the end is G3!Scootaloo, in case anyone missed the reference. The end of the world was meant to allude to the show getting rebooted.

The problem I had with "Daring Doubt" was while it was a fine episode on its own, in context it makes little sense. The main villain was just trying to guard the treasures all along — even though he's clearly doing no such thing in earlier episodes. It just reeks of the writers not thinking it through.

Also, did anyone else find it odd that the episodes featuring the Indiana Jones expy were titled with puns of her name, while the episodes titled after the actual Indiana Jones films all went to the CMC and otherwise had no relation to him?

I don't think that's odd at all. For the CMC episode, they were probably just trying to think of amusing puns for the episode titles without even considering the fact that they had an Indiana Jones expy in the show.

KP was doing a review on "2, 4, 6, Greaaat", and pointed out a big plothole I don't think anyone noticed: Rainbow Dash DOES understand the importance of cheerleading, because in a much earlier episode, she was instructing Fluttershy on how to cheerlead, and she clearly knew what cheerleading was supposed to be back then.

Optimism is a duty.

I'd say Rainbow Dash only really understands cheerleading when it's for her, and she needs to be reminded to cheer for others.

Post of the Day #2674

That's the other thing. Obviously noone know's what it's like to be that old in real life, but I would imagine that after a while you just stop caring because everyone you meet will die soon anyway. Quite. It takes a remarkable level of empathy to have gone a thousand years of watching people live and die, and yet to still engage them as complex people whose lives have value. Compared to Celestia, the mortal lifespan of every pony she meets is as short as the blink of an eye, but she still manages to find the strength to care about each and every blink. She has every right to be a cynical, heartless vampire of a person, making decisions with little care or regard to the tiny, bleating insects that are her peasant class. I mean, who cares what they think, right? They'll all be dead before her next centennial anyway! Indeed, this is often how immortal characters are written. It is a testament to the grace and compassion of Princess Celestia that she is not. Here is a pony who has seen countless generations of ponies come and go, and yet still finds the humility to engage them with kindness and to care for whatever is happening in their short, tiny lives. Momlestia Best Pony.

Yeah, I think Dashie knows how important cheerleading is. It's just, she always envisioned herself as the coach of the buckball team, not the support squad. After all, she's a Wonderbolt and eventually captains and coaches the next generation of Wonderbolts. Clearly she feels she's meant for better than simply the ones on the sidelines, even if the ones on the sidelines put on the flashy Wonderbolt-esque shows.

Rainbow Dash DOES understand the importance of cheerleading, because in a much earlier episode, she was instructing Fluttershy on how to cheerlead, and she clearly knew what cheerleading was supposed to be back then.

But Rainbow Dash didn't teach Fluttershy to cheerlead — she taught her how to cheer. Those aren't the same things.

I image a pony like Rainbow Dash would feel the same way about cheerleading that KP does in the video — what's the point? Are they really any help at all?

She'd want the crowd to cheer for her, not some people dancing on the sidelines.
