There's a tournament going on right now, featuring hand-picked brackets (lots of canon and 'real' fights) and a new background.

Barney vs Rare Akuma plz!
I'm having to learn to pay the priceMouri Motonari won the tourney, with Sol as runner-up. (Rare Akuma and Barney weren't contenders, probably because there's no way anyone else would win.)
Holy crap, did you guys see the fight between Goku and Shadowman just now? It was close as hell, didn't know whether to bet Mexican or Hitbox...
I so want MUGEN with a Salty pack. Really, how many characters they have?
No regret shall pass over the threshold!
16,000 + Most of them DBZ.
I'm having to learn to pay the priceThe most real match I have ever seen.
I remember there being a huge upset on the match of Cheapest KFM vs. Wriggle Nightbug. I think the odds were like 300:1. Sadly, I was not there for that fight. Also, another meme.
- CLUTCH: Usually refers to one character KO'ing the opponent by one attack when they're both on the verge of being knocked out.

I was definitely amused by a recent match between a typical GooGoo64 creation and an overpowered squirrel that ended, after four rounds of each losing to extremely unbalanced attacks, with the GG64 character giving the squirrel a 100% damage boot to the head that sent it flying.
Meme additions and corrections regarding the first page:
- TERRORISTS WIN has been replaced by THANKS OBAMA.
- Dark Donald gets a lot more attention than Barney nowadays.
- Any mention of Darude - Sandstorm needs to include DUDUDUDUDU, the rendition of the song's recurring riff.
- RRRRRRRRRRRRR - Common phrase when dealing with dog characters, based on noted Darkstalker and recent Shaker Classic winner Jon Talbain and his constant growl in a neutral state.
- And now there's Duane from Barbie Dance Club.

If a Salty Bets page ever does get made, here's the newest logo.◊
Also, another meme.
- PERSONAL SPACE/DISRESPECT: The former refers to when one character is very close to the other character either during betting time or after the round/match is over. The latter is used whenever one character attacks the other during betting time (A few examples are Team Nicktoons, some Guilty Gear characters, and Ultimate Pretty Suika).

"Again, I just- clearly, I don't get it! I just- My heart is a tiny little mini-fridge pumping ice water through veins of stone!"I just witnessed a failure of epic proportions. Scorpio vs. Enja. Scorpio has a bug that makes him not attack if he screws up his fatality. Bug triggers on clutch, and yet Enja still lost.
100% more pronounceable then the leading brand!Hey I know no money is changing hands but isn't this still promoting gambling? Sort Of Joking But Not.

hashtagsarestupidPossibly.
Other lessons to be learned from this site:
- The top 1% control the money, making it hard for others to join them
- If you are sufficiently privileged, the concept of filing for bankruptcy becomes trivial
- People will try to trick you out of your money, up to and including editing characters for that purpose
- Few things make a group of people look more like idiots than reveling in memes (all it took for me to decide against getting a Twitch account was one instance of "Sandstorm")
- People spend way too much money on random women in an effort to validate themselves, especially foreign women
- There's a reason why they call it an "upset" victory
- Unless you're a Physical God, there is always a way to get curbstomped, and it never helps your reputation
- Few things are less fun to watch than a character with parries that is permitted to have a near 100% success rate with them
- And while I already knew this, few things ruin my day more than Fan Haters
Many of the above are tongue-in-cheek.
Yeah the use of salt as a currency actually make sense when you remember it was used as a unit of trade for many times in human history.
I only just got the 'in salt we trust' was a reference to the 'in God we trust the motto'.

I'm having to learn to pay the priceNew characters launched yesterday. Good things like adding classic SNK (and Street Fighter I!) types and BlazBlue. A few surprises, like finishing the Tattoo Assassins roster and incorporating Joe & Mac bosses.
Edit: It occurs to me that the introduction of Pan Transform means the site finally has a DBZ character that everyone can comfortably bet on. Think about it. She's a saiyan. She has AI. She's a waifu. And she's a direct descendant of Mr. Satan. (The only thing standing in their way is that pesky GT thing. And S-tier, I guess.)

And how did I miss The King vs. Duane?
hiMan, I still remember the most epic match I've seen. Rare Akuma Vs. Sun of Son, Dearly Beloved Re:Coded remix. You had to be there. Why isn't this on youtube?!

GIVE ME YOUR FACESonic OC's (OC DONUT STEEL/Original the Character) are often Mexi as fuck and much better than potato Sonic.
I have been saltybetting quite a lot recently. I tend to lose all my holla on a potatoes and steaks and then win huge amounts back with an upset.
