looks at poster
Why isn't Jaune, the protagonist, in front of the poster instead of the series mascot?
Jokes aside, I really think they bring Cinder back, because dying there would be a full anticlimatic letdown, whitout having her fullfill her "character role" (Scenes like these only works in shows where it's established that anyone can really die, like GOT, regardless of story importance), and while the writers are nearly on par with Series/Boris In-Universe writers (I think only Italians can get it), they are competent enought to understand it

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upWell, that's a different discussion entirely.
Well, there quite literally wasn't any opportunity. Yes, she intended to deal with Ruby and came through Raven's portal doing exactly that (she announced her arrival by hitting Ruby with a fireball).
After that, however, Jaune quite literally picked a fight with her and she was clearly puzzled as to why. She toyed with him only for as long as it took her to figure out who he was. The moment she realised who he was, she lost all interest in him. Her interest in him was only rekindled when he almost stabbed her. As you say, she's vengeful, and she instantly retaliated against Jaune for precisely that reason. The only reason she didn't stab him was because she realised he'd be hurt far worse if he was forced to watch someone he cared about be hurt in his name — and the person he had reacted to in Cinder's presence was Weiss.
There's absolutely nothing she could do about Ruby. Salem needed her alive, and Cinder can't torment an unconscious person. Ruby did try to fight Cinder at the start to help Jaune, but Emerald made it clear she had no intention of letting Ruby do anything to Cinder, so it's basically a combination of Jaune's rage and Emerald's loyalty that prevented any kind of confrontation happening between Cinder and Ruby. At least until Ozpin's presence was revealed to the villains.
Cinder's original plan to confront Ruby did not account for Ozpin being present at Haven. She openly admitted to Raven that she had no idea whether or not Ozpin's presence was a problem, but the mere awareness of Ozpin's presence was enough to refocus her mind on the job instead of the continued pursuit of vengeance.
Nothing Cinder did during the Haven sequence seemed out-of-character to me.
Hardly. I've tackled people in my time and I have no fight training at all. Hell, when I was in school, I got cornered by four bullies and survived by successfully punching and kicking the ringleader, despite her being much bigger than me. Three days later in PE, our gym kits revealed that she was still black and blue while I didn't have a single scratch.
You don't need combat training to be able to land damaging blows on the right kind of opponent (in Ruby's case, a bog standard mook and the Grimm). If you want a proper fight against proper opponents, however, you do need training. That's the issue with Ruby — she can throw the odd moves here and there but she can't engage in a proper fight with the moves she has.
The big problem for me is caused by the Volume 5 character short. It's made clear in that short that it's very close to the start of Volume 1 because Yang's leaving for Beacon soon. However, Ruby freezes in panic when the Grimm attacks and she later says it's because she didn't know what to do without her weapon. However, in the pilot episode, she very clearly does know what to do, and in Volume 2 at Mountain Glenn (where she doesn't have Crescent Rose with her), she also knows what to do even if her punches are ineffective against the Faunus she attempts to strike.
We haven't been shown how Ruby transformed from the 'freeze' reaction into the 'fight' reaction, even if her unarmed combat is still bad.

If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I mean Cinder is still at a disadvantage with Ruby let alone Raven. Unless she mutates I don't see how she can pose a threat anymore.
Mileena MadnessWell so far the eyes only activate if someone she cares about is killed or about to be killed, so just have the fight while all of her friends are safe and relaxing, whilst playing a whole bunch of relaxing dog videos to keep her calm.
Also, so far the silver eyes can be blocked or a least shut down by being really fast.
Is a good way to avoid being on hit kill.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Losing a fight does not make someone harmless. Cinder fought Raven to a standstill despite being less experienced. Raven never beat Cinder. A sneak attack by a dying Vernal beat Cinder.
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Raven wasn't on the verge of losing, and Cinder was not doing hot as well. If the battle went on Raven might have won due to experience. As it stands Cinder can't overcome Raven or Ruby without out some mutation in her.
Mileena MadnessI'm pretty sure Cinder can hand Ruby her butt on the platter as long as no Silver Eye shenanigans occur. Seeing as Ozpin didn't see fit to educate Ruby on how to use them more effectively than panic buttons for specific situations, Cinder should be fine (unless the injuries sustained in her fight with Raven will severely gimp her).
Looking back at their brief fight in Volume 2, they were at the very least even (and Cinder was obviously holding back since a dead student would invite too much attention).

grahI agree Ruby wouldn't beat Cinder without SE coming into play, that isn't a great example since Ruby herself wasn't at top of her game either.
I mean while she didn't really win in Volume 5 against anyone, she didn't get kicked down either. Ruby will likely improve with her eyes and combat skills meaning she might get the edge if she masters those fancy eyes of hers. Again, the status of Cinder's body will determine if she can even fight anyone...
Mileena MadnessRWBY Chibi: Season 3, Episode 14 is on Youtube

Considering Hazel was there, I'd say the Ozpin problem was already taken care of.
Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?New RWBY manga by Bunta Kinami to arrive in Shonen Jump this Fall.
Does anyone recognize the name of the mangaka? A Google search yielded nothing.
grahWhat happened to the other one? It got canned?
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Nah it was just a one arc deal.
WTF!? on Shonen Jump? Really?
I mean, not that RWBY is bad (volume 5 aside), and even if I don't think is on par with other Jump series (like Promised Neverland, My Hero or, well, One Piece) I simply would've never expected Jump to serialize a manga adaptation of an already-existing animated series

There isn't an impossible dream, there are only people who give upHow much money got paid under the table? <.<
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Shonen Jump also had the Yugi Oh 5ds and GX manga a few times and both of those had the anime get created first.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaOkay, is there like a comprehensive list of all the RWBY spin-off media? I'm starting to lose track.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I would forgive so much about RWBY if they just straight up rip off the Devil Breaker for Yang's arm. In that she has multiple arms that do different things, and if she chooses, can explode them.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...I wanted yang to have a ursa arm and that didnt happen, what a shame.
" Seeing as Ozpin didn't see fit to educate Ruby on how to use them more effectively than panic buttons for specific situations,"
DOES he know how to used it?, I feel that is a valid question.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Eh, art looks nice, but more and more I can't help but think RWBY is getting out of hand with it's spin-offs.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.I mean at any one time there is a manga that is just retelling events we've already Seen, a self contained video game, and a book. That's not a lot of spin offs.
It just feels like there's a lot of branching material here now:
- a manga that retells non-critical points of Volume 1 and 2
- a beach manga that nobody here talks about
- a manga anthology that apparently tells us stuff we didn't already know
- Chibi
- YA novels about CFVY
- Cross Tag Battle
- Combat Ready board game
- Amity Arena mobile game
- a new manga that's in Shonen Jump
- Grimm Eclipse
I remember when it felt like RWBY was Growing the Beard because it had a Japanese dub.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!
Also, rage issue aside, Cinder so far have a mission: to colect the relic and that it, she torture Weiss because Jaune pick on her and it did so because Cinder atack Phyrra.
In the end the fall of the villians is because they were to divided: raven of survival, cinder to betrayl raven, Adam and is pettiness(and because blake roll 20 in stealh) and hazel and is rage.
