They tend to record on the actual game hardware whenever possible. It was probably much easier to use an emulator this time since they were filming over a Discord(?) call.

This right here is exactly what I want from their Sonic LPs: just Arin and Danny laughing at the inherent weirdness of the series and overall having a good time. Not Arin getting frustrated at the game because he refuses to learn how it works, or Danny reading the same awful Sonic fanfic for 10 episodes straight.
I hope this LP goes on for a while.

To be fair, Arin getting frustrated led to some of the best moments of Sonic Adventure.
Though I kinda wish they redid Sonic Adventure 2 because it did feel like most of it was fan fiction reading.

I wish Arin would stop avoiding Colors and Generations. He's expressed that he doesnt think they'd be good content since theres less to rag on, but I think he's too in his own head about that kinda stuff. Arin and Dan make good content, even when the game isnt bad.

Something I've been wanting to do was create a folder in the "Funny" section of the Game Grumps trope page is of Arin playing the original Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2. However, I'm not really sure what category to put that in?
Should it go under the Mario section? The Grump Solo section (since it's just Arin playing, and no Dan), or under "One-off" videos? Any suggestion? Or does it really not matter?

Yeah, I had an online pal who was big into Visual Novels but I could never get into them myself. I think of them too much as "games" and Visual Novels are generally lacking in gameplay.
For myself, I recently enjoyed Arin playing Dead by Daylight:
I was pleasantly surprised to see he had some familiarity with the game already, if primarily as Survivor (his overall game level was in the 50s while his Killer rank was the bottom-most rank 20). He's even using actual player-slang.

I've had to take a break from Grumps recently since I got facial surgery and really shouldn't put myself in situations where I'd find myself laughing. Kind of peeved they started another visual novel since they're always hilarious with them.
