I for one can't wait to see fire emblem characters make a pact with Satan. Or Igor. Or fight penis demons.

Surprising, but awesome news.

For those wondering how this will work, unless they will spice things up with Devil Survivor mechanics, I expect this project to be a new Majin Tensei game (Atlus old SRPG series that is basically FE with demon summoning/negotiation system) under the guise of SMT/FE crossover.

More on topic: I'm in. I mean, I've never played an SMT game, but I'll give this a whack.

I get the feeling that the casts of FE 8 and 13 might get a little extra focus by virtue of having dealt with demons before.

As neat as it would be, the demon mechanics are so completely different that I don't think they'd gel.

Better keep a close eye on Micaiah, guys - she already works for one Chaos aligned Goddess.

Oh yeah, the Tellius games did have all that stuff about Order and Chaos, didn't it. I wonder if Ashera will be involved in this game.

Ashera and YHVH are basically the same character, anyway.

And Yune might've been Chaotic, but she was Chaotic Good, not Chaotic MURDERDEATHPILLAGE.

I hope she's in the game however, Yune was the best new character in Radiant Dawn. Mostly because she stole HK-47's catchphrase.

The Hero and Heroine of ST, Aleph and Hiroko from SMT II, both the male and female versions of the lead of SMT: if..., the Demi-Fiend and Chiaki from Nocturne, and the hero and Isabeau of SMT IV, as yet unreleased.

Cool. I've been meaning to get into the SMT and Persona series so this will give me an excuse to do that.

I doubt that any Persona characters will show up.

Persona 4 is the most accessible. Persona 3 Portable is a good version for 3, because unlike the original or FES versions, you can control the other party members. However, it removes the ability for the MC to use different weapons.

It also goes for more of a Visual Novel presentation style for cutscenes and the like, instead of the more typical models in the PS2 versions. Then again, it also allows you to play as the female main character!

And yet it lacks "The Answer"...

I've wanted to get into Persona 3 for a long time, even before I started playing Persona 4, but I'm extremely conflicted about which version I want. Both Persona 3 FES and Persona 3 Portable have features that I consider basically necessary for me to enjoy the game.

Anyways, any idea on how SMT X FE will WORK? Anyone here play Pokemon Conquest?

I'm guessing it'll be Awakening-like FE overall, with more typical functions for human characters, with more SMT functions being reserved for demons.

Think it'll include a bafflingly large number of DLC items like Awakening?

I'm hoping Space Marine shows up. I can understand why he doesn't since whatever happens in the game probably happens in Tokyo and thus he has no way of being involved.

I'm still utterly confused about this idea. Intrigued, as I love both game series, but confused.

The one thing I just hope for right now is that the game has Jugdral representation. FE 4 is still my favorite FE after all, and I was a little bummed about how the Jugdral universe seemed to be the only FE universe that got no representation in Brawl with characters, stickers, music...anything. (hell, even Barensia, the continent of FE:Gaiden, had a song)

Space Marine would be cool too, I do love me some Strange Journey. Maybe he could show up with Zelenin (if Chisato can make the cut, then darn it, so can Zelenin)

It's funny. I made a joke that Nintendo and Atlus should collaborate together, and look what we got.

Now if only we could get Valve to collaborate as well.
