So I just noticed that embedded videos have the avatar of the poster on the corner of the screen. How long has YT been doing this?
That's a new thing.
New in that it's been like one or two months.
A Reset ERA mod confirmed it was coming, but I'm still listing it as a rumor until it's officially announced.

Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen.Good riddance. Those videos deserved to be removed.
Defy Media has shut down today. They are a company that own multiple successful Youtube Channels, such as Smosh. They were also Chris Stuckman's managing partner.
Unfortunately, they didn't bother yet to unlink the channels they managed, which means the Adsense money still goes to them. And they owe a lot of people their adsense checks.
Of Course Youtube claims they can't unlink the channels without Defy asking.
Well that a honkin' pile a' dung. It's like an Etsy shop closing when they been discovered to only want money and never bothered to ship an item!

Defy not giving people the money they're owed? Colour me shocked.
Welcome to Estalia, gentlemen. Not really. It's just a game.
So, apparently there is an (unofficial) youtube randomizer:
Not sure if this is a good thing or bad thing, but using this, I havent come across any angry rants, conspiracy theories, or screamers,,yet.
Is it me or are videos that had annotations before youtube discontinued them now having them removed?
I wish I could ban everyone who makes a comment on an old music video to the effect of "Back when music was good" or "Back when people were better in some way".
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I mean, I'd settle for "I wish I could ban virulent racists who get a hate-boner every time they see literally anything indicating minorities are people" but sure, let's focus on people who like older music.
I know, I know. Appeal to Worse Problems fallacy. But seriously, of all the complaints about Youtube comments that's pretty minor.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Can we not complain about both?
I would ban both if I could. The music guys for being annoyingly pretentious and nostalgia tripping and the racist dudes for being horrid people.
Nintendo finally got a clue and killed their Creators' Program.
Guess who'se endorsing Nazies again!
(Hint: It's Pewdiepie, it's always Pewdiepie)
And of course the alt-right cultists come out of their little holes to defend their Swedish god.
Fuck Pewdiepie and fuck what he stands for. The single most popular youtuber in the world and he wastes it on filling fucking kids with nazi propaganda.
God I fucking hate how the youtube and gaming community has become.
One reply I think sums the whole thing up:
Pewds, Ethan Klein, JonTron, Chikichu... I'm half expecting Lost Pause and Markiplier to follow suit at this point.
Oh, if anyone wants to scroll through the replies (for whatever reason), prepare for metric tons of whataboutism relating to the guys position on The Young Turks.

I think Lost Pause and a bunch of other anime youtubers (cause of course) made a huge stink about an original show Crunchyroll is making, moaning a whole bunch about feminism and diversity. So yeah, I really wouldn't be surpsrised. With Markipkier, he strikes me more of the wishy washy type that thinks "we should all get along".
Don't catch you slippin' now.Mmm, thought so.
As an aside, Anime Youtube produces some of the worst content on that site. So, yeah.
(also what's the name of that anime?)
If I recall correctly the last time this happened Markiplier defended Pewds or at the very least tried to remain neutral and Jack Septic Eye called him out.
Jack than got harassed into an apology by Pewds fans.
I never liked Pewdiepie but how he has been acting in recent years has given me a lot of reasons to heavily dislike him as a person.
Also this. Anime seems to attract a lot of alt-right jackasses and racists. It's become so common that more times than not when you see someone on youtube or twitter parroting racist or sexist talking points that they have an anime avatar of some sort.
