Jacob smiled as he Kazuko shot down his offer. His first impression of her seemed to be spot on. In any case, he decided it was best not to push the matter on the off-chance he'd drive her away.

"Oh, nothing as exciting as that," Jacob answered Kazuko, "It's just called air hockey because a machine produces a cushion of air under the puck. It's played on that table over there," he pointed to the only one in sight, "Come on, I'll show you how to play."

As he started walking to the table, he said over his shoulder, "And I guess the answer's "after"."

Sukio waited, clearly Jacob was not a fan of her humor by the way he totally ignored her question, as he headed for the air hockey table she shrugged and followed, "I call winners."

[Butterfly]

Stella shrugged, then sighed.

"This is how it usually turns out. I either get stuck with shallow, self-centered royals who ask for gold and gems and pretty dresses, or have poor girls with actual problems that I can't do much about."

She titled her head a bit and glanced at a butterfly flitting around her face.

"Alright, alright." The young woman groaned. She held out her right hand, catching a bowl of something that fell from mid-air. Carefully, she placed in on the ground next to her as the butterflies swarmed off of her to flitter around the bowl.

"They wanted a snack." Stella clarified as she held out a cracker to the nearby bird, "You hungry? Food is easy with a restaurant so close. Just have to think about going to buy some and bringing it back. "

"Water is not a natural element for the gluvpaki, but I have spent most of my adult life on a planet that is primarily oceanic," the Ambassador said. "And never did that water appear to be anything but water. But this - my spectacles have been picking up something odd about it. Unusual heat emission, strange and periodic energetic bursts."

He gripped the rail slightly. "Perhaps this cruise is 'interdimensional' in more than one way, yes?"

"Hmm," Kazuko said.

She followed Jacob over towards the table. "So there's no manual?"

"That seems...supremely wasteful." Anne observed. "Unless energy is literally no object to them and they can generate it from thin air or nearly so. And if so I might actually be on a work trip, because we could really use that back home."
