The Binding Of Isaac was refused by Nintendo because of religious issues, but the game had a bunch of other issues and that could've just been the cop-out response...

I mean, They are publishing a game where killing angels is the whole point.

What other issues. Unless I am mistaken, it is kind of sacrilegious but the game does imply the events take place only because A)The antagonist is just crazy B)You Character is believed to be the antichrist and the antagonist is crazy C)It is all just a bad dream and someone might be crazy

Megami Tensei games by contrast make God evil half the time, which seems more likely to offend people by my reasoning. The former is shock, the latter is challenging.

To be fair, Nocturne got around most of it by calling him "the Great Will". Yes, they heaviliy implied to hell and back that he was YHVH, but they never explicitly said it.

And if worse comes to worse, Satan or Metatron or, on the FE side, Ashera is a good enough stand in.

I hope we get more information on this soon. I mean, compared to the other announcements we got, the new Monolith Soft game doesn't have a name, but we got a trailer that showed quite a bit of gameplay footage. And in the cases of Yarn Yoshi and Wind Waker HD, while we didn't get trailers we got some screenshots and in the former's case a bit of gameplay footage.

Meanwhile...we pretty much know nothing about Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem except that it exists.

I think we won't get a trailer until E3.

I just had a thought. Watch them wait a year before announcing this game for the west.

If I recall, it was included in the Nintendo Direct for all regions. I'd say it technically is already announced.

Nah. The teaser was released for all regions so hopefully, it won't take too much time for it to go to all regions. Hopefully.

Game play would not be particularly hard for me to imagine on the Fire Emblem side. New way to recruit troops! Summon half of your army, continue on as normal.

I am curious why they are letting the Digital Devil Saga before Binding of Issac though. Maybe they were more worried about shock than actual implications, since the latter implies someone knows enough about the game to have bought it?

Awakening actually has the good kind of DLC- Not particularly pricey, and in the form of actual extra content. I trust Nintendo with this a lot more than, say, Capcom.

And Atlus isn't exactly known for DLC. Like at all.

Since DLC is often stuff that would have never been made for a game if the concept of DLC had never existed (it's often things that the developers make post-production, for instance), I'd be just peachy if this game has DLC.

So, the trailer showed a lot of different characters from different games. Are Ike and Roy and all these different characters going to meet? More importantly, will Ike have to put a gun to his head and summon a persona?

The various FE casts seem to have already met to some extent in Awakening, though.

And Persona is probably not gonna show, for reasons already detailed.

So I see it being discussed on a few other internet locales. Who do you guys hope to see in this game, besides what the trailer shows?

For me I once again want to see some SJ love. Also, Raidou needs to make his way into this game.

Fire Emblem wise, Tiki and Micaiah would be great fits. It'd be cool if Levin or Sety made it in too.

Villain wise, Doma from Fire Emblem Gaiden would be a pretty good fit, not too sure who I'd like on the Megaten side of villians right now though.

Oh, and if it has demons, you can't forget everyone's favorites, like Pixie, and Jack Frost, and Mara

She's not exactly a main character in FE by any means whatsoever, but if Nephenee manages to show up I'm going to be the happiest person. Although I'll settle for Ephraim, because spears.

For demons, I've always been pretty partial to Inugami, which sucks since it's low level. Oh Inugami, I never get to love you for long!
