I'm talking more the "established canon" bit.

[up] It counts, but it... eeeeeh counts. Get it?

Chabal, I'm sorry, I just don't see an Omnicidal Maniac working in this RP, especially when one of the characters completely despises killing, even if the victim deserves it.

Alleydodger, Nega Scott is accepted, but could you nerf his powers a bit? Remove one or two things, make them obtainable later in the game.

No, what I'm trying to say is this:
There is a series on You Tube. I wish to use a alternate version of a character from the series. I am having trouble figuring out in what way to alter him.

[up][up] I know that, I watch Battlefield Friends, but what I'm talking about is that it barely counts as an established franchise, and I don't know how you would alter the Noob.

Made a discussion thread.

I'll wait more until starting the RP, considering that there are a few people who are interested that haven't posted their sheets yet.

Horrible Idea Incoming...

  • Name: Athrun Zala
  • Age: 28
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: With armor Sans helmet (He's The guy with the bombs strapped to him, and there's a good reason why I chose this picture)
  • Personality: While canon Athrun is a conflicted, complicated man who is trying to make sense of the crazy world around him (And his more than friendly feelings for his Best Friend Kira Yamato). This version of him born in the Star Craft universe however, is a mentally unstable (Instability does NOT automatically mean that he is violent, he just lacks tact, an indoor voice and anything resembling basic human social conventions) and extremely paranoid Mad Oracle / Conspiracy Theorist with no control over the visions of the future he gets because of his psychic ability and who honestly believes that he and every single sentient being in existence is being watched and manipulated by beings terrible, capricious and ''smelly'' beyond mortal comprehension. Despite his crippling paranoia and poor mental health, he is surprisingly dependable and clever when it comes to surviving hostile environments and hostile beings; after all, if he wasn't good at his job; he would have been liquidated a long time ago. And occasionally, when the madness wanes; he can become quite emphatic with others. But most of the time, he's wallowing in his own self-loathing and sorrow at the creature he has become. Though it isn't immediately noticeable due to his usual mental state.
  • Powers and Abilities: Apart from uncontrollable visions of the future that can happen at extremely random times, he has a rather weak form of telekinesis that can only levitate items no bigger than a basketball and heavier than 12 pounds, detection of other psychic beings (manifests as a form of Spider-Sense) and a weak form of Pyrokinesis that's only good for starting fires or as a distraction. Highly competent with survival skills, close quarters combat, sniping and demolitions.
  • Backstory: Born unto a general of the Terran Confederacy, this alternate version's life was pretty comfortable and high-class, having to do little to get what he wants and be successful at most endeavors he chooses to put his mind into. While this made him rather cocky and spoiled, it didn't do anything to lessen his gentle nature towards others. His life was soon forever changed when Confederacy psychic operatives discovered that he had potential to become a Ghost. Knowing full well of what happens to those that are enrolled to the program, he begged his father to not let the program take him. His father didn't respond, even when the Confederacy agents dragged him screaming from their home. His years as a Ghost took a serious mental strain on him, even with memories of his past life gone; his true nature remained still and caused him to hate himself, the government and generally everyone because of all the horrible things his masters force him to do unto "enemies of the state". Eventually he was chosen for a special experiment whose purpose is to enhance the capabilities of Ghost operatives. Having little choice in the matter, he accepted and... Changed. The treatment had given him the ability to see the future, but unfortunately; it had also restored his old memories, combined with everything that happened to him and did during his stint as a Ghost; promptly went insane in order to cope with the stress. Despite all that, little if any at all changed with his miserable life and he was still the government's puppet. Lately, he's been getting really lucid visions of a ship full of people and an incomprehensibly powerful being at it's helm.

Stri, what can I say? Well, for starters, the personality part was interesting, and I'm sure that if you wrote the backstory part, the sheet would look even better. I only have two problems with your sheet: one, the powers part. I'm ok with random visions in the future (just as long as they aren't used as a massive Deus ex Machina), poor teleknesis and that, but mind reading, not so much. As for that Psychic Lash... what the hell does it do? The second problem is that I've read the character you based this on, and I think you've changed him too much, to the point where there is little to nothing from the original character on this alternate version.

If you can take my suggestions and work them into your sheet, then I'll gladly accept him into the RP.

Will do. Leash can melt through 300 mm of steel and can utterly ruin an organic target's nervous system with an overflow of psychic energy. It can't do both at the same time. And Backstory's basically just him born into the Crapsack world of Starcraft as the son of a general and was made into a psychic operative when the government discovered that he had psychic powers. What made him so different is the process that made him into a Specter, as it erased most of his personality and made him like... that.

Okay, I think I have a decent concept for a 2nd character. I was somewhat inspired by the fact that, even though My Little Pony has been talked about without anyone showing contempt for the series, no pony characters have actually been accepted yet.

  • Name: Rarity Belle
  • Age: 18
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: She's the white unicorn on the cover of "Rarity's Tears"
  • Personality: While this version of Rarity still has a passion for fashion and admires the upper class, fighting against Nightmare Moon's forces has toughened her outlook on life. Not afraid to fight in order to protect her loved ones, even if it leaves a dreadful bloodstain on her perfectly good outfit, expect her to be one of the first people on the battlefield if diplomacy just isn't an option. However, Rarity has a generous heart and doesn't want to outright kill anyone, even if her opponent was Nightmare Moon herself.
  • Powers and Abilities: As a unicorn, Rarity has some magical aptitude, but rarely attempts anything more challenging than telekinesis (AKA picking up stuff). As seen in her Appearance section, not only can this version of Rarity stand on two legs, she can also wield a whip she calls the "Nightmare Killer" despite not having any fingers. But by far, her greatest talent is the ability to take a few gemstones and make even the heaviest armour look absolutely fabulous!
  • Backstory: In a world where Nightmare Moon could not be redeemed by the Elements of Harmony, the world of Equestria suffered in darkness. Rarity and her friends tried to cope with the fact that they had failed, but none had the willpower to take further action. And then, one night, the Cutie Mark Crusaders (which were still formed in this universe) decided to take action, try to be heroes, and maybe get Cutie Marks for their actions. Unfortunately, they got captured and were imprisoned in Nightmare Moon's castle. While it's one thing to seek vengeance for being trapped on the moon, it's another to mess with somebody's family, and Rarity decided that she had to do whatever she could to rescue her little sister Sweetie Belle. Deciding to take a more aggressive stance on the situation, she crafted her armour from the finest gemstones in her collection, learned some whip techniques from Applejack (who wanted to come with her and save Apple Bloom, but chose to stay back and protect the town instead), and set off to beat some sense into the tyrant Nightmare Moon once and for all...

...So, yeah, a Castlevania version of Rarity. Think it'll work?
