It is about a girl/woman in that role. This isn't about making the most inclusive group possible. It is about this common group of four guys and a girl.

What does The Chick bring "A peacekeeping role to balance out the other members' aggression, bringing them to a nice or at least manageable medium."
Yeah...don't see how that's gender neutral.
And the name Five-Man Band doesn't give off the four guys and one girl vibe. If that's the point, it might need a rename...
P.S: And the title doesn't link to the trope...sigh...

This is the name this trope had for a decade or so before we started the wiki. The chick is a girl or woman. We have been over this enough times.

I know we just went through fixing Five-Man Band but I believe it still has issues. Namely the fact that it is still using The Chick trope.
The Chick is way too limiting of a trope, it only applies to woman while the other Five-Man Band tropes are gender neutral. And with The Smurfette Principle becoming rarer, a role dedicated to "the girl" of the team seems now out of place.
The Chick is actually a subtrope of the The Face, which not only insists it's part of the Five-Man Band trope, but also gender neutral and more versatile, allowing tropes like The Heart and The Mentor to be used in this category.
Besides, we replaced The Hero with The Leader, so why not do the same to this trope?
P.S: I apologize if this is sloppy, this is my first Trope Repair Shop and I felt this issue really needed to be addressed.
