I thought this was shaping up to be yet another "Fluttershy needs to learn to stop being so scared" episode, so the ending message was a pleasant surprise.

I liked that they gave her a reason to dislike Nightmare Night beyond "It's scary."

Everyone should watch Sex and the City 2 for Halloween. It's not a horror movie but it is frightening.

@Story: OOC: Speaking of the auction house, didn't you say you missed the Excalipoor? If I recall, all you need to do is talk to some NPC just outside the auction house and it will show up again.

You know, the "scary tea party" scene struck me as rather poignant, even as I laughed my butt off at it. Fluttershy outright admits that social interactions are the scariest thing in the world to her—no wonder she's so shy.

I expected a little more of a reaction out of Pinkie when Flutters talked about fear of hosting disappointing parties.

I saw this episode when it first got leaked on iTunes and posted my comments on the spoiler thread, but now I can talk about it here.

I really liked this one! I really liked the lesson about how it's good to try new things, but it's okay if you end up not liking it, and especially that you don't have to like the same activities as your friends. That could even be linked to the season premiere, since it's a moral that argues against Starlight Glimmer's philosophy that friends all have to like and do the exact same things. One other thing that I think is funny and also very fitting for Fluttershy (who befriends most scary monsters) is that one of the animals that keeps her company is a spider, which often has a scary Halloween image, and it's not drawn in a cute way, either. I love the idea of a spider that might look scary to other ponies being a comfort to Fluttershy when she's scared, since her willingness to befriend creatures that others think are scary is one of my favorite things about her.

I recognized most of the anime characters too, except for Bulma, probably since I've only seen a tiny bit of Dragonball Z. I think it's fitting that ponified anime characters would be uninvited guests to a Halloween party, since people do often dress up as fictional characters for Halloween, including ones from anime sometimes (I'm pretty sure I've dressed as Sailor Mars for Halloween at least once). So unexpected guests at a Halloween party might very well be dressed to look like anime characters! That scene in general also reminded me of a Calvin And Hobbes strip where Calvin had the hiccups and he told Hobbes to scare him, so Hobbes started mentioning a bunch of environmental problems, such as the hole in the ozone layer.

I'm also wondering how Fluttershy turned her eyes red. Contacts? People don't normally have that sort of thing just lying around.

"Harry" was the name RD and Fluttershy used in "Party of One", and the fandom decided that it was the bear's actual name. This is the first time that it's been confirmed that the bear really is Harry and isn't just something RD and Fluttershy made up.

Went to a Halloween party last night that for my group of Facebook friends. Lot of fun was had. And crazy stuff. Nothing bad like sex or drugs, but still some crazy shit. But like I said, was a lot of fun.

Went as Chloe Price, of course. Surprisingly, my dad was very okay with me going as her and even made my costume better(Like getting me a bullet necklace like hers and trying to make it look like I had cowboy boots) and said that he would've done that earlier if I told it to him earlier.

Hopefully the next time I cosplay Chloe, I can improve on it more.

On the downside though, cause we weren't open on time, school's gonna add an extra five minutes. So while we usually start at 7:40, we'll now start at 7:30. Sure we also have 5 additional minutes added to lunch, but I'd imagine theirs gonna be problems.

Esp. for the poor bastards who gotta walk all the way from the parking lot of the old school to get to the new school. It's bad enough walking from the new school to the old parking lot when you stay after, but having to do that at 6/7 in the morning, in darkness, and you gotta be in on time to not be tardy is gonna be hell.

Plus theirs likely gonna be traffic problems.

At least we still have Tuesday off.
