I'm not sure we should. Should we really remove such pages simply because we dislike a creator?

Isn't it frowned upon to list YMMV tropes about real people? The subpages I mentioned aren't even describing works of fiction, but are discussing things that the creator said or did in real life.

Could've sworn I've seen discussion about them and people having already cut them on the basis of No Real Life Examples, Please!. If they were and people added them back in, those people should get a look-over.

I assumed the pages were about his show, not him in person.

So I just found this article about Phil Spector, an infamous record producer / convicted murderer. For some reason, his page inappropriately lists a lot of different tropes, as if he were a fictional character.

Meh, I'd rather just cut the line entirely. We don't really need to be told that the way a person acts is truth in television.

Bernie Sanders is full of examples troping his life as if it were fiction. Things that wouldn't fly even if he was listed under the Creator namespace. Do I have permission to remove them all?

Troping a person is never a good idea, especially when they're a politician. That can only lead to either rampant bashing or rampant gushing. Axe them.

Wow that's a lot of gushing. Choppity chop, we don't need real-life politician stuff on TV Tropes.

This ATT (which was originally a report on another troper) found issues on Boris Johnson, and several people have argued it should be cut. Would that be an option that everyone here would be open to?

The entire page, if some of the ATT comments are anything to go by.

I don't see why. We have pages on other politicians, after all. And he is the British PM, much as we may not like it.

The issue with the page, from what I can gather, is that Boris Johnson has not made many appearances in fictional media (defeating the purpose of a Useful Notes page,) much of the page is real-life troping anyway, and it is seen as a possible Edit War magnet, so there is little that is seen as salvageable.

Do we have something like a minimum quota for how many media appearances someone needs to warrant a Useful Notes page?

I don't know but from what I've heard, Useful Notes pages on people tend to require at least some fictional media appearances/references. I'm not entirely sure myself though.

The other specific concerns people had with Boris's page are detailed in the ATT I linked, as there are other reasons people want this page cut.

I think we should just make sure it isn't cut just because people don't like Johnson.

I see he wrote a novel once. That means he falls under creators, and we could keep the page on that ground alone.

Alright, so if he wrote a book, he can be kept. The real-life troping should definitely be cleaned up though.
