And so, everything comes to a close. Despite Arin fumbling with the controls and forgetting ignoring key controls and story points (despite complaining how he doesnt need it repeated), This was the the most ive laughed at a gameplay since their dive into Undertale a while ago. Seems they are also very hooked into the series as well, so they'll defenitely be jumping back into it sometime in the future.

What did everyone else think? Were you filled with Hope for the future, or despair at the ending and all that jazz?

I definitely enjoyed it. Though it did bother me when they decided to just skip the character beats.

Sonic Heroes is back. Neat.

Arin also decided to stop torturing himself and play the GameCube version.

There seems to be video evidence of Dan sexting younger fans.

Why does this kind of behavior seem so common among youtubers?

Its result of randoms becoming celebrities (though let's face it, likely even celebrities do this Its part of fame going to head and lot of people being like "omg I love you, I live only to see your videos!" :p)

Aaaaaaand there goes another Youtuber I made the mistake of trusting. I knew vague stuff about the accusations but I admit I was giving the benefit of the doubt that he was just sleezy and not, like, actively manipulative or anything, and that the girls weren't that young.

Still have a bit of faith that Arin will address this to the best of his ability, because I don't think he'd be okay with this behavior, but Dan's his best friend in real life so I imagine this has got to be a difficult thing to reckon with. Hopefully they'll at least put GG on pause for a while.

Depends on whether Arin is motivated by morals, friendship or getting as big youtube numbers as possible <_<

ProJared's skeletons coming to light hurt pretty bad, but at least he had an irregular upload schedule and was thus relatively easy to cut off. The Grumps have been a daily factor of my life and that of countless others' for years.

I really don't want this to be true, but the existence of video evidence (which I won't watch because I can't handle that right now) means it almost certainly happened.

And it's pretty consistent with the earlier accusations as well.

I was legit right in the middle of the new episode when I heard it, too...won't be going back to that for a while, if ever. Hope everyone he betrayed are doing okay.

Depending on the official response, assuming this reaches the level of requiring one, it may just mean Dan has to leave the Grumps. Like SpookyMask says, it depends on where in the realm of morals vs friendships Arin falls.

Though I do wonder/worry if anyone's going to pull the "Dan didn't do anything illegal" defense since, going by the post, "younger" doesn't mean "underage".

Apparently she was a month away from turning 18 when they got in touch, and never did anything sexual until she turned of age. So it's immensely creepy and borderline grooming, not to mention crazy shitty to ghost her afterwards, but not underaged by the legal definition.

It's still extremely creepy and gross and trust-shattering, I'm really hurt by this news.

The fact he allegedly ghosts the girls right after he has sex with them, even if they've otherwise been speaking for years, is what really makes it sound predatory.

Yeah, situation isn't "illegal" its "incredibly sleazy and cruel".

Like honestly, even sleazy celebs who want to sleep with their fans would probably find fans who are okay with casual relationships with them, so going as far to lead them on and then cut them off completely is extremely sleazy <_<

I thought their videos on P.T. and Puyo Puyo Tetris were hilarious AF.

The more I read into this the more I'm wondering if this might not be an attempt to demonize Dan like what Projared's ex did to him that almost ruined his career.

At this point we need to have a statement from Arin to know what's up, because you have two sides with sketchy but credible enough evidence saying different things, the only thing that's certain is that Dan ghosted her after having sex with her, which is scummy but not grooming.

I dunno, everything I know about him makes me want to give him benefit of the doubt, but I also don't want to toss a victim's allegations out just because he's someone who's work I enjoy.

Fuck I liked Starlight Brigade and I feel upset that my enjoyment for that is partially ruined if this is true.

I think ProJared is still kicking but his popularity has been permanently tanked. I never resubbed to him largely because he personally confirmed he was acting scummy.

I was never subbed to him and never really bought his explanations.

This case does hurt more if its true as I do like Dan. Its a Jon Tron situation all over again for me.

My current stance is that I'm not comfortable engaging in GG content until I hear a genuine apology from Dan himself. Even if things got muddied, I want him to acknowledge his scummy behavior and not get defensive or try to brush it off. So basically, don't do the "Youtube apology." I am not going through another "we regret you feel that way" pile of crap.

I haven't unsubscribed yet since Dan is only one part of the show and there's no indication Arin knew or condoned what happened. But I also haven't touched any of their videos today.

I'm just waiting to see how Arin will respond to this.

Same. Ironically today they apparently got to the level Danny made with Ross in SMM 2. I wonder if Ross would delete or remake it if they decide to drop Danny?

I cant remember if I made the comment here, or elsewhere, but one time when there was a "Jontron vs. Dan" discussion, I commented that the only thing about Dan I don't really like was "Some of his comments make me feel like he should be on a watch list."

Hearing now that he could potentially be a predator or groomer makes that all the more worse.

I've been in the midst of creating a video game playlist on youtube, that unfortunately has a ton of Game Grumps stuff. I will not be adding any more, and might go back and replace the vids I already included, but hopefully the matter gets officially addressed asap.
