Then how come a good portion of his reviews are about the news circles? Both brothers are clearly influenced by them, and the majority of Sibling Rivalry is about those instead of the actual movie.

Sure, but they don't create it. They are just like we all, involved enough in the nerd community that it is hard to miss the various controversies, even if you don't participate into them yourself. Hell, I am not even sure if Captain Marvel counts as one, since it seems to be a controversy entirely made up by a group of people which wanted to have one.

Yeah, in the video, Doug and Rob are not even sure what the controversy actually is.

And then Rob proceeds to complain about not being able to just talk about a movie and not talk about the reactions. And here I am sitting here thinking, "then why did you!?"

Yeah but you cannot always ignore the social context, particularly in case of a film like this. If anything, the Walkers do focus mostly on how the movie worked for them, rather than, say, how it fared for female representation in media.

Joke Prediction: During the ending of X-Men 3, when several of the mutants are being disintegrated, I'm betting Doug is gonna do some kind of Infinity War reference.

In that case, "Mr. Charles, I don't feel so good." would be the obvious joke.

Yeah, it seems they've never stopped being friends. Doug was a guest with Brad on Rental Reviews back in September. (Though their episode aired in November, I think.)

James also had a brief cameo in the Nutcracker 3D episode last December.

Yeah, and he voiced the Nerd in the Nostalgiaween 2018 opening sequence.

A little late to the party, but I just wanted to ask:
Did Doug Walker ever apologize for the #ChangeTheChannel scandal?

Channel Awesome's Overshadowed by Controversy page mentions that Doug was the only one to sincerely apologize but I can't find that 'apology' anywhere.

EDIT: Someone made a correction. Doug admitted to making some mistakes, but never actually apologized.

To my knowledge channel awesome released a non apology and I dont think Doug ever apologised

They kind of took the "Pretend it didn't happen" method of dealing with it

Honestly I'm still surprised that there are still people here who were outraged about the scandal are still watching NC meanwhile I don't even have rule about not watching people with scandals, but I was still unable to watch NC afterwards for most parts <_<

The upcoming anniversary of the scandal shall be a momentous occasion!

I still get annoyed every time I see NC listed in my You Tube Recommendations. Particuarly if its some 'Because you watched LINDSEY ELLIS'. Drives me nuts.

It was during the Golden Gate Bridge scene where it appears to go from the afternoon to nighttime in only one minute, and then it cuts to a skit where they just blame it on climate change.
