Does anyone else find The situation with RWB Ys villains, with people who accentuate or exaggerate the flaws in something to cause negativity and division in the public to be absurdly Meta with rooster teeths "Critics" in mind?

Given what Arryn Zech has revealed on her own Twitter, someone's added a Harsher in Hindsight entry to the RWBY YMMV page. I'm pretty uncomfortable by the speed at which that went up on the YMMV page after Arryn made her Twitter post and I'm wondering if it's appropriate for it to have been turned into a trope.

Her dentist turned out to be a pedophile, but nothing happened to her (her parents were in the room). At least that's what I read. There were other victims, however.

Whether it's a Rule of Cautious Editing Judgement situation, basically. Her post about her situation was added to the RWBY YMMV page as Harsher in Hindsight for Blake, given Blake's own personal history. The speed at which it went on the page after the announcement felt a bit creepy to me, so perhaps that's where my discomfort is coming from.

I mean, personally, I don't quite see a problem with all of that?

Someone saw her post about that, noticed the Simmularity and put it up. Its not like they'd feel some sort of need to wait

It's legitimately amazing watching all the people freaking out over the announcement that RT is gonna remove or put disclaimers for older videos they feel don't fit the company image.

People are acting like they're gonna delete the first five or ten years of their vids.

There are a good number of their videos I've seen that have some objectionable stuff in them. I still remember the "Connect The Hots" debacle.

I mainly watched Red vs Blue and RWBY back then, so I can't say I'll miss much of the content unless RVB is included there.

It's possible a great deal of their early content won't meet contemporary standards. Have they identified what constitutes the "company image?"

I mean I like it nostalgically, but I cringe rewatching the first 2-3 seasons.

Yeah, early RvB is... oof.

Season 8 also has an extremely transphobic joke at the start of the season that comes completely out of nowhere.
