Jeez, I'm two minutes in and the animation is already entire leagues better.
I never really liked Noodle Burger Boy as a villain before, but I loved him in this episode.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I also loved it, even though the whole "NBB being broken" schtick went a little long to me.
Yes, and the animation is a lot better.
Although I'm still wondering how there wasn't more surprise for the team when Giant Robo-Trina showed up. I don't remember Hiro telling them she was a robot.
I've always loved Noodle Burger Boy as a villain. He's honestly one of the most creepy and competent foes that Big Hero 6 has in their rogues gallery. But I do love this new status quo of him joined up with his "big sister" Trina. They work surprisingly well off of each other.

Ooh, I love it when shows switch up the opening for the season though already kinda spoiling Liv's true nature. Also, I'm curious about the dude next to her.
NBB was kinda fun as a broken robot, but I hope we get more varied with the villains this season.

Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I saw Neo!Globby as well; looks like this one might be a mutate as well, judging by their singular eye.
My sister wasn't happy to learn High Voltage is coming back; she generally doesn't like villains with music-oriented gimmicks, although I wouldn't be lying if I said I found them pretty weaksauce myself, even if I have a soft spot for them.
Puts on Shipping Goggles:
Well, Lady Deathstrike made her debut. Sort of. It's really complicated.
Whatever experiments Liv did to Momakase, it allowed her to create claws of graphene and probably made her mind melt into an animalistic state all things considered.
It's interesting how the season's Big Bad reveal was so nonchalant, like everyone had called it already, so just put them in the opening and have the second episode's cold open start with them scheming.
I find it hilarious how Momakase had to pay to be turned into a monstrous abomination that may or may not have lost her sanity. Liv is shaping up to be at least as interesting a villain as Obake.
I don't think anyone who regularly watches the show is surprised that Liv's the main villain. Now, whether it stays that way is a different story.
I am NOT looking forward to Megan at all. I was talking to someone online and they said it would be interesting if she went the reverse of Karmi by the end of the episode (likes Hiro, but dislikes BH 6). Wonder if they'll go that way; it would make the character a little more interesting.

I'm so glad that we're getting two arcs this season and Liv is just the Big Bad of the first one. I loved Obake and all, but having his story arc last the entire 25-episode season meant that it eventually felt like it was dragging on too long, especially since the heroes made no progress against him. Doing a half-season story arc format means that we can avoid similar Arc Fatigue.

Did Granville remind anyone else of Da Chief from Carmen Sandiego this episode. Like, more than usual? Especially when she showed up on the monitor?
Seriously, is there someplace I can ask about that? That really seems like it's intentional.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. My sister and me for some reason really liked the gag where Granville upgraded Wasabi's weapon... But it just made this horrific shrieking noise whenever it was used.
And that the sound design team bothered to have it keep doing that throughout the other fight scenes. XD
That is amazing and I didn't even notice that before. Now I want to know.
Even going by just the two episodes, the entire team has upped their game. Everything seems to have gotten a considerable bump from Season 1.
What made it hilarious to me is that, unlike Granville's other instances of helping them, there wasn't any justification or reason as to why.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So, given that the security obviously didn't just shut down on its own and her behavior during the attack, is it safe to conclude that Liz' actual plan this episode was to have Knox attack and/or kill Karmi and Hiro during the lockdown, and then have BH 6 or the cops put down Knox as a dangerous beast, thus covering her tracks completely?
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Based on a clip I saw of an upcoming episode, good PR and getting Knox as an "investor."
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."We saw her do that in this episode too, but clearly wasn't her plan all along. She didn't even know Karmi was going to cure Knox until literally right before it happens, and in the meantime she tries to get BH 6 kill him.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Really liked the episode. Animation keeps improving, and always enjoy a nice little Jurassic Park shoutout.
Also enjoyed Karmi's worry about Hiro and their conversation in the Cafe at the end. Two rather cute moments for them, which will probably be ignored until later in the season (much to my frustration).
One of the things I really liked about this episode is that it's nice to see Karmi in an episode and not have her whole role be "we're assholes to each other -> wait did we have a tender moment? -> Eww!"
She actually felt like a character in this one, and as a major part of the plot she worked a lot better than last time. I liked her as a fandom parody before, but this is way better.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Yeah, I'd be really frustrated if they hit the reset button again on Karmi after this episode. I don't expect her to be BF Fs with Hiro, but maybe a bit less hostile?
Also, anyone watched today's episode? Kinda felt bad for High Voltage, and I'm guessing Liv is going to cross the line and mutate someone genuinely innocent soon. Also, Megan was cute and I like her with Hiro already. I also really liked Fred and Honey trying out new things with their gadgets and suits.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Damn, Liv really has no soul. At least Obake had the excuse of genuine mental illness, and then even he seemed to care about the wellbeing of his underlings. In contrast, Liv straight up blackmails/tricks High Voltage into becoming her mindless pets.
True. My guess in that regard is also that you won't have to worry specifically about Karmi getting hit with the reset button. So two birds with one stone, I guess.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Too think my random thoughts Liv would be evil was actually the case.
I did not like the episode she appeared in during the first season.
But having only started watching the second episode of S2 I did not expect it revealed so soon after reading the spoilers.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I didn't really like Megan as a whole in the episode. She had (has?) some potential, sure, but especially after the last episode (and those scenes with Karmi and Hiro/Captain Cutie), it just seemed a little forced.
Also, did anyone else feel that the episode ended rather abruptly? Hiro talking to the Chief, and then boom, High Voltage transformed into eels, and end? I was almost expecting another conversation between those two scenes.
I'm sure we'll see the both of them soon enough.
...Oh, and I'm fully expecting Karmi to get the High Voltage treatment at some point. I feel like it's almost a given.
I did prefer Prey Date over Something's Fishy, but that may be due to Karmi finally getting Character Development and her interactions with Hiro feeling more varied and natural, even if the Tsundere traits still came out at the end. Something's Fishy did flesh out Liv's villainy and MO more, it also makes me wonder just what does she want all that money for? I honestly preferred her and High Voltage's subplot over Hiro and Megan's plot.
Not that there's anything inherently wrong with Megan, but she seems a little generic in a sea of bombastic characters. Introducing her in an episode that had probably the hammiest villains in the show aside from NBB didn't do her any favors. Also the teen awkwardness right after meeting was a bit forced and the Ship Tease was too on the nose for me.
Bob Schooley posted some more stuff on Twitter about Season 2.
May the speculation continue!
