For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

Just as I put out an idea for a 6-point ratings scale, I get an idea for a better 5-point one. More on that later.
Anyway, pre-show is starting. http://synchtu.be/SeanMurrayI
So yeah, new voting scale:
- 4 (or )— Certified Starcrash, The Pinnacle of So Bad, It's Good.
- 3 (or )— A good 40+ minutes very well spent; like eating candy for your brain, brain candy.
- 2 (or )— A survivable experience with a sprinkle of mildly charming qualities.
- 1 (or )—A BAD bad movie.
- X — Watching this movie is akin to acts of torture that are outlawed by international treaties.
Now, it's a question of how many/which films we've already seen do we desperately need to go back and rate, and how do we want to go about rating them. A few here and there we can probably rate on the spot (Starcrash, natch); others... I don't know.

Took me a while to find a trailer for tonight's feature. But this'll have to do.
Started adding ratings to the 'What We've Seen' List. Apart from what we've already rated (Deathstalker movies), I've pinned our dreaded scarlet letter X to some of our most notable bombs and the highest accolade to our most celebrated film, Starcrash. I now await feedback on what other titles we really need to get a group rating on.
Oh, and numbers have been turned into stars.

I would totally rate Judge Dredd .

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Me, too.
Though, I'll tell you what. Everybody, in your own time, take a scroll through The 'What We've Seen' List, and PM me the rating you'd give any movie or, preferably, movies that you feel you can give. Although, the more movies everybody rates, the better; I'd like to have as few ratings decided by just one or two votes as possible.
Also, if you feel there are any movies you would like to be shown again before rating them, let me know.
Again, everybody, take your time on this. It's okay for something like this to take a few days.

But... What if we run out of crappy movies to watch?
Just floating around...Why, there's no such thing! And I don't see why that has to be a concern at the moment.
Okay, ratings sent for those movies I remember the titles of.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987I sent ratings of SOME of the movies I've seen. I've basically seen every one of them, so it'll take a bit for me to rate them all.
War is God.You can breathe a sigh of relief, everyone. Minds at ease, sphincters unclenched, Deathstalker is over and done with, and it's time to move on with the show.
Phew... Anyway, Kung Fu Friday is tomorrow, and already we have lined-up this little doozy called Ninja Wars. It promises some high-end cinematography (for a Japanese film), gore, and the most absurd "skill" of a true ninja... ever! Don't miss out.
And thanks again to everyone who has, so far, sent PM's with ratings on various past movies, and I'd like to encourage all else who haven't yet to keep it coming. Again, the full list of every feature we've ever had can be found HERE.

Just floating around...going to bed early
may not make it
Okay, after this evening's entertainment I am totally up for doing this. Probably won't be able to regularly but I'll join in when I can.
Gimme yer lunch money, dweeb.Today's airing was a special kind of batshit.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Don't forget we'll be hanging out in Prom's room for the next two weeks or so (Link in the OP)
We'll be watching Killer Klowns from Outer Space
This isn't the video for Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
And The Cock-A-Doodie X has been added to The Glossary
This should be our theme song.
That was fun tonight. I should start doing this when I can.
Momentum, a function of mass and velocity, is conserved between portals. In layman's terms: speedy thing goes in, speedy thing comes out.Decided on a few ratings for past features that I thought were fairly strong enough to be displayed (or, in some cases, 100% feedback from the two people who've seen it; DC Cab should have , Prom You got, Mr. T, Bill Maher, Gary Busey, The Barbarian Brothers—f'chrissakes, The BARBARIAN Brothers—a practically complete 80's Checklist... Hell, it's enough to make me forget that I'm supposed to be railing on the film's director until the end of time. What the hell more could you want, Mr. Metheus136??? Bringing the rating down to 2... BAH!!! ...I kid, I kid.)
To everyone and anyone who still hasn't voted on anything he/she can remember seeing, please, don't forget to PM me and tell me your opinions.
EDIT: Take the sex moans out at the beginning, and I'll back you 100%. Until then...

I'm actually looking forward to see how the sequel compares to the original. I'd prefer some goofy cheese (as it seems to be more Affectionate Parody then the last one, apparently) over THAT THING we experienced last night.
One day, I aspire to be the rat that pressed the button in Endgame.
